Use it instead of gloss, GREAT for bugs!
This stuff is just plain awesome. Keep the bugs at bay and I can't say how happy I am that I can get it in clear instead of pink!! I use it at horse shows in my mare's ears and around her eyes instead of gloss and it makes a huge difference when we show outside.

Great For Keeping Flies Away! Be Careful And Wear Gloves When Applying!
I bought this for my dog because the flies were eating up her ear. First I cleaned the wounded areas, applied Neosporin then Vaseline on top of that. Next I put on plastic rubber gloves and applied SWAT Fly Repellent AROUND the infected areas and on other parts of her body. Only where she (Dalmatian Mix) had a lot of hair and NEVER made skin contact. This worked great. The flies were gone and her wounds healed in a little over a week. The bad part was having to do it everyday because she was always rolling around in dirt all the time and it's smell is similar to that of Ben-Gay. I highly recommend this product.

SWAT really works!!! on contact.
Product delivered on or before scheduled time. Secure packaging. Great product. It does what is says it will do. Works on contact. After initial application on animal, very little is needed for additional treatments. Flies appeared confused at first upon first application of ointment. They try to hang around and attempt to return to the area of attack, but then begin to disperse away from the attacked area once they notice the presence of the magic formula from the ointment on the familiar area they were attacking before. Worked within seconds to under at least two minutes on my dog. Her ears and her hang out area is now a fly free zone. Ears are noticeably healing and hair is regrowing. Wish I had known about this product a long time ago. Happy with purchase. Will consider buying again as necessary.

Keeps flies off and is relatively long-lasting
I love this. I really do. I LOVE IT. I use it around eyes, on ears and on the legs of our horse, pony and mini donkey with great results. I will probably buy in larger quantities in the future - but this is a great weapon in our arsenal against flies. We use fly predators, fly spray (Ultrashield only) and fly masks, fly traps and sometimes fly boots. This really helps target specific areas for protection and I also like the pink version.

Works.
I checked the reviews on this before I purchased it, and seen lots of good reviews. So I thought I'd add to them. I have 2 Siberian huskys. I keep them outside and they get eatin by flies during the summer ,my girl in particular. So I bought this product for them and let me just say one month later and my girl is back to normal, her fur is growing back around her eyes nose and on her ears. I'm so glad I got this. Thank you Farnam fly repellent.!!!! 😍😍👌👌

Swat seal leaked & pink salve got inside the Amazon packing box. see picture
The Product Swat is a GREAT product and does exactly what it is supposed to do. I Have been buying and using Swat for years but purchased at Local Feed & Supply stores. Also hard to find the Pink which we like so we can see where it is applied. But not a good idea to have Swat shipped. Amazon packers are rather sloppy and my other items just bounced around inside the amazon box. I had a book in this box, but was able to wipe off the pink salve as book cover was coated. The other two items were pills in plastic bottles so they were OK.

Love this product for keeping the flies off my dog and aiding in the healing of sores.
Our husky always has a problem during the summer months with flies bothering her ears. We have tried many things to try and keep the flies away and avoid her getting sores. i came across this and decided after reading several good reviews we would give it a try. The price was great. This is a great product. It really helped keep the flies off her ears and head. And she had previous sores before using this and this product helped to aid the healing process for her. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who is having problems with flies bothering their pets. We did not have to use alot at a time, so the container goes a long ways. When we run out we will definitely be buying more of this product.

Great for ear gnats.
This is really great to keep the bugs off irritated skin while it heals. It is also the only product we've found to keep those awful biting ear gnats away! I cup my fingers behind the horse's ear and swipe my thumb smeared with SWAT across the hairs inside their ears (quickly). One quick move and the gnats won't bother their ears for a couple of days.

A life saver!
After rescuing a donkey and her foal, it took no time at all for biting flies to begin tormenting the pair - the mama especially. Blood spots on all four legs and along the face. I dashed to the local feed store and bought Bronco spray. It helped for perhaps an hour or two, then the problem resumed. I then tried another Farnam spray which touts being weather proof and lasting for up to 17 days. Again, no significant difference. At last I ordered Swat, and as I applied it around her existing wounds I noticed the flies leaving. I then applied a thin layer (warmed and rubbed between gloved palms) to the entire leg from the mid point to the hoof edge. Two days later and there were no flies to be seen and a marked improvement in the wounds themselves. Brilliant! I'd felt terrible for mama donkey and am thrilled to have found a product that affords her some relief against the relentless Tennessee insect population. Ordering another jar soon!

First-rate product
Excellent to protect open wounds from flies and gnats, Ditto for the insides of equine ears--I slather it inside the ears of my horses and donkeys every morning--otherwise the gnats will chew their delicate ears into bloody hamburger. I also rub it under their eyes (not above--it might drip when it melts), on their muzzles and in the long groove under their faces (a favorite place for ticks) between the cheek bones to the chin-. My equines wear fly masks with ears and muzzle flaps, but gnats will find any little gap--and sometimes the animals lose their masks. I use fly spray or fly wipe on the rest of the animal. I have a dog with arthritis--she cannot reach her butt to keep it clean. She's had a serious, life-threatening problem with anal maggots--I use SWAT on her rear end to keep flies away.
