Rottweiler durability? Surprisingly, yes.
My adolescent rottie is a chewer, like most. We realized quick with her that we could spend a small fortune on bones/antlers in no time flat, so we decided to try this as an alternative. And, in no time flat, she went to gnawing on it like her beloved bone chewies. After nearly two hours, I thought I was going to need to attempt to pry it from her clutch because I didn't know if she was ever going to stop chewing on it. Her jaws finally relented and she took a break. I was surprised to see minimal damage to it after all that chewing. She would have annihilated a real bone in the span of two hours. She eventually came back to it for some more enthusiastic chewing but it was short-lived. I could tell her jaws were actually tired from the first go at it. Didn't think anything could actually tire her jaws out, but this toy did it. Like any other chew toy, I wouldn't leave her alone with it just in case she managed to break off a chunk but so far it looks like it will stand up to her abuse for a little while. Time will only tell exactly how long but it's already lasted longer than the other bone chews, so money well spent. If it continues to hold up, it'll become a staple toy in our house.

Good bone but I didn't read the description lol
Totally my fault. This bone is for 50+ pound dogs, and as you can maybe see in this picture, my dogs are nowhere near that. Look how cute they are, though. They're like "man I want that bone but it's a little bit intimidating."

Great Bones For My Pitbulls
I'll keep it short; I have two 35lb pit-mix pups. They just turned a year old. They absolutely LOVE chewing these bones down... I get them the Souper bones (for the bigger dogs) because they chew like 130lb beasts. These bones last a little over a month.. I let them whittling these down to about 30% before I take them away, because I'm paranoid about them choking / trying to swallow them whole... But for 30 days they go to town. I've never had an issue with large chucks coming off, and my vet says they're fine to treat these things like rawhide. The manufacturer makes the flavor throughout every molecule of this product; dogs are meant to get to the center of it!

The Nylabone was recommended to me by a person at the grocery store ...
I waited to review this because I wanted to see how long it would last. My dog is a chewer and has went through the large cow bones in less than 2 hours. $20 gone in 2 hours! He has chewed through a minimum of $250 worth of chew toys in less than 2 months. The Nylabone was recommended to me by a person at the grocery store who has a husky (mine is a husky-terrier mix). She said he will most likely never quit chewing. She said she tried the Nylabone and it was a lifesaver for her. I tried it. It has been almost 2 months and he hasn't chewed through more than 1/4 of it and he chews on it daily. Everyday, I pick it up out of the floor and put it in his toy bin and he immediately takes it back out. It's not like he doesn't chew on it because he does. Well worth the money and it has saved my baseboards!

She is now over a year old and still loves gnawing on these bad boys while the humans relax at night
My dog loves all of the Nylabone extreme chewers products. Even though after about 3-4 months of chewing we do usually get her new ones because she is starting to get -very- tiny pieces off, they last a lot longer than other products that we have tried. I think if you have a dog that likes to chew toys but isn't quite so obsessive about destruction these will last you a lot longer. We have used these since she was a puppy which seemed to help with the teething and keep her away from our things that were not chew toys. She is now over a year old and still loves gnawing on these bad boys while the humans relax at night. Our dog is a very active, young adult, German Shepherd who is currently around 75lbs. My parents have a senior German Shepherd that isn't quite so obsessive about killing toys and their Nylabone Dura Chews have lasted years. It all just depends on how intent your dog is to try to destroy something, well worth the purchase for how long they have lasted us and how much our dog enjoys them.

For Power Chewers; don't break into dangerous shards and chunks
Our 3 60lb dogs share this bone along with other Nylabone Dura Chew Bones. Other chews that are less tough wouldn’t last a Day at our house, not to mention some of the other also-rans that we’ve tried are down-right dangerous, and can easily become a choking hazard. I highly recommend this style of chew for dogs with strong jaws and that love to chew. They are hard to destroy for some of the toughest/strongest jaws, so they last a while and give us more for out money. I have been using this type of Nylabone chew for several years with several dogs, with only positive results.

My pit mix and my boxer mix can destroy almost in anything in under 5 minutes. They have each been chewing on the Nylabone Dura Chew for Powerful Chewers for TWO WEEKS!!!

Durable Alternative
My dogs LOVE this bone. It has held up well to two 80lb labs that can chew most chew toys up in seconds. Our top chew toy around here is elk antlers but they are expensive so we were looking into an alternative that was just as hardy. This nylabone does not disappoint. It has been chewed on most days for hours at a time and still shows little wear and tear. We have several nylabones and this one is a favorite. Not sure if it is the flavor or the nubby ridges that make it so popular but the dogs love them. We do supervise our dogs when they have these bones or any other chew toy for that matter to make sure they aren't ingesting larger pieces then intended or that to make sure the toy/chew is still in good shape. So far this a winner in our house and a good durable and cheaper alternative to the elk antlers we have been using.

Great bone for an aggressive chewer
Great bone. I have a 40 lb pit bull mix and she seems to love the bone. She chews it and it's holding up well. Nylabone is one of my go-tos for dog bones.

Durable Chews, just like it says!
Nylabones are great if you have a big dog that likes to chew. They last long and only little bits break off that, if the dog swallows, supposedly passes through the dog without causing any problems. The price is very reasonable when compared to the useful life of the product. The souper size is great for big dogs (we have a pit mix). The negatives: 1. The little bits get all over the floor and stick to your feet or get into your slippers/shoes (not the bone's fault). 2. The bone will get chewed into a sharp, spearhead-like shape, which will hurt if your dog sticks you with it while running around, so exercise caution. 3. If the dog chews on the bone for a long time, her lip might start to bleed a bit. His lip will also tend to get stretched out.
