a great value for the money
So, much like the labeler that this goes in, I very much like it. Easy to install. No fuss. Just pop it right on in. The ink (wizard blood) (see my review of the DYMO LabelManager 160) never smudges. The paper on the back peels away very cleanly and easily, not like leg waxing either. I bought this when I bought the labeler several years ago and I'm still going strong on the second roll. Its a great value for the money. If I ever run out, I'll be like Arnold and I'll be back.

This is good labeling tape
This is good labeling tape. I like the black lettering on white background because it works on everything and I don't have to keep swapping cartridges. The 1/4 inch size has, so far, been perfect for me for labeling everything in sight. The letters are nice and big, easy to read. The ink dries instantly and doesn't run when wet (I tried it). I put these labels on my dry goods containers and I have had no peeling over time (I've had the labels on for a few months), even with the powdered goods like flour, which I use often. The paper backing on the tape is pre-sliced down the center for easy removal, and the glue feels strong.

I Will Only Use Dymo Tape. It’s the best.
Genuine OEM product. Doesn’t jam up or bunch up. Labeling is a bother to begin with. Best to pay for label tape that works. Once it’s stuck on it stays, with a couple caveats: Apply and press on a surface at room temperature, or pre-heat surface with 10 seconds of a hair dryer blast. Also if the material is “corrugated” plastic material that is designed not to have things stick to it, you may want to cover label with regular household invisible tape. (Not that cheap magic tape). No fading or separating, stays long life.

The lettering is dark and big with not too much label wasted. I don't have bad eyes
I bought this size and the 1/4 inch size in black lettering on white label because I wanted something I could use everywhere without changing cartridges over and over. This, so far, has worked perfectly for me. I labeled lots of stuff, but I found that the 1/4 inch size is not too small for really anything indoors, such as containers in my cupboards or closets. I might want the 1/2 inch size for labeling things outdoors that I might need to see from a distance greater than a couple of feet, but so far, the 1/4 inch is plenty big enough. The lettering is dark and big with not too much label wasted. I don't have bad eyes, but the letters are larger than large print books I've seen. The ink dries instantly and does not run, and the labels have a plastic coating on them that feels like they will last for a long time. I haven't tried to peel one off yet to see if it comes of cleanly, but they are supposed to.

Love this stuff!
These cartridges are great! They come in a variety of colors and sizes, are very easy to snap in, and create flawless labels. I don't know how I lived without this label maker for so long! It has simplified everything from my tool chest to my filing cabinet, and in-between.

Good quality!
Works perfectly with the DYMO LabelManager 160 Hand Held Label Maker. Split back makes it easy to peel off paper backing.

You can’t go wrong
You can’t go wrong with using the name brand labels. I’ve used the knockoffs, although they work fine in most scenarios, they’re horrible for wires and cables in hot locations. I labeled all the wires in my truck’s sound system using the knockoffs, and when I went back in to do an upgrade about a year later, most wires were coming loose and a couple fell off completely. The name brand labels are expensive but they stay put. I’m gonna start using the knockoffs on my freeloading friends, otherwise I’m gonna stick with the good stuff for myself. Tip: pre clean surface with some alcohol, and use un-powdered gloves when applying labels to assure proper adhesion. Thank you.

What can I say? It's label maker tape. It works. Buy it.
We love our label maker and the DYMO replacement tape is always reliable. Price is a little cheaper than what I can buy in the store, but I save a lot of taxes being in the state of Tax You To Death Illinois. Plus I can add it my cart and buy it with other stuff vs going to the store and forgetting what I went there for and coming home with a bag full of stuff I didn't need and still not remembering to add the tape to my bag. No waiting in lines to check out with smelly people and cashiers with attitude is just an added bonus of buying this product online.

This is by far the best deal on these cartridges
Today I am reviewingDYMO Standard D1 Labeling Tape for LabelManager Label Makers, Black print on White tape, 1/2'' W x 23' L, 1 cartridge (45013). This is by far the best deal on these cartridges. I work in IT and I am constantly labeling cables, computers, etc on a daily basis and go through these labels frequently. At the big box stores expect to pay $15-20 per cartridge. These are Genuine Dymo labels and fit the label maker perfectly. Whats in the package: 1 - Label Cartridge Pros: Good Fit OEM Product Great Print Quality Cons: None

This is NOT the Permanent Type.
I'm giving this product 5 stars because there is nothing at all wrong with this label tape. It does what it should, however it is NOT THE PERMANENT TYPE. This type is mislabeled in this ad as permanent. It is actually the "easy peel" type and will not stick well to plastics, smooth metal, etc. It does stick well to paper products and it is easy to get the backing off. If you are looking for the permanent Dymo tape do an Amazon search for 16955. That is the model number you need. It comes in 18 ft lengths (instead of the 23 ft) and is sold in a plastic blister pack. Unfortunately I haven't been able to find it in the white-on-black variation. I hope this helps you out and saves you from the trouble of having to return a nearly useless 10 dollar item.
