I've been looking for this style in stores, but Amazon was the only place I could find it. My last one lasted 5 or 6 years, but eventually the brass gasket where it attaches started leaking, and I bought a the basic one to replace it. When the basic one broke, I was determined to only get the advanced 3-flow option. 1) you must purchase the white one to get the spray nozzle capability. The chromed one only has normal flow and filtered. 2) the spray nozzle feature actually uses less water... I can see the difference in my water bill.

It's well-known that tap water from urban areas are harmful to one's health, thanks to the democratic party allowing their corporate pals the freedom to pollute our waters, and so people with immune system deficiencies should avoid drinking from the tap altogether. But for people who are able to drink tap water, and their only issue is the taste of the water, this product will work wonders for you. Simply unscrew the ring from the end of your sink's spout and screw this in. Let the filter run for about two minutes before taking a drink from it, and now that's one way you can cut costs from your grocery budget because you no longer have to buy bottled water.

I had the previous version and had to have them send me a different set of adaptors to fit my faucet. After a while it would leak around the base. I went ahead and ordered this one and I want to say it is an improved model. It came with a good choice of adaptors including one that worked this time. And it screwed on nicely and not a hint of leaking. For some reason, the "time to replace" light didn't work on the last model or this one. Doesn't really bother me because I replace this filter and my refrigerator filter at the same time.

Very easy to install - far less complicated than than the Pur filter we had previously. Because it screws directly onto the faucet, the mount is also sturdier than the Pur. It's a more compact design and provides the option for the unfiltered water to be a spray in addition to a smooth flow. Water tastes great - removes the slightly "off" taste that our public water contains. If it lasts for the expected lifespan, we'll be purchasing this again.

This is my third unit over the last decade. The first was purchased right here on Amazon and worked flawlessly for years. An attempt to remove hard water scale after the years and many filters of use resulted in catastrophic failure but, I got my money's worth. The second was bought at a local grocery. For whatever reason they shortened the adapter threads ridiculously and I ran into the same issue other reviewers have brought up; faulty adapters. It went back to the grocery store. This third unit came with nice, lengthy plastic adapters that threaded into the faucet smooth and easy. It even gets moved to different faucets from time to time. It's been performing flawlessly for months.

I loved the original filter system I had. It filters more for the money than any other I have tried. That said, I bought this one "used in very good condition" and it came to me as follows. The base could not be attached because the strainer washer that seals the base to the faucet was missing. I used the washer from my old unit, and the water trickled out the outlet because the filter was completely plugged up. I bought a new filter and found that the replace filter function, did not. No red, orange, or green, so I called Amazon. They agreed to send a call tag for UPS to pick up the package because I have no printer to print a return label. They also agreed to a refund as soon as they got the filter back. Amazon has been amazing so far, to me, as far as returns and refunds are concerned. If this one turns out well, my experience with Amazon customer service is exemplary.

i use this faucet for my home. I Purchased it because before I used to have a Britta water which are in my fridge and it took up space. Since purchasing this filter for my Fossett I’m satisfied. It doesn’t take much space although I would recommend that it be installed on a faucet that is a high faucet on your sink versus a low Fossett. I like that you can turn the filter so that it’s not in the way when washing dishes. The taste is good and I’m happy that my children can drink filtered clean water especially my baby since he does formula at times. No longer do I have to buy bottled water

First bought this filtration system at a big box store for more money about 16 months ago. Came to Amazon to replace it because we liked the concept but it started leaking around where it’s attached to the faucet. It’s been re-designed since we first purchased it and the small changes are noticeable: To change between filtered water and the straight faucet is now a slide instead of a rotating switch. The switch was always difficult to rotate because it was under the faucet and the metal got in the way. A back-and-forth slide is easier to reach and puts less pressure on the entire system because you’re not fidgeting to access the switch. Also, the slide has 3 options now - normal faucet stream, filtered water AND a spray, like the hand held side sprayer many sinks have. The convenience of having all three in one is great! And now the indicator for whether the filter is still usable has been switched from a green/red circle that moves as the filter gets more used to a flashing LED light, only when you’re using the filter. It’s less confusing to know if it’s time to replace your filter. We bought this originally because we had a small fridge and it was easier to have filtered water on tap as opposed to filling up a filter pitcher every day. That hasn’t changed but the improvements make using this multiple times daily even easier!

I installed this filter several months ago, and so far like it much better than the older style Brita I had on the faucet. It is holding up well, and the new tab that slides from shower to straight pour (both unfiltered) to the smaller filtered stream is super easy to use and seems less likely to freeze up like the old one did. That said, I live where there is so much calcium in the water that anything: showers, faucets, hoses, you name it, that carries water from point to point will eventually freeze up. This filter is an excellent value, and is saving a ton of money on bottled water and eliminating the plastic waste almost entirely. (It will eventually have to be disposed of)

I've been using a Brita On Tap Filter for the last many years. It worked, albeit it was a bit quirky. The old one used plastic threads. When I first installed the old one, it would fall off regularly until it started staying for whatever reason. After that, it worked for years without problems but recently, over the past few months, it started leaking. It leaked only a little at first but progressively worsened. I used up the current filter and then finally bought a new one via Amazon. As usual, with Prime, shipment is super quick and received it a few days ago. The best thing about the new system is that they replaced the plastic threads with metal threads. This time, there was no struggling and one attempt was all it took to install and secure the system. So far, it hasn't fallen or moved since installation, and no leaking yet. Even more helpful was that the grip to screw the fastener to the faucet is a little bit larger that makes it easier to secure the system. The main purpose of this review was to share the good news that there are now metal threads. We'll see how it lasts with regular use but I anticipate that I will be looking forward to many more years of great Brita water! Update Jan. 2015: Over a year later and the filter system is still working well with no leaks so far. The metal threads are doing a great job.
