I'm not sure what was wrong with my lil betta, but his fins had become very ragged and torn over the course of a couple days. I bought this product, did a 90% water change with extra stress coat, cleaned off all of his tank decorations, and put in some new live plants and marimo moss balls. I used the Bettafix for 7 days without any filter cartridges in the filtration system, then did another water change as directed. His fins are looking great. They're still growing in, so I'm continuing with the Bettafix every other day before his next water change. He seems much more active and perky now. :)

If you have live plants, please don't make the mistake to put this in the tank. Take the fish out and treat it on a separate bowl. Otherwise you'll end up with a nasty algae problem.

I bought this product because my Betta's fin got torn on the edges of a plastic plant that has since been removed from the tank. He also has a dark spot on his tail that looks like scale damage, which I noticed after he was brought home. I used less dosage than what directions recommend, because I'm paranoid about giving him too much. It's been about a week now and I can already see the fin and scales beginning to regrow. Was not sure what to expect at first, but the bettafix seems to be doing it's job, so I'm grateful for this medicine and its positive results! 5 stars from me and fishy, here's to Betta health :)

Didn't fix my betta (pretty sure he had dropsy or some other awful infection) but smells good. I'm sure it's a great product. Would use again. Note: I do have a second betta that had some apparent fin-rot. This seemed to help clear that up.

I don’t often write reviews but this stuff saved my betta! I started about a week into what I believe was fin rot. He was losing length on his tail fin rapidly but was happy and active. After a week of use, the deterioration stopped but he didn’t seem to be getting better. I went to a pet store and they recommended another week use. I changed his water by about 1/3-1/2 at the end of the first week and continued use for almost another week. He is now growing his tail back and seems to be cured! Top photo before use, bottom 2 weeks later. Jagged edges gone and some growth!

With the way my betta had been acting, I certainly thought I was going to lose him after having for thirteen months. I went on line for betta accessories and came across BETTAFIX and after reading the directions and how it helps I purchased. Glad I did, my betta within a few days of my using perked up, is swimming around once again and responding to eating when I turn on the light to feed him. So glad I gave it a try so happy to have my "Bubbles" back. Highly recommend and is safe to use. Just follow the directions on the back of the bottle.

My fish jumped out of the tank overnight when I accidentally left the tank open. Luckily, the tanks are right above the kitchen sink, but her fins were badly damaged and discolored. I didn't think she would make it. She wasn't eating and was barely moving. I bought this with 1 day shipping and immediately added to her tank. She was thriving, eating and fins were growing back within hours. I was amazed. I decided to use a tiny amount with my male betta who had some minor fin damage and his fins became beautiful and full. It even seemed to reduce his aggressiveness.

I treated an abused fish and nursed it back to health with the help of this stuff. It helps repair fins, but there is nothing like good water quality, temperature, and adequate space to help speed fish recovery.

Betta tore his fins on a plastic plant and developed some mild fin rot. Removed the plant and started him on a course of Bettafix. I did a 25% water change daily for a week, dosing the new water with the appropriate amount of Bettafix. At the end of the 7 days, his fins looked SO much better. Much less raggedy and no black edges- and somehow even his color looks better. Thanks, API. This is good stuff. I’ve attached a before picture, taken six days before I started the Bettafix, and an after picture taken the day after the last dose.

Love this medicine. Our Beta got stuck in a feature, which tore its fins & scratched its back. We emptied 1\2 the water (to make it 5gal instead of 10) followed the directions for 10 days. Our Beta healed quickly- its color returned from pale, reenergized (was very lethatgic\ traumatic shock) repaired its back & made the torn fins close nicely.
