High quality and built for safety
If you’re looking for the best quality kayak hoist this is it. Hardware, line, and design is the best available. Easy to find much less expensive product however none will come close to the high end mechanisms and material used in this product. If you’re lifting a heavy kayak or removable vehicle hard tops and consider safety and each of use important then I recommend this over other products.

High quality and feels very secure about leaving canoe up. One arm operation hoisting a heavy canoe. Installing 2x6’s is necessary, you’ll want two 6’ long boards so you hit at least 3 studs.

Allows storage very close to ceiling!
Installation instructions are straight forward. I (a 70+ year old) installed by myself. Distance between wall (with block and tackle eye) and front pulleys determines available vertical travel (block and tackle can only travel between those two points). Super happy with how close I can get the kayak to the ceiling.
