I bought this as a help for thinning hair at my crown due to the purported effects of ketanozole on thinning. I think I have less hair fall using it. I use it once every 4 days or so, using my other shampoo (moisturizing keratin preserving type) the rest of the time. It has surprisingly alleviated an annoying itch at my nape that has been of long prior duration which I seem to have inherited from my mother. Neither of us have had a dandruff issue, so I can’t speak to it’s effectiveness for that. (I learned later that mom’s doctor recommended this shampoo for her as well.) This shampoo smells lovely and lathers well. You do not need much of it. I use unscented detergents due to sensitive skin and have no allergic issues with this shampoo. My hair does tend to be a little more frizzy on days that I use it, but leave-in product handles. For reference, I have very fine curly/wavy hair and am age 62.

Immediate results, and so soothing. I have autoimmune issues that make me prone to seborrheic dermatitis. I also work with exotic animals, and occasionally they can develop tinea and other fungal dermatitis and I am exposed. My dermatologist had given me prescription strength ketoconazole shampoo, which I found irritated my skin, damaged my hair and took a while to show any results. I'm not sure how, but this shampoo works way better than any cream, spray or shampoo I've used and also reduces redness and irritation right away. Immediately results after one use, skin was completely cleared up after the second day. A little goes a long way too, so happy to have found this. I only use it for short periods of time when needed to avoid building resistance and so far have not noticed it losing any effectiveness.

Best shampoo for eczema, psoriasis, dandruff, dry scalp, etc. Back in 2013, I started having scalp issues with thick plates of dry skin was throughout my scalp. Before this shampoo, I’d have to wash it every other day. When I found out about this shampoo, it was on the black market because the FDA had stopped it from being sold over the counter (it was so effective, FDA believed it was too strong to be OTC). About 6 months later, it became available again and I ordered a few online. Worked in less than 2 weeks. I still use it along with my fave shampoos. I swear by it! Everyone I’ve recommended it to, says it works just as well!

I have what I have self diagnosed as ACUTELY CHRONIC DANDRUFF coupled with itching and scabs (my scalp was literally peeling/shedding). I would wash my hair with what I thought were my goodie shampoos and 2 days later, i'm back to square one. It also affected my hair growth, more so around the edges, I mean, when your scalp is peeling, that's bound to happen. Then I started using Nizoral, i've used it only twice now, about 5days apart and here I am, over a week later, no flake, no dandruff in sight. Had to ask my mum to examine my scalp today just in case my eyes were playing tricks on me and she confirmed it. FYI, I'm Black when 4b/4c hair. If you're having doubts about this, just try it, i'm sure you'll be back here to share the testimony as well.

So I had these skin colored little bumps on my forehead and they would NOT go away. I tried many cleansers and I drank sooo much water but still nothing would change. I found out online about nizoral and how it helped many people so I decided to give it a try, After applying Nizoral to my forehead for 10 mins a day. In 1 week I seen AMAZING results. The little bumps were COMPLETLY GONE and I am soooo happy I tried this product.

The reason this dandruff shampoo works, is because it kills yeasts/ fungus. Many don't realize, but we all have fungus/yeasts/ bacterias on our skin. (good and bad) Certain ones can cause itchiness and dry skin on both the scalp and face (body too) if you have flaky skin no matter how much lotion you put, or dandruff no matter how much anti-dandruff shampoo you have, this will work if you use it right and do not reinfect yourself with brushes you previously used, hats, pillow cases, etc. I cured myself of a MILD dandruff i caught from my bf,( i never had it in my life and started getting severe itching and flaking) He was misdiagnosed with psoriasis, and had it for 20 years or so. Red splotches, that wouldn't go away, severe scaling and patches on body, severe scaling dandruff and in and behind ears. He always called it psoriasis as he was told by a doctor, but i KNEW it was FUNGUS as i once had itchy flaky skin on face and a dermatologist told me about this fungus that people have on skin that can cause flaky skin or itching (that can sometimes go away or get better in the sun). I CURED HIM after having this severe condition for over 20 years in less than a week. He was living with what he thought was psoriasis for all this time and suffering. I bleached my brushes, i cleaned towels every time with bleach after the first few treatments. It will cure if you do it the right way. GOOD LUCK I really hope this helps you and helps those misdiagnosed. You can use it on your face and body also. Staying away from the eyes.

Ok, full transparency, I think I've been suffering from Seborrheic Dermatitis for years and just never knew it. Initially, when I started getting dandruff when I was a teenager, I just thought it was due to a dry scalp or product build-up that never washed out. Not the worst thing in the world, but still irritating. Getting older, however, it got much worse. Itching, redness, scaling all around my hair line (front and back), it was awful. Pieces of my skin would peel off at my temples and the flakes would be very noticeable. I hated it so much. And sadly, not once did I think to ask a dermatologist about it. So,here we are years later, I still had horrible dandruff, itching, redness, the whole shebang. And then, my mother says one day, "Well, you've always had eczema ever since you were a baby." ... I never knew that. No one had told me that before. But in hindsight, yeah, it made so much sense. I just never considered that the case since I never noticed it anywhere else on my body that wasn't easily explained away. A little dryness here and there was nothing compared to my head. But that knowledge ultimately didn't help the scalp issue. Until, surprisingly enough, a YT ASMR video mentioned eczema/dermatitis and ketoconazale as a topical treatment for the hair. Interesting... Now, this past week, I feel like my scalp has been the worst it had been. Scaling and redness, itching pretty much non-stop, and that was after a shower using Head & Shoulders shampoo. So, I looked around and did some research on ketoconazale. It's a topical treatment for fungal skin infections like athlete's foot, jock itch, and yep, seborrhea (aka dry, flaking skin) and dandruff. Looking up the best rated shampoos with this main ingredient led me to Nizoral. And I am extremely happy to have found it. Again, full transparency, I've only used this shampoo today (day of writing this) and already I see an improvement. MAJOR improvement. I bought the 4 oz bottle, as I didn't want to commit to a larger one before trying it out, and a Scalpmaster Shampoo Brush (THIS IS KEY!!!). So, as soon as I had the bottle in my hands, I'm running for the shower. I used only Nizoral as my shampoo with Aussie Conditioner at the end. I used the brush to really scrub at the scaling and flakes all the way around my head, and it felt amazing. I've tried before with my nails to get the scales off, but this brush is 1000X better at it. I "lather, rinse, repeat" using the brush both times and I could really feel a difference in how my scalp felt. Sure, Head & Shoulders might have a better scent (I think this Nizoral shampoo is practically unscented or at least extremely mildly scented, not really noticeable), but this along with the brush helped my head and hair feel really clean. It lathered nicely, especially the second time, didn't make my hair feel too squeaky and stripped like some products do, and I don't notice any film or residue either now that my hair is mostly air-dried. After, when inspecting my head and feeling along the hairline, I can see the proof. No flakes!!! At little redness, but that was expected, but no huge scales or flakes stuck to my scalp, no patches to be felt behind my ears or at the nape of my neck, NOTHING!!! I... I am so happy to find this shampoo. If this happens every time I use it, I might be a customer for life. I'll add an edit in about 2 weeks to see if the product really held up or not. *** Edit: Okay, it's been 48 hours and I'm still very impressed. The itching across my scalp was cut down at least 80% or more. Very rarely did I feel an itch or try to scratch. Looking around my hairline again, I see a few tiny flakes, but that was mostly around the skin near my temples, my admittedly worst place for the scaling and irritation.Checking around the back of my neck and behind my ears saw massive improvement, I can't feel any patches or bumps at all around my hairline. My hair feels soft without any remaining residue to change its texture. It is a bit frizzy though, but that's mostly my own fault for not straightening it like I would normally, so I count that as non-related to the product. Overall, for a first time application and test, I'm very satisfied with my purchase. I knew it wouldn't be an overnight cure-all for my problem, but the improvement I've seen in 48 hours over the past week is amazing! I'll add another update after a few more days.

I got this by by mom's recommendation (she's a dermatologist), when I had some dandruff, and it worked well. A very small drop is enough to wash your whole scalp. The scent is nice, a bit minty, and it keeps my hair clean for at least two days without ising anything extra, like dry shampoo, etc. (I usually wash my hair every day, or use dry shampoo the next day). I went through it in about a month and a half, considering that I used it once in every two days.

This was recommended to me for my fungal acne (yeah, it's a horrible and gross thing) I could NOT get rid of it with regular acne treatments, and this actually cleared it up! If you live somewhere hot and humid and keep getting bumps that never go away across your face and body, USE THIS! Lather it up and let it sit on your skin for about two minutes and within a few days you will see a huge difference! Also, great for dandruff lol

Nothing else clears things up faster than Nizoral. When you have a flake emergency, more often than not, it's a yeast overgrowth, so you have to make your head inhospitable for those suckers, by removing dead skin and oil, and killing the fungus. Ketoconazole is what you use when you don't have time to screw around with Head & Shoulders, and in fact, in dire emergencies, your doctor or dermatologist can prescribe Nizoral in 2% prescription strength. But 1% helps for daily or weekly use---as long as you've got things mostly under control. I've found that it's best to apply it before you get in the shower. Let it sit on your scalp for 10 minutes before you hop in the shower, otherwise, you're just washing it down the drain before it can do anything. I've used Head & Shoulders, Head & Shoulders Clinical, Neutrogena T-Gel, and Neutrogena T-Sal, but I keep coming back to Nizoral for reliable results.
