Fish did not die
How do you rate a fish feeder cube like this? Not like I am going to lick the thing and see if I like it. I decided to simply see if I had cloudy water or dead fish after I got home from a trip ... Water was still clean and there were no fish missing. To me that is 5 stars and I will use it again.

Does the job, the fish loved it
I was a bit worried about this purchase with reviews mentioning cloudy water and the fish not eating the embedded food. Fortunately neither of these things happened. Since each pyramid can feed 5 fish for 3 days, I sawed off half of the pyramid and dropped it in my tank with 2 goldfish. The (half)block dissolved over 3 days and both the fish survived the weekend! The water was slightly cloudy, but nothing unmanageable. Maybe the filtration system helped. Fish seem to love gnawing on the white chalky substance and it didn't seem to have had any ill-effects on them. I would buy them again for feeding my fish over a weekend when we are out of town and can't feed them.

The work as they are supposed to. I haven't ...
The work as they are supposed to. I haven't lost a single fish yet with API feeders, including the larger pyramids. I have four tanks and I trust my fish to these every time and they work without fail.

Used these for about a month, fish were happy
We initially bought these for a short vacation, and tried them out a week ahead of time, just in the case that they didn't work and we had to make other arrangements. We didn't have any problems with our Glo-Fish liking these (we have the tetras and danios). We even used a few the following weeks afterwards, and they didn't make the water cloudy or raise any levels of concern on our part. Fish nibbled on them when they were hungry and no food gets wasted.

This works GREAT!
I was a little nervous because of some of the reviews, but I left the feeder in for five days with five fish, and when I got back the fish were happy, apparently well-fed (because they weren't all at the front begging for food!) and the water was clear. I was a happy camper! I'll be using this product again in two weeks when I'm gone for awhile!

Fish Loved
My fish just loved this auto fish feeder. I purchased a couple of these to "test" it before leaving for vacation. I truly think it kept them alive and well while we were gone. I simply removed the rest of it when we returned. Highly recommend, but please, test it out BEFORE you leave.

It Fed My Fish As Advertised
I used this in my 28 gallon community tank when I was in Alaska for 2 weeks. 5 stars because A: the fish survived, and B: This block was cheap and easy to use. The night before I left for Alaska I dropped this in the tank and put in a new filter cartridge. When I got back, there was a tiny bit left and minor amounts of debris on the tank bottom. I changed the filter cartridge again, removed the excess debris per the instructions, and went back to my life. In case it helps, my tank has a bunch of neon tetras, a bristle nose pleco, and a few otos.

Worked great
Kept all my fish(lots of guppies), algae eater shrimp(1), and snail(1) alive over 16 days! My big female guppy did die a day after I got back..but she had recently had about 12 babies, and 2 more the night she died. Worked well, and I did a small water change after. I would use again.

The fish are still alive, so it works
I've used this to cover being away for a weekend, and the fishies are still alive, so I guess it does its job. I wouldn't trust using this as their food all the time, but the fact that my fish are still swimming tells me at least they didn't die of starvation.

Super convenient for short trips
I've previously purchased these pyramid fish feeders. They are excellent for a short trip for up to 3 days or so. The fish seem to enjoy the food and they have worked as expected. There are also larger feeder blocks available if you'll be away for an extended period of time. This is a good product. 5 stars.
