Great quality

I had an old scotch dispenser that I've had for years and the blade got rusty so I checked on replacing it , it would cost more to replace the blade that it would to purchase this new one. I'm so glad I did it is heavy great quality and that's important because when you pull the tape you don't want the dispenser to move it's good looking and the price is so right.

Perfect for wrapping Christmas gifts!

I have a LOT of children, which means I have a lot of gifts to wrap! Picking up a tape dispenser to pull off a piece of tape several times while wrapping a gift may not seem like a very daunting thing... but I thought a tape dispenser I could use with one hand would make things go a little more smoothly. I bought this and I’m so glad I did! I took the roll of invisible tape from the flimsy case it came in and popped it into this. The part that holds the tape snaps into place and holds it firmly. There is a no-slip grip on the bottom of the dispenser, and the weight is just enough to hold the dispenser while you get your piece of tape. The ‘blade’ cuts neatly and evenly, although you do have to pull it down a tad bit more than seems normal, but you get used to it. I’m so glad I bought this, and I’m keeping it with the Christmas decorations so I can use it again next year!

matches my silver and/or black office supplies on my desk

Got it for a great price. Under 5 dollars with tax. It matches my office stapler and paper clip holder. the silver does...well, so does the black. it works just as i need it to. it doesn't have a middle piece that comes out and can be lost, dropped, broken...you know the part that the tape goes around? its got good weight to it, but not so heavy like the old ones that make absolute no sense because its heavier than a paper weight. the one thing i always am wary of, the part that tears the tape. it works. I can only wonder what those tape dispensers that weight 20 dollars or more can do. They don't even match my other office supplies. It is very easy to cut with only one hand

I bought this dispenser for my 4 year old, it really encourages him to do so many projects. Now everyone in the familynot only refuse to use tape without this dispenser, we bought a few more for all the places we go. It is very easy to cut with only one hand, and the base is heavy enough for it not to move when cutting.

Heavy and sharp enough to do the job

I wanted a double roll dispenser like I purchased here 4 years ago since there are jobs for which a re-positionable (aka Magic) tape is better. I settled for this model for my computer desk drawer since I use tape more in the kitchen where I keep my larger, heavier Officemate OIC Recycled 2-In-1 Heavy Duty Tape Dispenser, Black (96690) that holds wider tape for sealing packages along with a narrower tape that's good for attaching return labels. I looked for a desk model because of my continuing frustration using two older specialty plastic hand-held dispensers with tape that is obviously lighter in weight today than the "Scotch tape" I grew up using. Lighter weight tape is especially frustrating in the winter when static can grab and fold it back on itself. But what is completely "crazy-making" is to have a length meant to tape down the longer side of an Amazon return label twist instead of tearing off cleanly and leaving me with that twisted length, plus a few more inches, stuck to my hand. For that very reason I do not buy "bargain" tape, so it's doubly disappointing when I end up with tape stuck to my fingers. This dispenser's metal "teeth" keep the tape from twisting and sticking to the wrong target; and its weight is heavy enough to keep it from sliding should I have it on top of my desk instead of down in the drawer with invoices and such. So I feel confident in recommending it. Just be sure to fully press the roll down into the dispenser to keep it from lifting when you begin to tear off tape.

Scotch - always reliable!

Does what it's supposed to. As reliable as any other Scotch tape dispenser. Just needed one for home because we keep smashing the disposable tape dispensers in our kitchen drawer. Thankful for a reliable product and at a good price. We bought a bunch of "Sk'oodl'e Transparent Tape Refill" at a good deal, but those didn't fit the dispenser, as the tape doesn't have standard size inner hole cutout.

BETTER THAN EXPECTED! WONDERFUL!

I must admit that I bought it because it was an add-on model and was cheap. However, the quality makes it anything but cheap. The thing I like the most is the flip open spool holder that cannot get lost. I've spent tons over the years purchasing new holders because the spool fell on the floor and disappeared into the "black holes" in every office. Now, I won't have to worry about that anymore. It is heavy enough to make it easy to pull and use tape. It sits where you put it while using it. I also love the two tone, which will make it much easier to find on my crowded desk -- and reduce the number of times I should ask: "Have you seen my tape?" when it is right in front of me. NICE!

I honestly don't know why could there be any negative reviews for this great "gadget". It is so comfortable, compact, nice design, great weight distribution, and better of all, the flexible tape holder that raises up when you pull the tape! A must buy!

I had very low expectations when I ordered this $5.99 dispenser - was I ever surprised. The unit is quite well constructed, heavy enough to allow one hand use, and it looks great. It also has a feature that I love, the tape spindle is permanently fixed to the unit. I have an older dispenser with a missing spindle, it simply disappeared, so the old unit is worthless. A replacement spindle is nearly as expensive as this entire unit. The spindle on this flips up on a hinge, slip the tape on the spindle and return it to the normal position. I highly recommend this dispenser.

Heavyweight- Great Quality

Really nice tape dispenser. Heavyweight and easy to place the tape on it. You simply raise the roll holder and slide on your tape. I just bought a scotch roll of tape for it and it worked fine. I'm sure any brand of tape would work on it. This dispenser doesn't include tape - so make sure you buy some. Looks really nice - highly recommend this product.
