An engineering Marvel.
I was looking to buy a Hibachi Grill. However I thought a hibachi would not be so easy to transport to a campsite. So I looked around. I had owned Weber grills before and they are reliable. I preferred this one over the Smokey Joe for a number of reasons. First of all it is square and packs up easily. The legs fold and secure the top for transport. I was most impressed when this arrived at my home and I put it together. Very simple, essentially just screw handles together and attach legs. On closer inspection I admire the engineering. The lower vents are secured by the spring action of the legs. The legs secure at the bottom with a clip. The top has brackets so that it can rest in the open position. I especially like the size. Perfect for two people but it could accommodate more than that. And, if possible I hate to leave my grill out in bad weather. It is very easy to put it on a garage Shelf when not in use. It is not only my home Grill, but my Camp Grill as well. You got a lot for the money.

PERFECTION
Used this within a week of receiving! We are still trying to learn how to utilize it best but the design is perfect for slow and coal flavor infusing cooking. Extremely happy with this purchase. Additionally, I ended up ditching the bottom metal rack to hold coal above the pan (for ash collecting purpose). Having that rack made the coal too close to my food; I was afraid of burning my food. So i laid the burning coal directly on the metal bottom of the grill and it was fine. No burnt food and the metal bottom held out against the coal well.

Great Camping Grill
We've had this grill for at least two years now. We keep it in the front storage compartment of our 5th Wheel. It is easy to setup and take down. Does a good job holding temp. We either set it up on a folding metal camp table or on top of the campsite grill. Of all the portable grills we've had for our RV's this one is the best.

Great BBQ
The Weber Go-Anywhere Charcoal Grill is a great portable BBQ. I used it for the first time yesterday along with my Weber One Touch Gold while Q'in for a few guests. I used the GA to cook Bacon wrapped Chicken Skewers indirectly while adding a little sear. Plenty of room on this portable grill to cook directly or indirect. Once my skewers were complete My Tri-Tip sitting on my 22.5" OTG needed a final sear to complete the cook. With the coals sitting close to the grill on The Go-Anywhere, I tossed the 4lb.Tr-Tip onto this portable grill and it finished it off nicely. Too bad I didn't plan on using it more during this cook, I am eager to really put it to the test. I have no doubt it will cook anything I throw at it. To all the people complaining about the handles becoming hot... What do you expect from a portable grill that is able to put out so much heat? The bottom side of the top handle did get a little hot when keeping the lid on, but nothing that would keep you from being able to use the handles. One cool feature is that a 13" x 9" baking pan fits perfectly underneath the Weber Go-Anywhere. I was able to place cooked meat in the pan covered with foil and slide it under the GA to keep warm. Overall, this is a quality built grill that I would recommend to anyone looking for a portable grill.

All you need for 2-5 people
I love this thing! My first charcoal grill. I went down the youtube rabbit hole of modifying it. Got some sweet wooden handles (the plastic ones that come on it get hot while using it - my only complaint with it), grill grates (awesome) and added a thermometer. We use it as a home grill not a travel grill. It's just the wife and me usually. We have used it to make burgers for up to 5 people and it's been fine. We got this to replace our rusted out stand up full size 2 burner gas grill. Really digging the charcoal flavor/experience. The best part about this thing is how dang small it is! When not in use I store the grill grates, small weber chimeny (full of charcoal ready to go), spatula, and EVERYTHING else you need INSIDE of it closed up. I then hang it on the slat wall from a hook in the shed. Takes up almost no space. Since we usually only grill on weekends that is super nice.

Best choice for urban grillers
My urban family agrees that this is the best purchase we made last year. We live in a city and have no yard. Our opportunities for grilling come when we take it to a park or go travelling and we have adored languid afternoons in the park, and using it at rest areas for lunch while on tedious drives. But we must store the grill indoors when we are not using it. This grill is more functional for our purposes than the round version Weber sells, and it compacts beautifully for the trunk of our car. It sits easily in the two-wheeled shopping cart we use to walk it to the local park, and it sits easily on the shelf. We once had a Smokey Joe, which we loved to cook on, but was much less convenient to transport and store. I hope Weber keeps families like mine in mind going forward. How about a kit that fits inside this grill, consisting of a small chimney starter, container for briquettes, and grill brush/tongs and spatula? That would let us transport everything we need in one neat package

Great grill for on the go people.
Weber has engineered this grill to perform as well as their bigger grills. It will cook almost anything their other grills do. With the exception of Turkeys this will get the job done. I like the 6 vents in the charcoal chamber plus 2 more vents on the lid. With these the temperature is easy to regulate. Porcelain enamel paint on it means it will last for years. This paint also reflects heat back onto the food. Direct heat or indirect heat lets the user determine many different options in grilling. Easy clean up and easy storage sold me. I have the small size charcoal chimney, charcoal(in freezer bags), wood chips, lighter cubes and all my tools stored inside. Had to cut the cooking grill in half to store everything but it's great to take the whole Kit and Kaboddle in one. Five stars, the other camping grills don't come close to this beauty.

I Love this grill!!
This grill is wonderful for small barbecue jobs I can grill two mid size steaks or 6 to 8 pieces of chicken depending on size of the pieces. I like to leave about a quarter of the grill rack without any charcoal under it for moving finished food to that area to keep it warm and not on top of coals. I also place aluminum foil in the inside bottom of the grill but leave the holes open on the side of the grill while cooking and when I'm ready to dump the coals off the bottom grill shelf it makes for a super easy clean up and my grill will last even longer. I can just fold up the foil with the cooled coals and toss. It grills beautifully and after I'm done grilling and have closed all the vents the grill cools down fairly fast . I did buy a small aluminum table for 22$ to place this on so that I can have it up off the ground. When I received the grill it took me perhaps 5 minutes to attach the handles and the legs. Instructions were simple. Very happy with this grill.

Love it! Cooks well, fold out easily - small & portable - and grills food great!
I absolutely love this! After reading several reviews on this one vs others (& several portable gas grills that had mixed reviews - mostly bad) - I decided to get this one. So glad I did! 1st off - super easy to put together. 2ndly - I BBQ once a week and this thing makes it easy. I live in a 1 bedroom apartment with no balcony and a tiny garage that I have fit my car in (so I dont' have room for a full sized BBQ). I got this & forgot how good BBQ meat is - oh! the best! Got a bag of charcoal & lighter fluid from Target & I was ready to go. This thing was big enough to fit ALOT of meat on the grill and, after using it - it all folds up and I can easily place it back on a shelf in the garage - as it takes up very little space (think - the size of an underseat piece of luggage). it's small & portable - which I love!
