Works for what we bought it for.

We didn’t buy this to block small children. We bought it to keep the glass on our stove clean. We have a gas stove and the control panel is on the top and gets very dirty and greasy. Hooking this just under the grates (we didn’t use the adhesive and it's easy to take off and clean) keeps the grease from splattering.

Fantastic product, great value

I am now purchasing a second set of the Prince Lionheart Stove Guard. We are updating our kitchen appliances; otherwise I wouldn't have the need for a second. It has been subjected to daily use for over a year including two different self-clean cycles (and that unit gets so hot the glass top becomes untouchable). Granted, I was very deliberate about affixing the clips and gave them plenty of time to set, however I used the provided adhesives and the bond is still so strong, the guard will be staying with the old stove in its new home. I frequently remove all three plates for cleaning - the clips never budge. Only minor complaint is it's tough to get the middle plate back in the clip after cleaning...but the bond ever survived my prying wedge opening the clip to get the middle plate back in. It is subtle enough that it's not a temptation for curious little eyes/hands, yet serves its function without compromise. Follow the enclosed instructions for installation and you have yourself a solid toddler-proofing tool.

Get it!!!

Was difficult at first trying to understand how to put this thing together. Fell off one time. Bought some 3M sided tape and had no problem. Doesn’t stick out that much but that’s the whole point. Does it look tacky? Not at all. Looks expensive and durable. Easy to clean with a wipe. Would I buy again? Most definitely!

How to live worry free😂😂

I absolutely swear by this. Would definitely recommend it to a friend if not buy one for them. This is how to live worry free and know that your loved ones are safe!(we the exception of them hanging on it) I purchased all the items in this picture from amazon so its as easy as 1,2,3. I have the safety knobs, oven lock and stove guard. All provided by different companies but contribute evenly to the over all safety of my 2 yr old toddler. All are pictured! Hope this helps!

Helps to keep toddler’s curious hands away from the stove

So far, it has been quite durable and sturdy. My toddler is no longer able to reach the stove, thanks to this product. I suppose I will have to change the sticky tape once in a while in future, since all the cooking residue and splatter falls on this guard’s surface.

Love it! Strong and stays on my stove despite my wife cooking on it 3 meals a day and baking regularly! I read the review and got scared that this would fall off... SO, as we all know, adhesives rely on clean -- very very clean -- surfaces to work... 1) I cleaned the stove and the new item w alcohol very thoroughly. 2) Then I applied the adhesive labels to the stove, and made 100% sure they were firmly pressed into the stove to make 100% (as close to it at least as I thought I could get) contact. 3) Removed the back label from each adhesive label 4) put the holding clips onto the adhesive and again made sure by pressing firmly all over it, that it made good contact. 5) I let it sit for 8 hours before using the stove Havent had a problem since -- even with a hot stove and our 2yr old pulling hard on it. HIGHLY recommended -- nice product -- amazing price.

Does the trick!

I have bought this item 2 times. Once when my little ones where babies (for the back of the stove and front), finally taking off the front when they got older, and buying it again for the front when we had another baby. It's easy to put together and does the trick. Ours fits perfectly and it does the job of protecting little fingers from getting burned while I'm cooking. I recommend this product. Our range sits on an island so there's plenty of room to install this product.

Best product to protect toddler from hot stove.

Despite some of the bad reviews, I bought this because I couldn’t find any other similar products to protect my toddler from touching the hot stove. This stove guard is perfect. It was easy to install and looks like it will be very simple to clean. We even bought another one for my parents house.

YES! This is great. I have had this on my stove for 5 months now and it is going strong! It was super easy to install and to take apart to clean. I was afraid that the adhesive might not stay put for long with the heat from the oven, but I was wrong. This makes me feel so much safer with food on the stove. BONUS: it has helped to stop my dogs from counter surfing! As long as I remember to put whatever it is behind the guard. Very happy with this purchase and a must have for anyone with a toddler.

We love this. My son has tried to reach for the stove, and this has saved his little fingers. Unfortunately, a friends child is dealing with the consequences of not having a product like this, with severe burns on his fingers and palm. He reached up and put his hand on a hot burner after his mom took the pan away. Terrible thing, and I am so glad this product exists to prevent future mishaps (I sent her the link) and prevent other children from the same fate. Ours is working wonderfully. We even have a counter top inset range and were able to get it to work, where other baby proofing options would not.
