Much better price than at the big box pet store

Can't complain. Bought this for our tropical fish. Much better price than at the big box pet store. Much more convenient for me also as our pet store is located in an area that ALWAYS has traffic surrounding it. This container is pretty huge (7.06 oz). To put it in perspective, its about 6 inches tall and 3 inches wide!

Feeding frenzy !

Feeding frenzy! I purchased this item quickly to replace my low supply of current fish food and just went by the picture and price. I was pleasantly shocked at the amount I received and quickly double checked my amazon order to see if they sent to much. Nope, there was no mistake. TetraMin from amazon was almost half the price then 6 different big box stores near me. I feed only what the fish can eat within 5 minutes and have never had a filter clogging issue or cloudy water. I'm currently feeding Mollies, Platys, Neons, Swordtails and Dwarf gouramis. I bought the 7oz container which is a lot of fish food. The container is 7in tall by 3 1/2in wide! My fish love these flakes and are very healthy, I Highly recommend TetraMin flakes and will be buying more.

This is a good basic food. Fish like it. The can is good size and lasts with my 6 gallon tank for a long time.

The flakes are large and intact, I can gently crush the flakes to get the right size or leave the flakes big to give the fish some variety. I have a school of ten (10) neon tetras that are over a year old now on this food (not I took about 50 tetras to get 10 that lived this long). All have eaten this food. I have kept fish for many years and this is a pretty good result impo. Does get sucked into the filter and clogs the filter. I suggest feeding multiple times per day in small feedings.

Great Deal for Great Fish Food

I was in a bind and needed fish food fast, but running daycare means I don't get out much. So, I decided to check Amazon to see if there were any with Prime shipping, for a good price, with good reviews. I found this TetraMin Tropical Flakes item that met all of my needs. It came quickly, my fish are still alive (4 year old tetras), and I was happily surprised at how large this container is. I guess I didnt pay attention to the size when I ordered, or figured my last bottle (that I paid more for) was the same. Overall a great deal, for great fish food.

Good food at a great price.

As an avid aquarium enthusiast I use a lot of fish food. For those that own fish you know how expensive it can be. The TetraMin brand is a great food that doesn't cloud the water and is readily taken by many species. It keeps the fish healthy and colorful. These flakes generally come in good shape and not all crushed down to powder like some other brands tend to. The container size lasts for a decent amount of time, depending of course on the number of tanks you have, and the amazon price is great for this size. I regularly purchase this and am very happy with the product.

Great value but certain fish may not like it

My fish do not seem to be a fan of this except for my kuhli loach. (My gouramis, danios, and mollies hate it, but the mollie fry surprisingly do not) for the price can't argue and your fish probably might like it. But 3 days of just nothing but flakes at the bottom and only the kuhli loach having a field day, it going to have to be back to our old stuff :/ still 5 stars for the price/value, I just have picky fish

THE ONLY FOOD I BUY AND BRAND I BUY FROM!

The food itself is worth the price, especially the nutritional benefits, my fish seem to only eat this product, but my past fish love it. It’s super fresh, and the tight seal on the lid makes its longevity stretch. The food is very nutritious and fish food isn’t just fish food. Do your homework. The company and brand of Tetra has been my go to for products for years. I actually only buy their food and fish tank kits. I always buy 2 when I’m low. I could review this product all day but the most important thing to know is, open carefully as they give you more than your money’s worth with the food. Meaning it’s overfilled for the better! a little goes a long long way. Their food is designed to float but then sink for top, middle and bottom dwelling fish. I have a bottom to medium dweller ( Scarlet Badis or Dario Dario ) and my red tiger koi Betta. I never feed my Betta anything else only tetra flakes, especially for his color and health. Ever since feeding this product, my betas colors have actually enhance far more than expected. The waste is extremely minimal to nothing. The water doesn’t get greasy or “polluted” if you feed light to accidentally over feeding. Which we all have done.. Negative reviews confuse me as I myself have never had a negative experience with the tetra brand nor their food/products. I guess to give some grey area for the food or “product” would be the smell, which is a little nasty and pungent. However that’s fish food for you! I recommend this product for picky eaters as well as the ingredients hit all fish needs. 10/10 for tetramin!

Dependable Brand That Fish Love.

Simply put, TeraMin is a dependable, affordable fish food brand that is guarateed to fill your fish and keep them healthy. I've had aquariums (both salt and fresh) for 13 years and I always use this brand for my fresh water fish. Flakes sizes range from 1" to .25", which you can either brake off on your hand or simply drop on the aquarium, either way, your fish will eat it. Of course, please keep in mind tha flake foods are normally eaten by low-mid, mid and high swimmers such as rainbow sharks, tiger barbs and angels, but if you have bottom feeders, you may consider buying siking pellets, such as New Life Spectrum Thera A Formula Non-medicated Anti-Parasitic - 150 g which is great for both fresh and salt aquarium fish. *****Note about the container****** As another reviewer stated, this product does not include the lid pictured above, it has a standard lid, at least for now. Amazon has stopped selling it for that reason only and is trying to update the product's info. The FLAKES ARE GOOD, I know, 'cause I just bought a bottle (with the wrong lid) and my fish are ok.

Fish love it!

My fish love it! It doesn’t murk up the water - but they’re fat so I don’t actually know if they miss any to possibly murk up the water. It smells horrible but they love it. I feed as directed on the container and my fish are thriving. I have an angel fish and a molly.
