I swear by API

This doesnt remove the ammonia but neutralizes it so it's not toxic you will still have to make sure the ammonia get removed with water changes if your bio filter doesnt take care of it.

Product worked as it says. Helped control the ammonia levels to give me a little extra time between water changes. It doesn’t remove ammonia and the label makes that clear. It’s only a short-term fix.

This is normally $26 at my lps. This is very important for new aquariums or when you upgrade tanks. It helps turn ammonia into a less harmful form. Also acts like a stress coat for them fishes.

Great protection from ammonia poisoning.

Excellent protection for fish from ammonia poisoning. Even though the ammonia remains until bacterial action breaks it down, it keeps the fish alive.

Fish tank necessity!

Our fish tank gets out of whack every once in awhile due to increases in nitrates/ammonia but this helps resolve the problem quickly! Big bottle too for the price!

Worked Great

Worked great in my 10gallon tank. Make sure to read all the instructions you do have to clean the filter after you treat you tank for these issues. Mine was like black sludge after we were done. It did the trick though, with Gold fish this is an ongoing process so I'm happy to find an effective product. I like that the cap is the measuring cup too, made it easy to treat.

Works great for a temporary ammonia problem.

Works great for locking the ammonia and making it harmless to solve a temporary ammonia problem. Just remember that the locked ammonia is still breaks down into nitrates and nitrites which will become harmful of you have to continue to lock the ammonia without solving the actual problem causing the ammonia issue.
