I appreciate that this mesh is packaged in a roll
I appreciate that this mesh is packaged in a roll. It was evenly cut and a breeze to install, I just unrolled and clipped it on the poles as I went around my fruit tree cage, which happens to be 7' tall. So it fit perfectly on the sides of the cage. I just rolled it up to the top and secured with small bungee cords. Now it's ready when I need it. One less thing to worry about. I plan on leaving it on all year. If needed I can place fleece or plastic directly over it in cold weather when needed. The mesh is 1/2" x 1/2" and the birds can see enough shine on it to actually land on it instead of flying into it. But it does not obstruct my view of looking at my beautiful food plants. Note* I secured a heavy duty mesh netting on the top of my fruit cage to withstand smaller falling branches and hail. I recommend attaching this taught so the birds will not get tangled in it.

Alternate uses
I don't have deer in my area but between the birds tearing off leaves from seedlings and the squirrels digging up the rest of what is left, I wasn't able to get my garden off to a proper start. I bought this and wrapped it around inverted tomato cages and secured with small zip ties. Once I put these over the plants (after I replanted them) noting got to them. It isn't the easiest material to work with, but after the third or fourth cage I dressed up, I got the hang of it. I imagine it could be frustrating using this for a large perimeter, but that's not how I used it so I didn't dock it a star. Also, there have been some complaints about it being too thin. Again for my purposes I used it as it came, doubled up in a 3.5' roll, so for my purposes that also hasn't been a problem. Even doubled up it is hardly noticeable. Nothing has ripped it yet and once the plants are established I just take the cages off, stack them, and they are ready for next season.

Works great to keep my free-range chickens out of the tomatoes
Works great to keep my free-range chickens out of the tomatoes . That's all. Any pest that wants in will get in. My tiny dogs run into it because it's nearly invisible. But it is worth mending the fragile netting to watch them bounce off the barrier and be completely confused as to what just happened. Not kidding just the act of putting this stuff up can tear huge holes in it. If you can move slow and carefully it's fine but it's not exactly a project I would ask my husband to do. One major drawback of this product is it has killed 3 of my local rat snakes. The poor buggers get stuck in it and die all tangled and miserable. I was able to save a few but if I use this next year I'm going to raise it off the ground a few inches to help my little friends stay safe.

Perfect for protecting the garden
I read a lot of reviewers having issues with tearing but I can honestly say that we've had zero problems with this netting and are very happy with it. I set it up with just four metal stakes surrounding our 10'x4' garden bed and it has kept out deer, bunnies, our dog, and our kids. Plus it's basically invisible so it doesn't look junky at all. We didn't create a door so when I go in to weed I just unhook it from the loose ends of the zip ties on the open end and let it fall open. It hooks back up with no issue and no tearing so far. I water right through the net with the shower setting on my hose. Easy peasy and no deer eaten crops! Now, if I could just get rid of the slugs...

Hint-Tie a bright ribbon every 6 Feet
I replace this product about every 2 years or so. Eventually, it does wear out, but does the job. We live out in the country (outside Atlanta) next to a large park and a greater sized watershed and the deer are prolific and hungry. I see herds of them on my property munching on weeds and grass. But, the vegie garden is off limits to them! 98% of the fields around here are not farmed anymore and have regrown their forest, so the deer are a real pest and road hazard. One year a stupid deer got caught in the fence and tore it, but we used string to repair it. After that, I tied a bright ribbon every 6 feet or so at deer eye level height and never had a problem since. It also keeps people from walking into it as this fence virtually disappears into the background.

Worked Great
I bought this to build a porch kennel for my cat, so he could go outside anytime he wanted. It worked great. See my picture. I would buy this again.

Might be helpful for tree trunk protection, but deer fencing? Not close
Bought it because someone reviewed that it caught a couple of snakes YES! but alas, no snakes yet. The netting is thin, it sticks to itself when you curtain it about, but once it's in place, it works well. It will NOT keep deer out, if those guys want your stargazer lilies, they will get past this netting. Birds however, they don't dive for the strawberries any longer. YES! So depending on what you need, it is pretty sturdy, very very thin, and almost invisible when hanged, birds will be like "what the" but deer will be like "hmm, another cobweb to carry in my antlers..."

AWESOME for soccer
AWESOME for soccer. Half of our backyard is on a slope and the kids had a tendency to kick the ball down the slope if it was deflected. This was very annoying for everyone involved - so on a hunch I bought this fencing and ran it long ways at the slope-line. I was skeptical at first - as was the wife - but for $18s I gave it a go. So far so good! The fencing is 7 feet tall but comes 'folded over' which is what I was planning to do with it anyways, so I have a great 3-ish foot tall fence that stops the ball, and to tell you how durable it is, even when my 70lb dog ran into it, the fence just flexed but did not give - so I can imagine that this is actually a pretty good deer fence as well because deer are probably not chasing a soccer ball when they run into the fence. Would totally buy again if I need to replace the fencing.

Saved my chickens
I know this stuff is for deer but we use it cover the top of chicken coup. Haws don't fly in, good to throw some leaves on top so they actually see the netting. Coons get caught in it. Squirrels work there way in but they don't bother the chickens. To date have not lost a single chicken due to this netting.
