This is one of those tools you use it once and it pays off having it. The alternative is renting it from the parts store, cleaning it after you are done, returning it...and renting it again when you need the belt off for any reason. Etc...etc.. The tool is solid and well made. Tidily kept in its storage case. Multiple angles, in addition to the ratcheting mechanism, make it "manageable" in many configurations around the engine compartment. You will notice that there is commonly available o-ring around the 3/8 drive which is used not only for securing the crowfoot wrenches but also for tensioners accepting straight 3/8 drives. MY SUGGESTION: Remove the o-ring with a small pick and set it aside until you need to use it with the crowfoot. The use of the 3/8 drive on tensioner is much easier without this o-ring on it.

I don't understand anything short of a 5-start review here at all. I used this on a 2006 Acura TL V6 to do a timing belt change, and it's as close to the perfect tool as I have used! Couldn't have possibly made removing the serpentine belt any quicker and/or easier! It’s versatility extends far beyond loosening the serpentine belt tensioner, and I used it to easily loosen the idler bolt and various other bolts in the tight spaces on the front of the engine related to the timing belt change. You can come up with many different combinations and reach fasteners with ease, and the extension handle gives you lots of leverage. Furthermore, you can use the GearWrench pass through sockets and reportedly any other Apex made pass through sockets in 3/8” drive size with it. You can also use regular sockets with the included drive adapters, though this obviously adds height over simply using a pass through socket directly. In my opinion, this is a MUST HAVE tool for any toolbox!!!

I attempted to put on a belt on my wifes moms van and after bandaging all the cuts on my hand I said the hell with it BUT then I saw this tool and read the reviews and to a chance that they knew what they were talking about ,and what a GREAT TOOL Ive used it twice now and LOVE IT!! well made and had no trouble with it,so happy to find something that actually does whats its supposed to do,you guys out there that are using 2 wenches like i used to,stop and get this tool

This is very nice n sturdy tool.i tried using different wrenches, breaker bar with different sockets etc etc but was unable to replace serpentine belt on my honda.then i purchased this tool and replacing serpentine belt was very easy.pls do not waste your time n energy and i recommend all of u to buy this tool if u r planning to replace serpentine belt on ur car by yourself..this tool is a quality tool and will fit almost any car n make with the accesories it comes with.it seems this tool will last me lifetime if i dont lost it..!

Excellent tool and well made. I used it on 2014 CRV and 2012 MDX It is the only way to change the drive belt using this tool. You need the arm to articulate. If you had a long wrench like the craftsman or OTC your wrench would be too long and not be able swing in the engine bay. Engine bays are getting smaller and smaller and you need to bend around obstructions. Also this at least has case for storage. Dealer wants $150 for drive belt replacement. Buy the tool, buy the belt, spend15 minutes and save your self more than half the price of stealership cost!

Purchased this to replace the serpentine drive belt on my 2007 Honda Odyssey 3.5 V6. The wrenches, sockets, and crow feet adapters are excellent quality and come in a very nice case. The tool helped make the job a lot easier getting the tensioner pully loose, as there is very little clearance to replace the serpentine belt. The wrench handle is skinny, which aids in getting in tight places, and the included ratcheting end wrench and 6 point sockets (14mm required in my case) together give you a great deal more leverage to overcome the tensioner and get it retracted so you can remove and replace the belt. Overall, this tool made the job far easier than trying to fit a standard breakover bar and socket in a tight space while trying to get the belt loose and fish it out from the pulleys. I would highly recommend this to anybody looking for a quality serpentine belt tool kit.

This is a very versatile tool. I initially purchased it because I needed to move the belt tensioner. However with the attachments and a few sockets I made a half a dozen different types of wrench to get my alternator out of my 2009 Honda Accord. If you’ve ever attempted something like this on a relatively modern car you know that the engines are assembled outside of the car and then dropped in so it is very difficult to service anything around the belt. With the attachments available you can add standard sockets and extensions. The main part is about the size of a box wrench but is has a ratcheting end. I was able to get the socket on the bolt and stick the ratchet downward and then very slowly got the bolt out. I will use this product again but I might go to the shop the next time I need to replace an alternator!

I used this to replace a serpentine belt on my wife's 2011 Kia Sportage, which had only about 1 inch of clearance between the tensioner bolt and the engine bay wall. 1 inch is not enough room for a standard ratchet and socket to fit. I could have used a standard 17 mm box end wrench, but it was hard to get enough torque on the tensioner bolt to loosen the serpentine belt. So, I used Gearwrench's 3680 Ratcheting Wrench Serpentine Belt Tool and this kit (it's really a kit) worked like a charm. The supplied wrench and socket are narrow, so it fit the tight space easily and the red handled torque handle easily supplied the proper amount of torque to get the job done. Overall, I would say the Gearwrench 3680 Ratcheting Wrench Serpentine Belt Tool (Kit) is easily one of the best tools that I have in my garage and it makes the task of changing a serpentine belt much, much easier. I have been buying Gearwrench tools for years and I have always been impressed with their quality. I would give it 10 stars if I could. Thanks Gearwrench!

I highly recommend this product. If you gotta remove drive belts on different makes and models this is for you. I bought a kit from cornwell truck that was more expensive and the gearwrench kit does more has more adapters and cost less on amazon. I use this on 90% of all belts i remove and replace. The other kit collects dust under my toolbox.

I purchased a straight serpentine belt tool from a local tool store hoping to save a few bucks, only to find that it doesn't work well with my year Honda CRV (2007). The key to this tool is that you can angle it. I am not a very seasoned/experienced mechanic, so I spent a couple of hours fighting with the other tool, before breaking down and buying this one. Learn from my experience and save yourself some anguish and just buy this one. I was able to finish the job quickly using this tool. It is high quality and very well designed, and I anticipate it will come in handy down the road.
