My aquatic pets have liked these flakes for awhile now and this seems to be the best place to buy it. I will say some will float, some will linger, some will drop to the bottom. Other then that it's a good product and this is the best price I've found.

So far my fish loves them. I do change up his diet but other than that I think these are great!

Not a lot to say about the food. It's standard food that my fish seem to enjoy. The bottle is quite a bit larger than I expected (about the size of a 40oz beer can just a little shorter). I've always used the TetraMin brand fish food, and previously used the disk-shaped pieces that supposedly decrease extra waste in the tank. I decided this was less important to me as I tend to crush the food up a bit more before I put it in the tank so the smaller fish aren't trying to eat pieces half the size of their body.

I have been throwing away half full containers of flakes for years because the bottom half of the container is just dust. This stuff has HUGE flakes that you can crush to the size you need. My larger fish get whole flakes and I crush some for the Guppies.......it's my go to food from now on.

Fish seem to love this product. During this review process I was asked how it tastes. Tried it. Not really sure what the big fuss from the fish is about...

In my tank I have 3 large severums. Feeding them regular (i.e. small) didn't seem appropriate to their size. These work out great and end up with less smaller pieces sinking to the bottom. Oh and my smaller fish have no issue with these either.

I have been keeping fish over 20 years. I fell for the "awesome food" hype. NLS I'm looking at you. But honestly, I didn't have nice colors or all the spawns as I do now that I stopped feeding NLS. Tetra has been awesome in my rotation, now that we have food choices, back in the day, Tetra was the premium food. All of my fish do well on this food as well as frozens a few times a week. It's cheap and it works for me and my 9 tanks- all of which are big tanks with all different kinds of fish. I won't fall for the hype again.

Large flakes is accurate. The flakes are super huge. This is exactly what I needed for my big angel fish. Also the large flakes don't make a big mess because they all get eatten, opposed to tiny specks floating everywhere and going into the filter. Love it. And of course you can always crumble them between your fingures for smaller fish. I rather have large flakes that I can crumble at my own leisure rather than the Aqueon brand that comes looking like someone ran it through a food processor already, just crumbs and powder.

I have these 3 koi purchased small that were supposed to go in the backyard pond. But a raccoon moved in under the deck so they must stay indoors or be eaten. They're pretty big now. One is really rowdy when someone walks by tank he jumps up and splashes, one is very shy and one is just kind of chill. They do seem to respond when someone approaches tank and they think they will be fed with this stuff. The rowdy one sticks his head out of the water and seems to like having the large flakes dropped on his head. They seem to like each other too. They're really beautiful one has gold scales of multi colors some are almost fluorescent - florescent-flour... - really bright. Anyway Ive been feeding them this since they were little and they seem to be really healthy and happy. If fish can experience emotion that is.

My African cichlids love this food, especially the large flakes.
