Great product.
I've been putting the dental fresh in my dogs water for over a month now and the different it makes is pretty amazing. His breathe could peel paint prior and would actually make me nauseous. Vet checks showed just a bit of tartar but no reason it should be so bad. Purchased this in hopes it would help even a little and it's made a huge difference. The tartar issue has diminished 80% and his breath is no longer a room clearer! Very happy.

Really works for gum health, breath and tartar reduction!
Much better than previous products I've tried! I've been using Dental Fresh daily for about 9 months. Well, my cat has, that is. The vet and I are extremely impressed with the reduction in gum inflammation, redness, and tartar in my 16-year-old cat's mouth! I saw improvement after a couple of weeks of daily use. We really didn't want to subject my senior citizen cat to general anesthesia for a cleaning, and even though I've attempted brushing his teeth for years, and still do, we never get very far. This has made a dramatic difference in his gum health and improved his breath quite considerably! Not all cats may take to the flavor and minty smell (even though catnip is a form of mint), so for multi-cat households, I'd suggest having multiple water bowls or fountains, and start out by using this in the bowl favored by the cat who needs the most help with dental health. My other cat still hasn't particularly taken to it, and this way he always has access his "plain water" and keeps drinking, which is the most important thing, after all. But for my 16-year-old who actually prefers the bowls with the Dental Fresh added, his breath is nearly odor free! Unless he's just stolen some of my Pad Thai rice noodles and eaten them, after first "killing" them on the floor, but that's another matter altogether.

He has been drinking it like crazy and seems to like the taste
I bought a couple of the 8 ounce bottles since they were cheap add ons to give it a shot. My cat is almost 10 years old and recently his breath has been extra stinky. After battling him to inspect his mouth I noticed the gums around his back teeth were red and inflamed. I've also been battling feline acne around the sides of his mouth and on his chin for just about forever. I put the dental fresh in with his water and literally as soon as I set it down on the floor he came running and drank a bunch. He has been drinking it like crazy and seems to like the taste. He actually gets excited when I change his water now and will come running to drink it when it is fresh. Anyway 2 weeks later his breath is 100% better. There is no offensive odor even when he has his face near mine and yawns or cleans himself (used to smell so bad when he cleaned himself). His back teeth are looking a little less yellow and nasty too. The feline acne has really cleared up on his chin and is almost gone on the sides.. just a small bit is left on the sides of his mouth and seems to be quickly clearing up. This product has been a real life saver and money saver because plan b was to take him to the vet if this didn't work. He hates the vet and car rides so I'm sure he is as happy as I am about this working.. As soon as I get through these 2 bottles I'm getting him a gallon jug of this stuff.

Too Soon To Tell, But Seems Great So Far!
I have only been using this in my cat water for maybe a month. I read on other reviews that there is no smell or taste to it. I have no clue if there is a taste to it, but there DEFINITELY is a slight smell to it, at least I think there is. Almost smells like mineral water that humans drink. It is not a very strong smell, but it is still noticeable. My male Siamese cat does not seem to care and he drinks it in his water with no hesitation. Being that my male is 10 yrs old I think it is more beneficial to him right now to get any bit of oral care he can. I do notice his breath is a lot less noticeable when he yawns in my face, but still has that distinct cat food odor (as all cats do when they have dry food out all day). As I have not been using it long enough to really notice a long-term difference I definitely give it 5 stars, but so far seems like it'll be a positive thing to keep using!

Don't Waste Time With Brushes and Pastes! This One Product Is All You Need!
So when I recently got a cat, and reached out to my friends to see what I need I decided to overlook at the suggesting of getting a cat toothbrush and toothpaste set. I laughed when it was suggested, thinking this is just a ploy for pet owners to spend ridiculous amounts on pet supplies when they're not really needed. I was wrong, because cute, little Yumi's breath started kicking. Really bad. So bad it would make me want to vomit. I immediately Amazon Prime'd a toothbrush and toothpaste and proceeded to get scratched and hissed at by my little Russian Blue. She wasn't having it, and the toothpaste itself was pretty unappealing I didn't blame her. So then, I got SynergyLabs Dental Fresh for Cats, poured the recommended amount in her water bowl and VOILA! LIFE CHANGED. The clouds begin to open up, and life with Yumi had never been better. Her breath was fresh and seemed healthy within a day or two. Highly recommend, only takes a bit so the bottle lasts. Will buy another bottle again soon.

Works!!!
I was very skeptical of this. I have a little Chihuahua and her breath was so bad we did not want her sitting in our lap because it smelled like she ate a dead animal. We tried dental sticks, minty treats, brushing her teeth and nothing worked. THIS worked on day 2 we smelled nothing on her breath. She drinks it with no issues. I mix 8 oz of water with a teaspoon of this and she drinks it just like she always drinks water. I do not know how or why it works but it does!

Great for persistent funky cat breath AND poor drinking habits!
I admit it, I was skeptical of this product, but I was also desperate. My cat (who, as I have said in many other reviews, is an embarrassment to his species in terms of intelligence) has had bad breath for years because he doesn't chew dry food. Even those expensive treats meant to reduce plaque/odor go straight down the hatch, never touching a tooth. I eventually tried supplementing with wet food, which helped for a while before all sorts of oral bacteria got the memo and moved in, just making it worse. Did I mention that he's a Russian Blue mix and has those cute Siamese traits like licking EVERYTHING? So not only did the furry demon child smell like throat fungus, now so did my hands and everything in my house. "Tartar treats" didn't work. I wasn't going to brush his teeth, because I value my life. Dental Fresh was my last resort. Figuring it was worth a try, I decided to order a bottle and pray. After all, this cat grew up on stagnant rainwater; surely, at least he couldn't mind it much. The first thing I noticed was that his water was disappearing much more quickly than normal, as well as staying clean longer - no more scum and dirt in the bottom of the bowl. Cats have a notoriously low thirst drive, and he drinks so much more with the added Dental Fresh that I think the extra water is helping in and of itself. It did take a couple of weeks to get results on the odor front, but have a little patience. It's worth the wait. After almost three weeks, kitty's breath is back to a much more reasonable level, and he doesn't leave everything he licks smelling like death itself. Dental Fresh is now a staple in my house, and we're both happier for it. Thanks, SynergyLabs!

Definitely a Fan!
Use for 2 dogs, one younger one older. Vet comments on how good their teeth look considering age. Rarely notice bad breath anymore when using product semi-regularly. Haven't noticed any negative side effects. They HATE brushing and we just don't do it. For ease of use and cost vs. benefit, this is a great alternative. Our previous dogs had major dental issues by 15 or 16 years old. Even at that age this product helped with breath and visibly reduced tarter when we started using it daily. It's not a replacement for regular vet dental care, but it can sure help between cleanings. Really bad breath, redness, etc. can be a sign of infection, broken teeth, etc. and Rover can't tell you it hurts, so be sure to get an exam at least annually to help your pet and avoid expensive extractions, etc.

Makes my dog's breath smell like.... nothing at all! It's magic!
I don't typically review items, but had to write in on this one, as it's amazing. My dog's breath had gotten bad - really bad. His toys smelled, his fur was starting to smell in areas where he frequently cleaned himself, I could even smell his breath when I walked into the bedroom at night. Ick. Brushing his teeth is quite a challenge, so I was looking for other options, when I came across this. Sure, I thought, I'll give it a try, but really wasn't expecting much. Well let me tell you, this stuff is magical. I've been using it for about two weeks and the difference is incredible. It's easy to use, I just add one teaspoon to a full bowl of water around twice a day. It doesn't smell, and he doesn't seem to notice it, he drinks the same amount of water as usual. He also has a sensitive tummy, and a lot of the doggie treats make him sick, so I was worried this may have the same effect, but this sits well with him. The outcome is - his breath no longer smells! At all. And I'm pregnant, and EVERYTHING smells intensely to me right now. I will be purchasing this regularly... if only it could be added to the Subscribe & Save list of items!

I Hope This Is Good for Them, Because It Seems To Work
My Pixel kitty, who is the one who needs dental freshening, drinks her enhanced water enthusiastically. She has not had any gastric side effects from it, and her breath is definitely less offensive. I have never had a cat who would let me brush teeth, no matter how persistent I was about it and no matter how docile the cat otherwise was. Pixel will allow me a quick scrape with a fingernail and a gum massage, but forget any foreign objects. She is only two, and my hope is to prevent as many dental issues as I can. Sylph, the baby cat, lets me rub toothpaste on her teeth and gums with a bare finger, and I am hoping that she will be okay with a brush - at least a finger brush - sometime soon. Either way, if this keeps them healthy, I'm good with it,
