Bought it for use with fountain pens. This paper can handle fountain pen ink with absolutely not problem. 500 sheets at this price is better, in my opinion, than spending money on fancy paper like Rhodia, Clairefontaine, or even Tomoe River paper. Need it to be lined? Well, get a loose-leaf template online and print as many copies as you want - it's still printing paper after all. For printing, though, I don't like this paper. I have a very cheap printer I just reviewed negatively, and it seems this paper is too good of quality to work well in that printer. Go figure! This paper does have some texture to it. I heard that the 28lb is discontinued and that the 32lb has a certain glossy coat to it. I might try getting that too, but based on what other fountain pen users say, it's a bit of overkill when the 24lb paper does the trick and at a much lower price point (and with quicker drying time I think). Either way, if you're into fountain pens, this is the way to go. I got a bunch of very wet writers, and there's no feathering, ghosting, or bleeding on this paper. You can get your double-broad, juicy Montblanc and write down one page, and then flip it over and it looks like you got a fresh sheet of paper (unless you hold it to the light, of course, then you can see a faint shadow of the writing on the other side). GET IT.

I use this solely for fountain pens. It is fantastic for practicing your penmanship and great for letter writing. No bleed through and the inks show their shading, sheen, and full colors! The best part is the bang for buck - for 500 sheets - You'll be paying a lot more for high quality French or Japanese paper.

I was worried to purchase at first after reading many reviews that mentioned poor packaging and damaged products. However, mine arrived timely and in perfect shape. This paper is WAY brighter and whiter than regular copy paper that you'd find around your home. I ordered it special to create long-lasting A5 inserts for my filofax and it looks wonderful. It's not as thick as card stock so you can easily turn pages, but it also doesn't bend and wrinkle as easily as other paper. Runs smoothly through a printer and absolutely no bleeding with any kind of pen I've used (even broad tipped Pilot G2). I love this paper so much that I hid it so my family doesn't waste it on printing just anything.

I bought this paper for my Happy Planner. It came very highly recommended, along with another brand and weight. I found that it feels more sleek than the HP pages but it does feel similar in weight. Overall, I'm happy with the quality and the comparison to the original HP paper. Now I can print and make my own custom pages, which I've already done! It prints beautifully. I have not tested stamps yet, but I haven't had any issues with pens on the paper. I have not used pencils but I don't expect any issue. Mine did arrive open like other buyers described. There was no damage to the paper itself as far as I could tell, so I shrugged it off. I do not want to lower a star for this because I figure that's an issue with the seller as opposed to the paper quality itself.

Treat your printer to non-crappy paper like this stuff. Also it's 98 Brightness, not 97 see pic

I achieve about the same results with most papers I use, but this paper worked great when I printed out some flyers for this year's pet fest. With this paper I can visible see and feel the difference. This paper is very bright and smooth - super smooth on both sides. Text pops and looks great. My photos look fantastic, but did require a bit of tweaking to get the color corrected. My first few prints had light black bars on them - sort of like dobby stripes. I was worried the paper was a little too thick. A small amount of ink dust was transferred from the rollers due to this paper being a tad thicker than what I normally use. It cleared up after roughly 10 prints. I guess I need to clean the rollers more often then I normally do which is never. I also like that the ink adheres to this paper very well. I've had some paper where the ink flakes when folded a little or the ink completely comes off when folded to insert into an envelope. I always do this test with new paper just to see how well it preforms. This paper, as it turns out, did not flake at all. I also do a water test. I just place a few drops of water on a print out to see what happens. As far as I can tell, this paper dried with no water spots or stains. I use a HP Color Inkjet so the ink did not run as well. All in all, great paper that can be used for a variety of projects. From my experience this paper is choice!

I. Love. This. Paper! Sure, that sounds stupid, but for real, this paper is awesome. It’s exceptionally smooth and thick (not as thick as card stock but not as thin as regular printer paper). I’ve been learning and practicing calligraphy with a dip pen and this paper never gives me issues. Ink never bleeds through, my nibs never catch, and colors always come out looking beautifully pigmented. It even prints well. My kids have printed out reports that looked amazing in quality. Teachers have even commented on how “professional” they looked and felt with the thicker paper.

Love it for printing brochures. Great quality & very bright. Excellent for laser & inkjet printers.

I am definitly enjoying this paper as a stationary. There is no feathering, nor bleeding through the paper what so ever. Writing on it feels very smooth to me with no catching on the nibs of different sizes.

I've always been a Hammermill man. My father, his father, and his father before him all used Hammermill paper. I guess you could say it's in our blood. There's something special about a fresh ream of Hammermill Laser Print, 28lb, 8.5 x 11, 98 Bright, 500 Sheets/1 Ream (125534). The whiteness, the thickness, and of course, that sheen. But, upon looking to reorder my favorite paper, I found it was no longer prime eligible. Gasp. So, I decided to venture out on a limb here - they always said I was the maverick of the family. This HP paper is solid. It's just as high quality as my beloved Hammermill, and will surely stick out in a stack of ordinary papers. While not as thick as Hammermill 28lb, it's just as smooth and a little more blue-ish. The grain of the paper is slightly more visible. All in all, it's a solid paper.
