I used this trimmer almost upon arrival because my beard was really out of control. The user manual was a bit all over the place and not quite clear (no indication as to how to place the trimmer piece on the blades), but once I figured it out (and also when I saw how to use different grades for length), it was very easy to use. I don't think I'll ever use the attachments because the trimmer itself is simple and more than enough for my needs. Just for that I can give it the five stars it deserves. Obviously, though, whoever wrote the manual didn't have the trimmer on hand, so I won't hold it against the product or the manufacturer.

In the past, I would purchase cheap trimmers and discard them after a few months when they get dull and not function as well as they use to. I found that it was more cost efficient for me to do this rather than buy an expensive trimmer that eventually degrades in performance after a while. I bought this relatively cheap Wahl 9906-717 Groomsman with the intension of using it for about 6 months and discarding it after it loses its sharpness. Fast forward two years later, and this little gadget is still going strong. I use it every 2-3 days to trim my goatee. It is as sharp and doesn't pull hair (which is a sign that it's time to throw out). The motor is still fast and it performs just like the day I bought it. I didn't really keep up with the maintenance of oiling the blade, I probably did it around 3 times in 2 years. I will continue to use this razor until it finally stops working and then buy the same model.

I've had this for two months now and like it. I use the adjustable head for trimming eye brows and underarm/chest hair. I use one of the fixed heads for a daily "scruffy" beard look. The shaver itself feels very solid but not too heavy. It's not overly loud, and seems to cut as well as if not better than other units I've tried in that price range. If you're expecting something like a professional would have, then be prepared to pay professional prices. PROS: Great for the price (I'd pay $30+ for one if I had to) Shaver seems like a solid, quality unit Trim guides for a wide range of cut lengths Batteries so far have 2 months of daily use and still going strong Comes with head lube for longer blade life CONS: Trim guides seem like they'll break easily (but haven't yet) Trim guides changing can be tricky (READ THE DIRECTIONS) No travel case Stand works great until you bump it - accessories aren't secure I've struggled to take the guides on and off many times and have yet to break one. When I first got the unit, I fumbled with them for a while, but once I actually read the directions, I could change them pretty easily. Wahl's comsumer products are not US made, but they are still headquartered in Sterling, Illinois and still produce their professional line in the US. These days it's as close as you're going to get to supporting American manufacturing.

I ordered this trimmer after the flimsy plastic from another brand broke after just a few months. I knew Wahl had a good reputation, so I gave this one a try. I have been trimming with this for a while now and have had very clean results. Battery: Good. I have not had to charge it at all yet. Weight: Medium. A bit heavy, but mostly because it's durable and well put together. Performance: Great. Very good results with just a few passes over my beard. Attachments: Many choices! I have only used the variable length attachment, which rattles a bit, but there is a stubble attachment and a longer length one for sideburns, etc. Stand: Poor. The stand is a flimsy piece of plastic that is not a charging station. I prefer to keep my attachments in my drawer, so I have already tossed the stand.

I'm giving this item 5 stars because not one was on impressed with the price I was also impressed How that cut! I thought they rechargeable but then I got to thinking I'm always on the run so I'll rather you use batteries in my case because I'm not always near a plug. They cut very clean and they're very sharp I see why everyone wrote a good review is why I wanted to give them a try. I recently bought some andis and I very disappointed and the price and the way they cut.. 11.99 great price and performance!

I bought these to replace one I'd had for over 5 years. Yep, it took that long for it to die. It's a great set of clippers.

I have tried many different products for beard trimming in the past, including several much more expensive models from other brands. This is my favorite, by far. Here's why: It has a great selection of beard guides, from very short stubble to very long. I myself maintain a beard that takes three weeks to grow from a completely shaved face and this trimmer helps to easily maintain it. I have thick, bushy, curly beard hair and this trimmer still works well for me. It is powered by AA batteries but it lasts me for months. It is more convenient than trimmers that have a built in battery because you can replace these batteries quickly if you're in a rush and can't wait for the battery to charge. Also, built in batteries will degrade over time. it also comes with a few accessories like a stand, brushes and oil for the machine. I haven't used the oil yet after half a year of owning it. I will just buy another one instead if it ever becomes dull or breaks, which hasn't happened so far after a half year of ownership. Cons? I wish it had more beard guides. I believe it comes with five of various sizes, which do work well, but considering they're made of plastic it wouldn't have been too hard to include twice as many for a more precise size. Still the best trimmer I've tried and QUITE a bargain as well.

What a price and free delivery, thank you to everyone! My last Wahl had 3 batteries and you had to basically destroy the batteries in order to get them out to recharge them. This takes 2 AA batteries and they come out smoothly. Must have fired the engineers from the last model. Works great, fantastic price, lots of accessories to reduce mistakes.

This trimmer is so totally cool. Never used one before (new beard) and it's so easy with Groomsman Beard and Mustache. A number of head attachments let you select the length of beard or mustache you want. I use it every day now.

Works awesome!! Has all the attachments you'll ever need. Only fault I can find is that it's a little bit loud but for the money this is 5 stars for sure
