Awesome!

This is some of the best four and a half dollars I have ever spent on something for my toddler. Talk about hours and hours of entertainment. There are so many stickers and you really can reuse them over and over again. They also cling to windows and other glass as well making for hours of fun (and clean up...) My only negative would be that this actually pulled apart pretty quickly at the seam giving me 8 individual pages instead of a book. It actually worked out ok for us, but for some people it might be frustrating. We took this on the plane and he played with it for a very long time. He continues to play with it all over the house! Great investment. I will be buying another at some point I'm sure.

Best reward / bribe for potty training

I used them to potty train my 2 year old. Its amazing. He gets to put the window cling on the window when he does his business in a potty and I also ask him to hand one over to me whenever he has an accident. Its easy to peel off and easy to put on the window and it's reusable over and over and over again. Going to buy another one for future bday present for friend's little ones.

Wonderful stickers for rewards

I use the Melissa and Doug stickers as rewards for the students I tutor. Each student can choose a background and then earns stickers to place on their scene. When they are satisfied with their scene, they can take it home and play with it. The kids, ages 5-11, really look forward to choosing their stickers. I do have a little problem with them not always sticking very well, especially if they have been left in my car and been subjected to heat, but dampening them just a little seems to do the trick.

Yes, 5 stars! Duh. But prepping this well makes it a much better activity.

It boggles the mind that anyone could give this less than 5 stars. People, it is $5! My 2 year son has played with this almost every day for months. Easily the best value toy I have bought. That said, I think you can do some prep work to make it more fun. 1) don't try to keep the pages bound. This doesn't work and makes it hard for kids to place the stickers on a scene that makes sense. Instead, pull out all the pages and separate them. Just use the book cover like a folder. 2) Especially for younger kids, pre-pull all of the stickers off, remove the extra sticker border material and place them on the blank page for much easier grabbing by little fingers. 3) When you introduce the stickers, consider just giving them one scene and corresponding stickers at a time. Five scenes and 5 sets of stickers are too much and can make them hard to appreciate - especially when new. Once my son had played with all the pages, he started telling me which scene he wanted to play with at a time. I am not someone who is big on directing my kid's play. I like letting him explore on his own and be creative. However, with toys geared more towards older children, he does best and plays independently longer when I do some prep and set him up to play based on his abilities. I am sure an older kid would do just fine navigating the sticker book the way they want.

Fun, quiet, independent activity for preschoolers

These stickers are a fun quiet, independent activity for preschoolers (once their fine motor skills are honed enough to get the stickers off the original sticker sheet - they may need some adult assitence with this first step). One thing to note - I'd intended to use this as a car activity for my four year old, but the oversize shape of the pad makes it a little bit unweildy for her to use in a car seat, and I definitely think it would be too large to pack in a bag/take to a restaurant. It is a better quiet time/rainy day activity for at home. My daughter uses hers when her siblings nap if she doesn't feel like napping, because I like her to take some quiet down time without resorting to TV. I purchased this item as a "big brother gift" for the older child of a friend who just had a new baby - it's the perfect quite, self-sufficient activity for him to do while his mom is attending to the baby.

Great quiet time activity! Love it!

These are awesome! I picked up several of these books for my LO. I just had baby #2 and wanted some quiet time activities for him to play with while I'm nursing so that we can sit on the couch together and still have time together. These are perfect. We can make fun scenes together with the stickers. I love that they are reusable, too. The thing that would make this product even better would be to have a page that the stickers can be re-stuck to. It's hard for my LO to match up the sticker to the blank spot on the original page when he done using the stickers. It also would be awesome to have a smaller version for the car. This is pretty big! BTW, my LO is 2 for anyone wondering if this is a toy that their toddler could play with. Watch out though...he does like to put the stickers in his mouth, so you have to watch closely, LOL.

Tons of Stickers! Great buy

So I haven’t had my child use them yet but I’m excited as they seem perfect for up coming plane ride. These are Vinyl stickers, which I appreciate. And tons of stickers! 5 11x14 sheets of stickers and 5 scenes. The pages are a thick gloss card stock. Since I have a two year boy, I did as others suggested and put in protector sheets so they wouldn’t rip. The pages are big! Legal size. I didn’t want to spend 3 times as much on protectors as I did the item and 11x14 is big for an airplane. so I just cut mine down to size. Pictures above of what I cut off and what was in the protector sheet. Since the sheets are glossy I’m using the scrap 5 inch pieces with dry erase and crayons as it wipes easily. So far I’m happy with it for the price and will update after our trip!

this is the bomb!

Really fun sticker sets with 4 different play mats. My 2 year old loves to remove the stickers and place them on the mats. The stickers are realistic looking and contain a lot of variety within each category. He names all the different pieces as he plays and loves to look at all the different stickers. These are reusable and seem to be holding up well so far. Would work really well as a travel toy too.

Great fun on road trips for a low price.

I take road trips a lot with my kiddo to visit family. She is a freakin' trooper when it comes to driving, but she does get bored and **never** naps (ugh). Much of the time she will watch movies on the Kindle Fire or play with a few toys, but she also likes to be creative. This Melissa and Doug Reusable Sticker Pad is a staple on our cross-country travels. The pad itself is larger than a standard piece of paper at 14" x 11"--plenty big enough for kids to have some fun. There are also tons of stickers that are appropriate for the five scenes. They give kids plenty of opportunity for creativity whether the kid is the "organizer" who likes things in their place or if they want to be silly and put a train in the water or boat on a train track. All of this encourages children to think. The stickers are just soft plastic that are easy to remove and to place. They have their own pads for safe "storage." We have lost some of the stickers here and there, but I do not think that any of them have lost their adhesive properties in any way. We have had this for nearly two years now, and it is still in good condition in spite of lots of miles (literally). The entire set folds up nicely like a book, and as mentioned the stickers stay on their own sheets rather than having to be kept in a bag or something. It makes it easy to keep up with them. Overall, this is an awesome product, especially for the price (currently under $5). That's not just cheap by Melissa & Doug standards, but it's cheap by toy standards!

Perfect on Vacation also ( sticks to all glass and mirror)

My 2 year old loves "stickies" and well, I am tired of scraping them off windows and tables ( marble so they stick real good). He also ends up with them on his clothes and that makes a gooey mess when washed unknowingly. Did I mention I hate them stuck to my shoes ( unnoticed in a hurry)...so....When had purchase a set of these in the animals for Vacation and they were such a hit we got him these and more for his birthday! They stick to windows and any glass door or mirror ( also to the included backgrounds for car travel) . I love them because they make no mess and Sam loves them because he can have "stickies" !! If you are gonna be on vacation or visiting someone take these with you!! Any glass door or window or floor length mirror can keep tots busy !! And again no stickers stuck to anything ( especially others things). These did not have any funny smell to them, they are fairly durable. Sam stretches them when they fold over on each other, trying to straighten them and it takes a lot to break them. The price on these is excellent also.
