my koi say give me more, they love it. I been feeding this for 3+ years, since they were 3 inches long, Tried other sticks, but just not up to par for them. Now their 12 to 20" long and loving this food. I feed all year long, 16# last me 3 months. I find that it brings out the orange and red colors, and hadn't effected the white koi at all. It stays very fresh in it's packaging, and the price varies at times, but still the best buy. They will come eat out of your hand for these sticks.

I have used this product for several years now, and have used other brands as well. For all my pets and animals I follow a '3 food rule' - giving a mix of 3 different foods to help guarantee good nutrition. My koi and goldfish have always gobbled up this fish food, and since it softens fairly quickly, even the smaller fish - such as younger goldfish, can easily eat this. I wish it was less expensive, but what can be done about that. I highly recommend this food for summer feedings and choose the spring and fall which is wheat based for colder weather. One thing fish owners should be aware of with this type of yellow/red enhancement is that if your fish are white, whitish or partially white, they will develop a yellowish cast to them - there are other foods with color enhancement that will not cause that to happen. I don't care so much about that because both my goldfish and my koi readily consume this.

I had a heron attack on my pond which was that it the bird stabbed every large koi except one killing them but couldn't eat them because of the net. I only buy babies of everything because raising something is far more rewarding than getting it already full grown. 6 years ago I bought 4 inch Butterfly Koi and I feed them heavily for five months out of the year with these Koi sticks I stocked the pond with fancy goldfish as well as feeder goldfish that are now 8 in Long and breed every single season sometimes 2 or 3 times during it. The Koi anywhere from 22 to 28 in Long. And to Walmart lion head BTW I feed my fish a can of peas every week. Right now they're all in hibernation and have not had food for 6 weeks. I bought the best filtration out there you must have a UV light system with a high pressure pump filtration and live plants to keep the water crystal clear.

This is a good quality food that I have used now for years. Although this food contains corn (corn flour is the first ingredient - the better pond foods are more protein based using fish meal or similiar protein based product as the first ingredient), it is readily eaten by all of my goldfish and koi. What I specially like is that it floats and gets quite soft, soft enough that I have watched immature young goldfish suck in a whole pellet - so I don't have to worry that only the larger fish can eat this. This food is more of a warm weather summer food, especially since it is corn based - so during the cooler months one should feed their fish the spring/fall variety - which is wheat based and is more easily digestible. For all of my pets (fish, bird, dogs, cat) I use a '3 food rule' - feeding them on a daily basis 3 different foods to help ensure variety and guard against any vitamin deficiencies. In the title I do have a warning about feeding this food to white fish, including platinums and multi-colored with white. The reason for that is if you feed this food to them, they will over time develop a yellowish cast. They will no longer be a crisp bright white although they will most likely revert back in a couple months to brighter white once you stop feeding this food. This is due to the type of yellow/red color enhancement that this food contains. There are other color enhancing foods you can feed you fish if you want to avoid the yellowing, and generally those foods will indicate this in their descriptions, such as Saki-Hikari Professional Color Enhancing Koi Diet. I am very pleased with this food, my fish eagerly consume it, and the ingredients are of a good enough quality as long as I supplement with a better quality protein fish food. I can highly recommend this product. More technical information: This product according to my package is 'Made in Germany'. I mainly bought this food because of the attractive price and because the food was in larger pieces than the food I have been using. My fish, both large koi and a few small goldfish love this food. They have eaten the close to 5 pound bag in about 5 or 6 weeks. I really didn’t care about the claim of enhanced color, nor did I expect to see any difference in the color. I’ll admit now there after a few weeks my wife and I could easily see a difference in the brightness of their color....noticeably brighter. The sticks of food float and soften upon water. My large koi gulp the food down. The smaller goldfish try to eat the sticks but end up breaking off pieces and swallow that. I’ve been feeding them three times a day during the hot summer. I have not experienced any cloudiness of the water. I have reordered another bag already. I don’t have any negative comments about this food. I highly recommend it to anyone needing food for their koi or goldfish.

This product is a high quality fish food. I notice the other reviewer refers to it as "Vibrance" which this is NOT - Vibrance has a red/yellow color enhancement additive which this does not. This means that if your koi or goldfish are white that this is a better product than Vibrance so that your fish do not get a yellowish cast to them which Vibrance will definitely do. I follow a 3 food rule - which means I feed all my pets and animals 3 different kinds of food at every feeding - this variety, as long as all are good quality foods, helps to ensure health and reduces vitamin deficiences. One of the things I like most about using TetraPond floating sticks (Vibrance, Spring/Fall and this food here which is a summer food) is that the sticks soften fairly quickly which makes these foods more easily eaten by all sizes of the koi and goldfish. I have seen immature goldfish suck in a stick with no problem, as well as younger koi. These does not happen with many of the pellet foods which are simply too large and do not soften that much. I would recommend this food for summer feedings, not for spring and fall - make sure you choose a food that is listed for spring/fall as they are wheat based rather than corn and much more easily digestable in colder water.

My Koi LOVE the Vibrance food! I have to give them the Spring/Fall kind once I start feeding them in the Spring, which they will eat, but once I can finally switch over to the Vibrance, they act like different fish - way more excited about their meals. As a matter of fact, I'm praying they make it through the winter because I overfed them a lot last year and they were FAT at the end of the season. I couldn't help it! They would get so happy-acting that I hated to stop tossing the stuff in the water!

We have approximately 14 Koi in our backyard pond varying in sizes from 20" to 6". Our fish have loved this product and we've been using it for years. This is the first time we've ordered it online. Previously we've just picked it up at the local pet store or mart and the same size product was double the price of what we paid on Amazon. For the price the quantity is excellent. It was delivered quickly and will last us the summer through fall. Our fish are in excellent health, so the color enhancing feature of the product is a bit difficult to see a difference but they are extremely colorful. Our water is well balanced and clear with no clouding from this product. We would highly recommend Koi Vibrance Premium. Definitely save yourself some money and order it through Amazon!

Tetra Pond Koi Vibrance Floating Pond Sticks is the only food that I have used for my koi for the past 5 years. There is little waste produced from the food and my koi love it. This particular bag that I recently ordered is an awesome value. It is the largest bag that I have received and the price was very reasonable. The pond sticks are light and float on the surface. They become softer in the water which makes this a great food for even smaller koi. Our koi were about 4 inches in length when we first got them and are now close to a foot and a half long. The colors of our koi are very vibrant from this food mixture. This variety is meant for feeding during the warm months. There is a spring/fall blend for opening and closing of season.
