Wow, I really am impressed with this simple pump and it's cost. You control the speed and force of pump and it seems to be a better pull of the nipple and areola. I think breastfeeding moms who were not getting results with electric pumps should give this a try. Your hands don't get as tired as you might think. Love it because you can pause and walk around. You're not stuck hooked up to the pump and to an outlet. Also refrigerate the whole thing and come back to it later. Easy to clean. I could go on and on!

This works extremely well! Sometimes I respond better to this than my Medela Pump in Style double electric pump. It is great for using at night for quick relief if the baby is sleeping longer than usual. For those that say it looses suction, if you look at the underside of the handle, there is a little yellow piece that you can see through the clear rubber. If that yellow piece is not in alignment, then it will loose suction. Simply remove the rubber, realign the yellow piece, and pop it back into place. Your suction will be back to brand new!

Bought this after having a few days where I was away from home and should have brought my big electric pump but didn't because I was lazy. Instantly regretted it when I was so engorged and all I wanted to do was pump and had no pump. This is a lifesaver. It's small enough to throw in my diaper bag and it works great. I easily get 4 ounces every time I pump and it gets it out fast. i had to order a smaller flange but could have probably made the larger work. Easy to clean and assemble. I love the two pump options for the letdown and full force pumping. I use it more than my electric pump now because I pump the other side when my baby nurses. I used to leak around 2 ounces and would just hold a flange connected to a bottle to myself and my baby would occasionally kick and I would spill it all. This solved that problem too!! It has great suction for me and I love that I can easily hold it and pump with the swivel handle. Easy to clean and easy to use. Great investment and well worth the money to save my poor breasts from engorgment when my trips out are longer than I expected.

I love this manual breast pump. I am able to actually express my milk quicker with this pump then I am with any electric breast pump. I'm able to empty both breasts within 15 to 20 minutes. And that is with pumping 4 to 5 ounces from each breast. I love the handle as it helps to keep my hands from cramping which is nice. I found that if you don't wash the handle which has the rubber ring on it then you really don't ever have an issue with needing to replace the O-ring on it like some of the other reviewers have said . I'll just wipe the handle down with the baby wipes every once in a while.

Easy to use, easy to clean. Use compression to increase output. Stand is really helpful to make sure you don't tip bottles over. Recommend taking it to the hospital to help draw out colostrum - going to bring it to pump and spoon-feed next baby. Doesn't replace an electric pump, at least for me, but great to pump a little in a hurry or empty an un-nursed side. Can maintain suction much longer than electric pumps do. Plan to use on trips when setting up electric pump isn't feasible.

This is seriously the best thing ever. I got an electric Medela In Style pump covered by my insurance and used this for about a month. It was a hassle to bring with me and I had to buy an additional car adapter for it to pump in the car on our 3.5 hour car trips to pick up my SS. This hand pump is light, easy to take with you ANYWHERE, discrete, and quiet. It isn’t very hard to pump and I can fill a 5 ounce bottle in less than 10 minutes. I can pump in the car, under my shirt, without tubes or wire to get caught on anything. The only thing that sucks is that there is a portion of it that isn’t see-through. I always rinse mine immediately after using so milk doesn’t dry up inside of it. I also use a straw brush to clean in it.

I usually don’t write reviews online often. But this time I have to do it so all new moms can try it, I love this pump and crazy about it. From now on I’m not afraid to pump anymore. It pump so fast and does nit hurt you. I feel nothing after I pumped and I can easy to get 100 ml one side of my breast in 4mins. What!!! I asked myself why didn’t I know this before?? Lol... I have electric spectral2 at home and it usually take 10-20 mins to get 100ml each side. It’s painful and left me clogged milk ducks all the time. Thanks god im planning to travel overseas soon and was looking for manual pump that can help me on plane. That’s the reasons I know this pump, It’s small but supper strong. It’s so convenient for me that I can pump any where I want as in the car, plane... even help me sit right on my bed without moving anywhere. Thanks to Medela

I saw a bunch of negative reviews for this and I'm not sure if other users recieved defective product or what but it's perfect for what I used it for. I bought it to have something on hand for as soon as my daughter was born until I could get an electric pump and it works perfectly. I do not put it in the dishwasher just hand wash and steam between uses, I'm not sure if that is the reason why I haven't had any trouble with the o ring and suction or not but that's how I've used it and it still works (had baby end of dec. now end of feb.) I only use it occasionally for relief when I can't use my electric pump. I imagine with heavy use it would be a different story.

This is my life saver! I don’t have to be plugged in. I can quickly release built up pressure no matter where I am. Super easy to clean but make sure to clean the little flap. I missed that at first. Once you find your “sweet spot” you can let down quickly and fill up bags quickly. You can adjust the suction pressure easily with your hand. Just don’t squeeze all the way. No crazy painful suction like with my electric one. No crazy motor sounds so I can pump in peace one handed while reading a book!! I did eventually get two so that I wouldn’t loose milk on my other side during let down. Hope this helps!

I wasn't sold on getting a manual pump, but other moms told me how great this one was. I have a medela double electric pump, but still purchased this. Well at midnight one night, my electric pump stopped working! Thank God I had this. I advise any pumping moms to buy one, just in case you need to pump on the go, but also in case your electric one stops working (randomly, in the middle of the night!) or you lose electricity. I only need to pump about 7 minutes to get 2 to 3 oz. I place the Haka pump on my other breast, and it catches 2 to 3 oz in the same amount of time. Plus it's so much easier than being hooked up to my electric pump.
