So, as you can see in the photo, I am getting a lot of work done with the Oregon S62 AdvanceCut chain. I haven't had the opportunity to sharpen it yet (probably needs it now!), but I may update the review after doing so, since others have mentioned that it would not hold a good edge after first use. All in all, you can't really complain about much when you get a new 18" saw chain delivered to your door within two days, at this very LOW price! Some of you may notice that I'm using this chain on a Worx 304.1 18" electric saw. This chain is not a great choice for the saw in question because, although it has the correct gauge and pitch, it only has 62 drive links, instead of the necessary 63—this means that the chain is 3/8" shorter than it's really supposed to be, which makes installation a little tricky, due to snugness. Still, it CAN be done without too much trouble, and I'm just highlighting this fact, in case anyone has difficulty getting their hands on a 63-link chain for their Worx saw.

If your using this blade, you have a light duty saw So don't expect miracles. Mine is an echo CS-400 with an 18" bar. For $15 you get a brand new fresh blade that cuts straight and can keep up with the motor. Once the blade hits the dirt or a rock a few times it gets harder to keep it fresh with a file and if you're like me, I end up sharpening one side better than the other so the cuts start to turn. Easier to just replace the chain! Keep a spare on hand.

Works great with my CRAFTSMAN CHAIN SAW Model 358351800 (aka Model 358.351800). Got the chainsaw second hand with a chain that was beyond sharpening. This revived it. Turns out when I looked closer, my chainsaw's bar was labeled "Oregon." I'm guessing Oregon supplies a lot of the parts for Craftsman chainsaws and that I ended up putting on an OEM chain by buying Oregon brand.

What a fantastic experience I needed this chain desperately this morning Monday April 9th and I ordered it last night April 8th thankfully I ordered 2 more for my other saw and so I got one day shipping it arrived at 10 am I was so happy and I was able to finish cutting a huge tree on schedule! Also this chain by oregon is oem for my craftsman 18 inch saw. My old chain was used and abused and sharpened and repeat! So I ordered this plus 2 more 16inch chains for my other saw. I was so grateful it cut through this old and thick oak tree like butter! Great bang for your buck! Honestly can't beat this price I bought 3 chains for ~35-36$ that would be the price of one chain at any hardware store near me.

Works well on my Craftsman Electric 18"! Noticed that the Factory chain is an Oregon brand as well, which kept its sharpness for 15 Mexican Palms (lots of fiber) that were 25' tall. That includes all the many intermediate cuts to smaller sections for disposal. Could have sharpened original chain, but this replacement was a much more feasible route over buying a good chain sharpening tool. Especially, since the original lasted so long.

I've used this self sharpening chain idea for a few years now. I'm a homeowner who doesn't have to use the chainsaw very often. We have dropped over 8, 16" diameter Maple trees over the past 20 years, so I know how to fell and harvest a tree. I grew up on the farm and we did some wood cutting when I was a younger man, as well. The self sharpening idea lets me do what I need to do without having to deal with sharpening. It's fast, works a dozen times on one chain, then I throw the chain away. It'll get me through one of those trees or more before I need a new one. Works for me. but probably not for someone who cuts a lot of wood. If I were one of those guys, I'd learn how to sharpen a regular chain and not buy these.

Much better than the safety chain type with the raker teeth between each cutter. As long as your saw has enough power (keep it tuned) these chains will cut your work time. They don't stay sharp any longer than other Oregon chains I've used but that isnt a problem for me since I machine sharpen them 2-3 times before tossing them out. These fit my Echo CS400 nicely.

The unit I received was not as pictured in the standard "retail" package. Instead, I received a paperboard box. It's all original from Oregon but it seems the part numbers have changed. Instead of a simple "S62" the part is now 91PXL062G. Oregon could have changed their numbering system years ago for all I know since I use my saw only occasionally and sharpen the blades. This is exactly what you want if you're looking to replace an existing 18 inch chain that has the "S62" on the gold link. You can go to the Oregon website and verify what will fit your chainsaw (I did when I first saw the different packaging).

Have not used this for more than a couple hours of run time so I can not attest to it’s longevity but nothing beats the ease of cutting with a fresh chain that runs real smooth! They sink through really thick wet slimey roots and wet lumber or dry lumber without the insane amount of chatter on the wood cut you’d expect from a chainsaw (yes there is still chatter but minimal) For the price this thing is great- beats the local hardware store price by %50- And honestly I Was hesitant to purchase this brand over OEM stihl or Husqvarna- but the reality is these are consumables - you can sharpen them When they dull to push them a little further but hey for the price this advance cut chain cuts great and runs really smooth fast and tight

Bought this chain for my backup saw since the oiler went out in my big saw. Haven’t used it much because of the poor cutting due to “cheap” not inexpensive chains purchases from local Ace hardware cut to length, but after putting this Oregon chain on I am truly amazed at the difference. Was very skeptical when I had to use it on a 40+” circumstance oak but it finished the job without hesitation with little effect in sharpness! Was going to buy another bigger saw but after today will keep the little one as my main go-to now that I know it was just my poor choice in chains.
