I use this on my cats and it works perfectly. Have never seen any ticks or fleas. We live in the country were they hunt in the fields so I needed a product I could trust. Highly recommended

My newly acquired 11 year-old kitty had fleas and I was reluctant to use a toxic product to address the problem. The vet said to NEVER bathe a cat with flea shampoo because they lick the toxic residual. He assured me that Frontline is among the best products because it ts not very systemic but rather works through the hair follicles and kills fleas, larvae and ticks. Within 2 days of the first application, I found no evidence of fleas. Three weeks later, still not a one! (And kitty showed no ill effects from use!)

Sure Frontline Plus for Cats costs more than what you MIGHT be tempted to buy Over The Counter at the drug store or the Supermarket -- but those OTC products have killed or neurologically (seriously) damaged too many cats and dogs-- and I wonder why those OTC products are still being sold. As a new pet owner 20 yrs ago, I almost killed my cat with an OTC product-- I frantically called the vet immediately -- seconds after applying it and seeing my cat have a reaction -- and luckily all I had to do was put my cat under a warm shower and wash her off -- if I had waited any longer I would have had to take a very sick cat to the vet, with no guarantee of a full recovery. That being said, paying a little extra for Frontline For Cats is worth it -- in the long run you pay MUCH less than you would have to pay if you had to tke your cat to the vet for a life-threatening reaction to an OTC flea product(make sure you get a Cat product and not a Dog product as Cats' livers process chemicals differently than do dogs' livers- i.e., a cat CAN get poisoned by a dog product) Frontline Cat Plus starts working in (as I have observed) less than 24 hours-- make sure you apply it as indicated on the package. My Big Bad Baby Twinkle cat can turn her head almost 270 degrees, and she tries to lick it off the back of her neck, so I have to put a (soft) Elizabethan collar on her and monitor her for about 12 hours to make sure she doesn't walk into walls (that collar may impair her line of vision). Please DO montior your cat to make sure s/he does not have a (rare but it may happen) reaction to Frontline, but I have never seen that happen in all my 3 cats. At any sign of a reaction call the vet immediately. Other than that, when the fur dries, your cat is protected very well. Then it's up to you to remove the source of the problem - the fleas -- in blankets, bedding, on rugs, etc. Ihad to do that-- it was a chore but it certainly was worth it -- for me AND for my cat(s). If the infestatin is very heavy, please call your vet to see what else can be done. (I had to do that too)

I had accidentally purchased regular Frontline for my cat a few months ago, not noticing that the regular product is only for fleas and doesn't say anything on the box about ticks. Then my cat started coming in from outside with ticks around her neck. I immediately ordered this Frontline Plus product, it came within a few days, I applied it, and the tick problem disappeared immediately. It's possible there's some element of coincidence, as the weather also got colder during that time, but nonetheless I will keep purchasing this product, for peace of mind!

I think this is the best out of several brands, esp. for fleas. You give it once a month but you CAN put it on them once every two weeks or once a week if the fleas are bad. This was a reasonable price. Stores know it's the best and they really pump up the prices, so always this was a good buy. For dogs, they have sprays that you can just spray on the dog but you can't (or shouldn't) spray on cats since they keep themselves clean by licking and will swallow anything you spray on, so you have to be careful. This, you squeeze out on a spot between their shoulder blades which they can't reach by licking or scratching. My one cat has fur so thick that even when you part it, you can't see his skin, so I had to cut some of the fur away to make a place for the Frontline. Some people apply it to the cat once a month forever since, once they get fleas, it's a nightmare, so it can be applied for prevention also.

I've used this for many years on my cats and it's always worked wonderfully to kill fleas and keep the ticks off, but I began noticing decreased efficacy over the past few years. I don't know if the fleas and ticks are becoming immune to this or if the company changed the formula, but it was completely ineffective last year.

I know a lot of people complain about bad stuff being sold online like this but it worked fine for my two cats and the fleas are gone. I had made the mistake of putting another brand made for dogs and both of them got sick. Luckily I realized my mistake quickly and gave them both baths to remove it. They were better by the next day and I will never do that again.

I have a Turkish angora mix who is extremely sensitive to topical flea products. He will scratch the area of application until his hair falls out. This is the only product that he doesn't have a reaction to. It also saved us when one of our dogs gave the cats fleas. Frontline Plus for cats took care of the couple we found on the cats, and the dog version took care of the dogs. We used to buy this for almost three times the price at the vet. I am so happy to have found it on Amazon! Repeat buyer here!

We live in an area with a tick problem. We are in the south east and that tends to be murder on animals in the summer. Fleas and ticks run rampant. This took care of the ticks that were getting on my indoor/outdoor cat. He likes to go out and wander about all day, then come inside at night. He started bringing in ticks. We switched from Advantix to Frontline Plus. That completely fixed our tick problem! It also keeps all the fleas away too. Must use this religiously in our area for all of the warm months if not all year!

Our cats haven't had any fleas or ticks since using frontline!! We live right by a forest, and before using frontline our older cat would go in the woods and come back with like 30 ticks, and she'd dump fleas everywhere!! Not a single unwanted flea or tick since using frontline though. And buying it here on amazon is the cheapest!! They have it at Costco too, but you have to buy a double pack for $60+, and I don't have the budget for that. We'all continue to buy it here.
