I worked in detail for many years and have used everything possible. This Absorber bears everything hands down. I still have a red one that I had purchased about 16 years ago. Not a tear, not a hole, no mold smell, nothing. I don't know how they do it. I still use that same one today. Can't tell you enough how great this thing is for drying off cars. Amazing!

I cut this up and use it to clean off my rubber and photopolymer stamps. The size is great to get several cleaning cloths and they can be used over and over before they wear out. This is a great value.

I bought this to use as a stamp cleaner and it does an excellent job. Plus it's a huge size for something small like stamp cleaning, so it will last me a very long time. I'm really glad I did my research and bought this instead of the ones marketed to crafters at a much higher price point for much less product.

Soaks up just about everything you throw it at! I've been using natural chamois cloths for years to dry off my cars, due to their high absorbency. But they are expensive, not easy to work with, and don't last very long. I bought this synthetic chamois cloth based on its high rating, and now here I am leaving a five-star review myself. When used properly, this product works better than natural chamois. It's noticeably more absorbent and easier to work with. But I stress, it needs to be used properly, like a natural chamois. 1. When you first take it out of the tube, drench it with water, then wring it out. 2. If your car is freshly waxed and water is beading on it, before you dry your car with the Absorber, use your hand/arm like a squeegee to quickly swipe excess water off the topsides of your car. 3. Move the Absorber along in relatively slow motion, allowing the water to soak into it. Wipe half of one topside surface, such as the roof or hood. Wring out the Absorber, then re-wipe the area to soak up the residual moisture. Repeat those two steps for the rest of your car. If you're getting streaks, wipe a little slower. (A chamois is not designed to be used quickly like a rag or dish towel.) 4. Don't wet the absorber and put it back in the tube no matter what the directions say. Hang it over something, such as a towel rack, and let it dry. When you need to use it again, just drench it with water until it softens, wring it out, and you're good to go.

It is perfect to dry cars without leaving any streak on the body. Perfect for my dark blue car. It says that you can put it damp in the storage that comes with it but it really smelled bad so I simply fold it and let it dry. It dries very fast and simply turns into a solid rock when it is completely dry. Simply wet it before use and you are ready to dry out basically any surface :)

This absorbs very well....but will not absorb till surface is dry. I was under the impression that the surface would have 0 water on it after wiping with this towel. From my testing, this is good for removing large amounts of water, but will never get it as dry as a microfiber cloth. Most people go around their car with this towel then a microfiber for the rest. I have a black car which means ALL water needs to be removed to avoid water spots. I will not use this on my car, but a nice all purpose drying towel in other applications will work great for!

This really is the synthetic version of a natural deer chamois. I thought it was just going to be one of the cheap orange microfiber cloth chamois, but it't not. It has a thick rubber spongy feel. It absorbs alot of water off the car. I was also impressed that it doesn't get all deformed and stretched out when wringing it out. Works and feels just like the old natural leather chamois, but is more absorbent and seems like it will last a long time. I washed mine in the washing machine and just put it damp back in the tube. Got all of the black dirt streaks off. Looking forward to using it for a long time.

I've been using this brand to dry off cars for the past 20 years. Ive read a lot of negative reviews for this shammy and I have to say that most people leaving a one star review, have no clue what there talking about, dont understand the product, dont know how to use it, and quite honest i dont think they even know what its used for. A couple things to know. 1. Keep the plastic container. You store the wrung out, damp shammy in it. 2. It will dry to a stiff board if you leave it out to dry, just submerge it in a bucket of water or hose down. It will soften. 3. Use mild soap and water to clean, hand wash. Dont toss in the washer if you use bleach. 4. Its made to absorb liquid. Its needs to be wrung out when full. It doesn't store endless amounts of water inside it like magic. 5. Know what your buying before leaving negative reviews. Yes.... a dishwasher is not going to clean your carpets, a vacuum is not going to cut your lawn, no reason to leave 1 star for that.

I bought this two years ago and it has served me really well! Dries one side of my car without wringing it out till the end. I can dry my car super fast now. I even show it off to friends and wash their cars and show them how fast it dries their car and how much better the absorber is than regular store bought chamois. Its very large and is more than enough to dry a large car/truck. Only reason im buying another one is because somehow it got soap in it and i literally can't for the life of me get the soap out of it. As many times as i try to wash it out it produces so much soap its ridiculous. So i need to buy another because of that. But i have washed my car countless times and used this. And when our instant hot leaked all over the inside of our shelf i used the absorber to clean it up and amazed my mom by how much water it soaked out of the cabinet floor and how dry it got. It saved our cabinet from worse damage than if i would have used just towels. AWESOME PRODUCT BUY ONE NOW OR TWO OR THREE. Oh and my chamois looks basically brand new after two years of heavy use.

I absolutely love my absorbers! I have had my first one for at least 20 years now. And it is incredible how long it has held up. Even when I forgot to put it in the tube, and found it as a hard as a rock glob in my trunk a year later.... it wasn't brittle, oddly, any did not break or chip, which surprised the heck out of me considering how hard it was! But putting it under the faucet softened that thing right up in a pinch! I have since purchased three more, and I use them for drying clothing, my hair, and when I get out of the pool i use two on my car seat to keep my car dry on my way home. (I hate having to change clothes in the locker room). Seriously, get several of these, and put one in your gym bag, your laundry room, your bathroom,, your kitchen, and your car washing supplies and your pet washing supplies. And if you ever find it hard as a rock, don't worry...just wet it, and it will be good as new. My only complaint is that I can't choose what color I want. It would be nice to have different colors so that I know which one goes in which room. But so far I have only managed to receive dark blue ones
