It's very easy to overload it
It's a beast of a case but it can fly without problems. It's very easy to overload it, though. Keep in mind if you are flying on most airlines today, you will pay extra if you go over 70 pounds (which this case can do easily). And at 100 pounds, you will not be putting this on a plane. We don't use it as a mic stand case. We use it for filmmaking gear. Our first trip with it, we had 105 pounds of grip gear in it and it could have easily taken more. Obviously we had to shift some items around to ensure it flew with us. It's been on multiple trips to several nations already. It's a bit beat up on the outside now, but what case isn't after the first trip with an airline? Definitely worth buying.

Fits Gibraltar curved rack without taking feet off!
Fits my gibraltar curved rack without taking the 20" feet off!!!! BooYah! finally. Yeah i have to angle them a hair but who cares. They fit! plenty of room for hihat and more stands to boot.

Tradeshow Traveler
Bought 2 of these to transport my trade show booth and samples around the country. They seem to be quite rugged and roomy enough to handle my needs. Have shipped both of these 4 times each now domestically and internationally and they have held up very well with no signs of any damage due to the rough handling that freaight and airline handlers can impart.

Amazing for the drummer with lots of hardware!
I am a working drum kit player with a large hardware collection. This case makes hauling your heavy equipment easy to load into a vehicle and transport to the stage. It fits my two heavy-duty DW suspension stands with 4 boom arms, a stand alone boom, Hi Hat stand, throne, AND my double pedals IN THEIR CASE with room to spare. As far as I am concerned, there is no better option for a hard case for your expensive and HEAVY hardware. If you hate hauling your hardware in pieces by hand, BUY THIS CASE! You will not be disappointed.

Large and roomy.
I love this because I can fit my rack and any stands / parts for easy transport.

The best feature besides the size is the tie-down straps
This thing has been a life saver. My entire kit (minus drum shells, obviously) goes in this case. Hardware, rug, seat, stick bag, kick pedal, all of it. I have heavy duty DW 5000 hardware, so this puppy gets heavy, but I only have to make one trip with it and I don't have to worry about my gear being lost. The best feature besides the size is the tie-down straps. These make sure all the gear is secured and doesn't get damaged while loading and unloading. I absolutely LOVE this case. SKB wins again.

Used it for Yamaha Tyros 4 Arranger for overseas travel. Excellent!!
Excellent case, very sturdy and easy to roll. bought it about 3 years ago and use it multiple time. Still holding. My son needed a case for his Yamaha Tyros 4 for travelling. I looked for a case but nothing I could get fast. This case was designed for drums hardwear. The mesurement worked for the Yamaha Tyros4 arranger. We lined it with memory foam and strapped it with the belts. Travelled overseas and back in perfect conditions. Excellent!!!

Great case, I fit ALL my stands, Tripods, and more in it, huge, reliable, saves time and money because time is money!
This case is really excellent. I was about to buy a less expensive case that would have carried much less, but I figured, you know what, why not buy this monster, well, we call it "The Coffin" because you can fit two people in there very easily. Not to be morbid, just trying to give you a sense of proportion, but yea it does kind of look like a coffin. Off topic, but yea, it's great. I'm in video production, not music, when we do a job we can easily put 5-10 light stands in there and most importantly 2 tripods as well which we used to have to make a few trips to and from the van to do; now they're just stored away in this case. Just beautiful. Sure, once you have 100+ lbs of equipment in there, you need a strong person guy or lady, to lift it up and navigate it through hallways, up and down stairs (which becomes a two person job), but wheeling and lifting this case in and out of the jobs we do is far more preferable than making 10+ trips to and from the car. And you look way more professional using this than having everything loose or even in a cube on a dolly of some sort, just my humble opinion.

Can't beat it for the price
The "trap" drum stand cases are much more expensive and don't hold nearly as much. This doesn't have the tray, but it feels sturdy, the handles and wheels are field-replaceable with parts from SKB, and there ARE straps inside to hold things down. I wouldn't trust the key lock to ensure security, but for the price I paid (I think it was on sale), I'm pretty happy - it only cost $50 or so more than a rolling hardware bag and I think it will be much sturdier.

Great Case for transporting a lot of gear.
I use this for videography equipment and its proven to be an excellent, one-stop solution for centralizing my gear to one case. It holds all of my stands, extension cords, reflectors, booms, tripods and even a set of 2 - 500 LED panels. I would be careful, however, not to overload it and adhere to its weight limit since it is not reinforced anywhere.
