Fantastic value, Amazing sound quality for your dollar.
Great headphones for money. I bought these based on a friends recommendation, he said they're similar to the Koss porta pros, but they dont have a headband, and he's right. Things i like: -appropriately detailed sound quality for listening to music (best results with cd or other lossless files) -not so detailed or sharp that listening becomes fatiguing -sound stage is excellent and wide, stereo separation is excellent and feels extreme sometimes, it really feels like you're surrounded by whatever music you play, -present but not overwhelming or "boomy" bass -amazing value at $15 -sound exactly like the porta pros, a great headphone that costs about 3 times as much as this. things i dont like: -the around ear parts dont keep the drivers on your head tight, it feels like the sound doesn't "seal", i know that's the name of the game with semi-open back headphones, but sometimes it doesn't feel like the music is centered in your ears -the cord feels cheap, and i know out of experience that it will break, probably within a year or so -the sound leakage is bad when the volume is loud, but that's just how semi-open back headphones are -somewhat high impedance (at 60 ohm) for being designed as portable headphones (usually most modern portable headphones are at 32 ohm), your phones can drive it fine, but when i plugged them into my computer with headphone amp, it really came alive and got to be really loud. -these headphones may not be good for glasses users, as it sits where glasses rest on your ears, i dont wear glasses, so this isn't a downside for me personally, just something i thought should be said other things (and opinions that i feel aren't critical to the review of the product): -not suitable for airline travel, too much sound would leak in. -you can in fact attach these to the porta pro band -the headphones feel like they aren't on your head, they are so lightweight, im wearing them as i write this and its kinda strange, i dont know if i like it or not. -i tested these with a variety of music genres before i decided to write this review, to me they sound best with synthpop, IDM, 80's and 90's hip hop, jazz and its various sub genres, ambient, acid house, prog rock, big beat/house, old school industrual/ebm, for some reason Michael Jackson and Primus sounds stunning on these headphones. that being said newer hip hop, and other very bass heavy music doesn't come across very well on these headphones (definitely not basshead headphones), as well as modern rock/metal the distorted guitar details kinda get lost in these headphones. -these headphones are revealing enough for you to notice things like clipping and side chain compression in your music, as well as lo fi sources/samples. if you listen exclusively to low quality mp3s, you will notice mpeg compression and noise artifacts after a long enough period. -feed these headphones some high quality, well mastered and produced music, and enough voltage to hit the sweet spot of volume, and it will blow you away. -seriously buy these things if you've made it this far in my review, you wont regret it, its a crazy good value, i doubt you (yes, you, random amazon.com customer) can't afford the $15 dollar buy in.

So good I wrote a review.
Let me start by saying that I NEVER write reviews for things. So what about these made me actually sit down and write one 6 years after I purchased these? Well finally I decided to upgrade to a better set of over the ear cans in preparation for getting a VR headset. After much searching the Monoprice 108323 Premium Hi-Fi DJ Style Over-the-Ear Pro Headphone Bundle with 3.5mm to 1/4-Inch Gold-Plated Adapter Plug and Accessories (5 Items) Seemed the best budget selection, with many reviews including those on notable tech sites saying they were close in sound quality to $100 headsets. I received the Monoprice and eagerly connected them to hear all the great quality I had been missing. I was not not blown away, for a set that cost twice what these do I expected more of a difference, So I grab my trusty old Koss to compare. And I was blown away. They didn't sound just as good as the more expensive Monoprice they crushed them in sound quality. I thought "This can't be,No way those cheap little things are better" so I try different Genres of music,Electric, jazz, classic, rock I even plugged them into a video game console. Koss beats Monoprice every time. I returned to Monoprice the same day I received them. So aside from the great sound I can also say that as I've owned one pair for six years I've had no problem with durability, I've even used them regularly while exercising and had almost no problem with them falling off while running, jumping or doing push-ups. You just need to take some time when you get them and bend the clip so fit good enough to stay put. I now use them while playing with my PlayStation virtual reality headset and also have no problem with them falling while moving around in that. My only problem is that I wish they had a Bluetooth version. But there are adapters you can get that fix that.

Best headphones for the price.
These are, in my opinion, the best headphones you can get for this price. I absolutely love them. The sound is well balanced, with just the right amount of all frequencies. Treble extension is great, bass extension is good, and the bass is tight and controlled. Mids are very present and the sound signature works for all kinds of music. They are very light and comfortable on the ears, and the build quality is pretty nice, although not that great-looking and a bit cheap-feeling. They have a lifetime warranty, although you have to pay $7 and shipping for a replacement, and depending on shipping times it may be better to just buy another pair due to how cheap they are. These don't have the best bang for buck - that title goes to the VE Monk Plus earbuds on Aliexpress, but with the 360Hz blip on those and the lack of bass extension, as well as the soundstage compared to these, makes me like these a lot more. The KSC75's last a lot longer as well. These are a very close second place for bang for buck, IMO. Of course, these don't have any sort of isolation, and leak quite a bit. These work just fine on 99% of audio sources, and are very forgiving. But if your phone or laptop has a really low-powered headphone jack, you may have to turn up the volume a lot to get acceptable volume levels. This shouldn't be a problem with any modern phone, although hooking these up to a good amp does improve the sound noticeably. Not worth getting one, though. If you don't like the ear hook design, you can also look up "KSC75 headband mod" on Google. There is a cheap $2 headphone that you can buy which has a compatible headband that snaps right into these. Bottom line is, if you need a cheap pair of headphones, get these. You won't be disappointed. These are my top recommendation right now.

A SOUND INVESTMENT!
I've said it before and I say it again, these are one of the THE best deals in all of audio! If like me you are an audiophile, or would be a real one if you could afford it, these are to lightweight portable Walkman-style headphones what, say, the Sumiko Blue Point is to cartridges. They have the BEST SOUND especially for the money of ANY lightweight "sport" headphone I have ever used. Very natural, clear, not harsh and grainy....and I have compared them to several other comparable priced similar phones. I spend most of time in NYC so I do NOT want noise-canceling phones because I need to be aware of my surroundings as I walk these streets. These allow me to hear my surroundings and my music. They look dorky but for this sound at this price, so what? NOTE FOR POTENTIAL BUYERS: there ARE a few drawbacks to these 'phones. 1, one earpiece inevitably shorts out sooner or later. At this price it's just the way it is. 2, they can be a bit uncomfortable especially given their light weight, it ALWAYS seems that the clip on one side just will NOT sit quite right on your ear... and 3, the earclip easily pops off of the actual earpiece. This is fixed easily by cutting a small piece of duct tape to fit over the earclip whete it snaps into the earpiece.

The things can thump, and sound good in other stuff too
There's really only a few options if you want on ear headphones like these, and the Sony ones are triple the price. These look kind of stupid, but MAN they sound a lot better than they look. I sort of expected the mids and highs to be decent, but the bass really surprised me. I'm not a bass head or anything, but I tested the following genres and listed my completely subjective, non-audiophile opinion on how they sound: 1. Hip-hop [old school, not modern (c)rap] - Bass sounds awesome, but is not over tuned. Probably wont please bass heads. 2. Classical - Cellos and Double Basses sound perfect, you can really make out the lower harmonics. Mid/high range instruments also sound clear and crisp. 3. Electronic - The low crawling bass lines of a lot of electronic music are really punchy, but again don't overpower the rest of the music. Kick drums feel like they have impact. Everything sounds clear. I've only had these a short time so I cant attest to durability, but they have a lifetime warranty so if they break I'll just buy a second pair and send these in for repair. They're under 15$ at the time of this review; I'll be happy if they last a year. They bleed sound past ~70% volume on my phone and my laptop, but I find them comfortable to listen to between 50-60% volume. I am not deaf or remotely hard of hearing, so keep that in mind. You'll probably have to bend the ear hooks to get a comfortable fit, but they're pretty easy to bend. I assume they expect you to do that, and that's why they're metal wires instead of hard plastic. I had to make the bend shallower but now they are pretty comfortable. Still way better than sticking crap inside your ears. These are the only good option at this price range for this particular type of headphone; trust me, I looked all over the place.

amazing quality
after coming from sennheiser hd600, i didn't expect much out of these. but as usual, i gave them an entire day of use before judging them, and i didn't want to take them off. you'll look like a dork outside, and you probably won't replace your daily headphones with these unless you have something worse. the star ratings i gave are different than my overall rating. i don't judge good headphones on bass response, because most "good" headphones don't have sub bass. a driver this size cannot accurately reproduce bass below 80hz, so you get none of that with ksc75. they also just don't cancel noise. these are on ear sport headphones, not iems. both these being said, these sound amazing even compared to 200 dollar headphones. they aren't quite as good as my stax 404s, but they easily beat out my hd600s, phillips shp9500, and tin audio t2 for all intents and purposes. for 15 dollars you cannot go wrong. just hit buy.

A must-have music maker, great sound and convenience.
I've owned these Koss KSC75 headphones for about 4 months, and they are the cheapest headphone in my collection. I also own MrSpeakers Aeon Flow Open, Alpha Prime and ZMF Ori. The Koss are incredibly light and the around-ear fit-piece keeps them on your ears. Even with my big ears, they seem to ''disappear'' fairly quick once they are on my head, very good comfort! I only use them for critical listening, not for jogging, gym or outdoor use; they do not have the tightest fit against the ear and I do not think they are good for highly-active use. I find they reproduce music remarkably well, the overall sound is very well balanced, neutral and inoffensive; instrument seperation and soundstage are very good. The KSC75 has quite a reputation among d.i.y enthusiasts for its ease of modding to improve the overall sound for little to no cost. There is a popular mod for these headphones called the ''KSC75 Kramer mod'', head-fi member kramer5150 introduced this mod over a decade ago. There are full guides on youtube and head-fi on performing the kramer mod, but I prefer just the simple drill mod. Start with removing the pads, then carefully prying the black plastic grill from the driver. Using a Dremel tool with 5/32'' and 1/8'' drill bits, drill holes in the areas in the attached pic. This mod improves the overall clarity and brings the sound forward, making for a more fun listening experience. Mid and treble detail improves slightly with this specific drill mod and it also seems to add weight to chugging guitars..it can be tremendously satisfying at times. The biggest change in the sound is the bass. Bass punch and extension improves slightly, reaching as low as 60-70hz in my tests, not bad for a small dynamic driver! The best thing about these little Koss are ease of use/replacement; they are under $20 and super easy to power. My other headphones need an amp to get them to acceptable volume, but these guys can be driven with anything and are great for general purpose and even gaming.

Really good headphones
I had a really great pair of pink gumy headphones (the original type that just sit in your ear, not the new style that has the rubber go into your ear) that I absolutely loved, but eventually they died. I've been bouncing back and forth between my Zune and Apple earbuds, but my ear was starting to ache a bit (I work in front of a computer and am allowed to listen to music while I work, but I also have to be mindful or calls and co-workers who may need me so I'm only allowed to have one ear occupied with music) so I wanted to get a pair like this as I figured it would be better for my ear in the long run. I've definitely gotten some crappy pairs of headphones and buds before, so I was very cautious about these, but after reading some of the reviews I decided to go for it. I'm very glad that I did as these are really a great set of headphones. The only downsides I can think of are that my ear is not used to the clip that holds the headphone on yet, so the back of my ear does ache, but it's definitely a less irritating ache than the in-ears caused. Also, since I can only wear one at a time, the other one can be a tad noticeable if I don't remember to cover it somehow. Otherwise, great headphones. Clear sound, good bass, overall great listening experience.

These are the only headphones I can wear for extended listening
I love these headphones. If Koss ever stops making them I will be heartbroken. These are the only headphones I can wear for hours at a time without a problem. I sit in front of my computer for hours at a time for my job, and I like to listen to classical music while I work. I also need to skype with my team mates occasionally. These headphones from Koss do the job admirably. No, they don't sound like 300.00 headphones, but come on - they only cost about 15 bucks! Most headphones that I have tries are too tight, or make my ears hurt, or are too heavy, yada, yada, yada. (I have a large head). I have professional headphones from Sony and from Sennheiser, and they sound awesome. But I can't wear them all day long. I have tried innumerable ear buds, but hate sticking stuff into my ears, and besides they get uncomfortable after awhile, too. These headphones are so light that I forget that I am wearing them. They also let in just enough ambient sound that if my wife calls for me, or the phone rings, etc., I can hear them. And they are so inexpensive that if one breaks or I lose a pair, it's no big deal. We usually have a few pairs in the drawer as a backup just in case. Bottom line: They are plastic, a bit cheaply made (but not too cheap, because I'm wearing a set that I use every day all day long that I got about six months ago), and they sound OK but not the greatest. But they are the most comfortable headphones I've ever worn, I can wear them for hours, and they sound good enough for background music while I work. And they only cost 15 bucks. I only wish there were a set like this that are wireless. The wireless ones by Koss in this price range suck. Don't waste your money on them.

Quality sound, Durable headphones, and Comfortable
Despite their aesthetic seeming as if it was half designed by an engineer and half by a marketing agent, practical priority versus polish priority, these headphones managed to surprise me in their quality. I burn through headphones quite rapidly in my daily life and with my research, simply by the volume of time and places in which I use them, including Seattle's rainy and windy weather (without an umbrella or hood, because I'm not a tourist), and thus far these have stood up quite well to it all, without sacrificing sound quality. My first impression was that they were a little awkward, and I was worried about them breaking or falling off, but in time they proved that neither was worthy of concern. The ear-clip piece is sturdy, and if too much pressure pulls at it it will detach from the speaker portion of the headphones, after which you can simply snap it back into place, which effectively prevents any plastic pieces from simply breaking when tugged at and ruining the headphones. The sound quality is excellent, and they have replaced my previous pair of Sony ear-clip headphones, thanks in part to their use of more sturdy wiring, which doesn't suffer from the retractable cord catch mechanisms wearing down and breaking over time, as happened with my last pair. They are quite comfortable, not placing any pressure on my ears, which allows me to wear them for any amount of time I care to without the pain that many other headphones eventually evoke. For the price bracket and headphone-type these fall into I definitely consider them one of the better options available, and well worth a try.
