We needed a new clipper/trimmer and had no idea what kind to buy. I've bought some in the past and they just seem to be another "shaving razor" and not adequate for trimming facial and body hair. So we came on Amazon and read all the reviews. The Peanut seemed to have a good rating with almost all the reviews I read. I now can see why. It's is portable, light weight but very powerful. It does an expert job in trimming side burns, mustaches, body hair. We love it... I'm so glad we chose this razor it does everything you want a trimmer/clipper to do. I'd highly recommend it. If your confused by all the trimmer/clippers out there for body hair stop looking and give this a try you won't be disappointed.

I am not a professional hairdresser, but I do have a son, and as anyone with boys would know, they need a haircut at least once a month or they start looking messy. This could get expensive, so i decided to "learn" how to cut his hair; after all, he's a little 4 year old boy and if i mess up a few times learning, no one will really notice since he's not at that age yet. Thankfully, we live in an age of youtube, and i looked a few videos up and wa-lah! on the first try, his hair actually looked better than some of the budget haircut places i have taken him in the past. The part that got me is fading in between a 1 & 2 (not a very smooth transition). Apparently there is a trick for this I will have to look up next time and learn. Anyway, for my first time, this peanut made it super easy. I know I will get better and better each time. The item is heavy for its size, making it feel sturdy and very durable. The cord is long enough, wish it was just a little longer. All the clips were easy to attach and didnt feel loose at all. IT is a bit hard to brush the hair off with such a tiny comb, but its duable. In case you're wondering, these are the videos i used for reference: [...] & [...] (start at 3:15). I used the first video for the majority of the haircut and the last video to cut the top of the hair. I cut my son's hair into a light fohawk (doesnt come down past the crown). This is probably going to be one of my greatest investments, I bet!

Best beard trimmer ive owned, and ive owned many rechargeable beard trimmers over the years. Blades are nice and sharp for clean lines and neck shaving, never have to worry about battery life or anything. Last trimmer ill ever have to buy. Gone are the days of messing with cordless trimmers.

These work perfectly for cutting my own Pixie at home. Here's how I do it. Lift up the whole crown area, securing it in a rubber band to get it out of the way. Use the largest Peanut cutting comb in downward strokes for a scruffier looking nape. (Or cut upwards for a close-shave look.) Take out your crown's rubber band. Cut crown area about 4" long with a scissor holding the hair straight up like it's got static electricity. I did this perfectly the first time I used the Peanut. Four weeks later, feeling invincible, I grabbed the shaver, plugged it in, and FORGOT TO PUT THE COMB TIP ON. Yep. I cut a massive bald spot clear down the back of my head. Whoo Hoo! I'd never laughed so hard in my life. Please don't sue me if this happens to you.

I am a victim of too much testosterone being administered into my system while in utero, thus I suffer from male pattern baldness. I have grown tired of shaving my head. I takes a long time, and I am tired of buying razor cartridges. This trimmer is great for people like me who want what hair you have left as short as possible, without resorting to shaving. It provides a length that is about a days growth, if you were to have actually shaved with a razor. On average, I use it twice a week to ensure that I do not look fifteen years older than I am, (currently 30). If you are looking for a trimmer to do this very thing, I would recommend this trimmer 100%. Eventually, when the blades dull, I will be able to easily and quickly switch them out, unlike many other trimmers. Do yourself a favor and purchase this trimmer.

I bought this in September 2012. It's now January 2018 and it works just as it was when I first bought it. Fantastic product.

I have been shaving my head for over 10 years. I have used most every blade, cream, gel or electric razor on the market. The closest shave for me has been a Mach 3 with a shaving gel. However, shaving my head every day with a blade takes a lot of time and alot of Mach 3 razors---Additionally, I am prone to ingrown hairs on the back of my head. Because of these reasons, I thought I would try the peanut. WOW!!!!! What a great product. It does not shave as close as a blade but it is darn close and it shaves much closer than any other clipper out there. (now that I have lots of gray hair, the very close cut looks like a shave) Using the Peanut has solved my ingrown hair issue completely. This little bugger is very well made and has plenty of power. Also, I have NEVER cut myself with it. The best shave will always be a blade but the Peanut gets the job done in a third of the time, with no cuts or ingrown hairs. It's a winner. UPDATE Aug 2009......the Peanut continues to amaze. It cuts just as good as the day I bought it in 2007. No pulled hairs, the white blade guards still snap on firmly and I am still on the original blade! A drop of mineral oil every now and then is the only maintenance I've done. Finally a quality product that works and lasts. Bravo Wahl Bravo!!!! UPDATE FEB 2013...this sucker is STILL going strong. UPDATE Sept 2013...just took the blades apart, cleaned and mineral oiled them. Put it all back together and it works wonderfully! UPDATE August 2014...well, I finally broke down and bought a new blade set for my Wahl Peanut. The old blade set popped off easily using the edge of a nail file under the base. New blade set snapped right on. I let my head and face grow out for three days, and just got done using the new rebladed Peanut. As expected it just cut/clipped wonderfully. The main unit has as much power as ever. The clipper leaves a "one days" growth on my head and face and now, my head and face hair is all the same length, and looks and feels great. This is by far the best shaving/grooming product I've ever bought. And no, I do not have any affiliation with Wahl.

My husband has been cutting hair for years and he absolutely loves these trimmers! It's a great buy for the buck and fits both his giant hands and are very comfortable for my small hands (when he needs assistance with the back of his head.) They don't bite and haven't overheated like some of his previous ones, they're the only trimmers my 5 yr old allows on his head lol. These are EXCELLENT according to my husband, and it's been almost a year of having them without any problems.

I bought this because they have it at the salon where I get my hair done. I cut my husbands hair and used a battery operated small clipper. I really like this for trimming up the hair on his neck! I took it when I visited my 84 year old parents and cut my dad's hair using some of the attachments and he is handsome and really happy with his 'new do'.

This is by far one of the best devices I have used in the past many years. It is extremely light compared to devices of equal power and it is amazing if you have medium to coarse hair as it has no problem what so ever trimming that at all. It is always consistent, however the blade can get a bit hot after extended use but just let it cool down for 30 seconds and you're good. It is perfect for a quick line up of your beard and works very well on the neck area as it does not cut your skin very easily even if you put the blade directly on your skin (i don't recommend doing this as it can possible hurt you). Overall it was well worth the price as I have spent much more on other devices with far lower performance.
