Wow! I am IMPRESSED! I did lots of research on electric fondue sets before deciding to purchase this one. I love this thing! It heats up super quick, the temperature adjusts to the setting you want just as quickly. Easy cleanup. I have put it in the dishwasher several times with no issues. I have recently purchased a 2nd one.

Works great for us!

Husband wanted a fondue set for Christmas and I said we wouldn't use it- everyone says that. BUT, we do and a lot- we love it! This one is easy to use and a crowd pleaser, even for the kiddos. Not the easiest to clean, but that's really just with the cheese recipes (which of course, are a pain to clean out in any pot). Temperature control is perfect for the kids and the colored skewers make it easy to keep yours from not getting lost with the others. I did get a recipe book too, which I think is helpful to incentivize us to use it!

Great design!

My daughter and I each bought one so we can lend them to one another for parties. One design feature I love is that the electric cord is designed similarly to my power cord on my Apple laptop. It is magnetic, so if someone catches the cord, it just detaches rather than pulling hot oil or cheese on someone. That was my one reserve about buying a corded pot...but they solved that issue. The pots work beautifully, is well made and has a very pretty design.

I bought this so that we could start a new Christmas tradition with my family, and it was a success! This is perfect for broth fondues since you have the ability to turn the temperature way up. We've also made a cheese fondue and it was perfect! I also like that the cord is held together by a magnet so if anyone happens to trip on the cord, only the cord will detach instead of the pot (with boiling broth) falling with it. My in-laws wanted to know where I bought this because it was so good!

Great Fondue Pot!

After a friend had a fondue dinner party on New Year's Eve, I just had to have one! One of the fondue pots she had was the Cuisinart and it seemed to work better than the others. So the next day I searched Amazon and after reading the reviews I ordered. Since receiving we have used this once or twice a week and love it! Works wonderfully and so easy to clean. Might have to buy another one!

Great product for the price.

I think this is a great product for the price. We only have fondue night one or twice a year and this seems to fit our needs well. We have young children so I try to avoid open flames, which is why I chose this pot. I prepared the cheese and the chocolate courses in the pot and then unplugged and transferred it to the dining table. I was worried that the fondue would cool quickly without the heat, but it maintained enough heat to keep the food warm during the meal. It is a little difficult to clean well with the electronic end, but that's to be expected.

Beautifully designed; works like a charm

First used for 4 adults and 2 children, it was a joy. It's easy to prepare for its first use, and then – with a heavy-duty extension cord, worked perfectly in the center of our table. Heats quickly, maintains the temperature, and cleans easily. We will use it often for the two of us for other than cheese fondue. It's too useful to let it sit and wait for company. And the price is excellent!

Several reviews say the cheese and chocolate burn easily. This would be a possibility in any direct-heat fondue pot. This one is a good size, however, to turn into a double boiler. We typically have a 3-course (cheese, broth, chocolate) fondue meal with this one pot: Fill the fondue pot with water up to just below the handle screws. Toss a bowl inside (we use these to great success: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000050AV3/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and put the cheese in that. This makes a double boiler for your cheese. We typically crank the heat up to a 4 and that keeps it at a nice temperature for the cheese to remain a perfect consistency. After that, lift out the bowl and dump the water. Fill it up with your broth or oil and toss the poker-holder lid on. Repeat the cheese trick for the chocolate. 3 course meal, one fondue pot, no washing out the pot between courses. We do have an issue with the length of the plug. We use an extension cord even though they say not to. That cord is way to short not to. I imagine the manufacturer was doing his best evil-genius-laugh when he put that on the label. We've tested this thing in the dishwasher, and it seems to be ok so far.

Love this fondue pot

Let me say that this is my first electric fondue pot. I almost didn't purchase it because of some of the negative reviews. This pot is an awesome at-home fondue pot! It works exactly as described. The temperature control is terrific to have and no matter how high it gets set, nothing ever burns. We have done meat, "melting-pot" cheese and chocolate. All of it was fantastic! It cooks evenly and the pot is non- stick. It looks exactly like the picture on this site. One of the consumer reviews posted here was about the clean up required. This almost prevented me from purchasing this item. However, its non-stick. It is no more difficult to clean than any other non-stick pans you already have. In fact, I found it very easy to clean with a sponge and soft bristle scrub brush. I would recommend cleaning the pot as soon as you're completely done using it, as it will be easier to clean. If you let leftover cheese or chocolate sit there until the next day, no it won't be fun to clean just as your other dishes aren't. I think the pot is fantastic. I think I got it for an exceptional price and was not disappointed with one single thing. It takes up no more space in your cabinet than another pan, clean up was a breeze & we use this think at least once a week! My only advice: First time users: DO NOT make the "Classic Cheese Fondue" recipe in the recipe book! Its made with german cheeses, brandy & dry white wine and we found it utterly disgusting! Better to find your own recipes online than use the weird ones listed in the book. The chesses are super expensive and bitter tasting so our very first experience was disappointing. Give yourself a fantastic first experience with this pot by using the "Melting Pot Cheese Fondue" recipe online.

The best product I have ever used for fonduing meats and vegetables. It kept a constant heat and didn't create the mess I am used to when fonduing. I now have three for our family celebrations when we fondue.
