We had purchased another wheel in a local pet store. Which claimed to be whisperer quiet, well our hamster loves to run while we are watching TV. The wheel was so loud we couldn't hear the TV. We ordered this wheel and can't even hear him running. last night I said to my husband that the hamster seems to be sleeping a lot tonight. Little did I know he was actually running on his wheel. I highly recommend this wheel.

I bought several wheels for my mice to try, and this was the Chosen One, so I bought four more for my aquariums. It's quiet, easy to spin, and stable enough they don't knock it over. I also like that it's baby safe, so once they're big enough to climb on it they don't have to run on bars, the solid surface is safer for their feet. I also like the rear base (that can also go into a wire cage) so there's no bar across the front so I can stick my hand in there and catch them easier.

My gerbils get endless hours of exercise on this wheel. It is quiet and works well. I would recommend putting a weight on the base so your critters do not knock it over. Mine did and they chewed the plastic that connects the wheel to the metal base. Good thing I bought an extra! I am going to buy another one so my gerbils don't have to wait in line for their turn. Overall a nice product worth the price.

I love this spinner. It is not entirely silent as you can hear slight "swooshing" when the hamster runs on it in the middle of the night but it won't wake you unless you're a light sleeper. However, because it doesn't have the gaps like a mesh wheel does, if your hammy poops while he's running like mine loves to do, you'll be woken up by the clatter of his poop bouncing around the wheel as he runs, as there aren't holes for the poop to fall through. It's hilarious. Great, safe wheel and a perfect size for a winter white hamster.

... even for our dwarf hamsters - but actually great! IF I had seen how small this size truly is - I probably would have gotten the next size up (I THINK that's 7.5", I KNOW they're $9.99) - but my 3 Russian Dwarf Hamsters actually do very well on these. They're running & running away on them right now! I was a bit nervous re: quality (seeing mixed reviews), but my 3 seem perfect. I'll update if anything changes. And, for the superior quality, at $7.49 - you can't go wrong!

We bought the Silent Spinner to replaced the wheel that originally came with the mouse cage. The original wheel was so horribly loud and squeaky. The Silent Spinner is fantastic, quality, quiet, easy to clean, and attaches nicely to the cage. Have not used the stand it comes with, but it seems to work just fine as well. Bought it three months ago and appears that it will last a very long time. The 6 1/2 inch size is perfect for our little mouse. The wheel is safe for her little mouse feet and tail too. Absolutely love this wheel and definitely recommend it!

This is greatly made and well put together, it is cheaper than it is in petstores and when having amazon prime you get free shipping so this is defiantly a deal! I bought it for my baby rats (5 and 6 weeks old). Unfortantley they were meant to be feeder rats so they still aren't sure how ti works but it is a great product. I would suggest however if you are buying this for young rats to go ahead and get the 12 inch size. It's HUGE compared to a 5-6 week old rat BUT they grow quickly and will grow into the bigger wheel. I still leave this one in their cage but I'm getting ready to start using the bigger one especially now that they're about 9 and 10 weeks old and this makes them arch their backs more than I'd like (if they would use it hahaha). Also if you want an animal to start using this I was told you can put a tiny bit of yogurt at the top of the inside of the wheel and let them get it by spinning the wheel and that'll slowly get them use to using it.

No complaints, and the hamster really seems to like it! [Update: It does get noisy eventually.] PRICE, QUALITY, PRICE FOR QUALITY: Good quality, appropriate price (on Amazon). I dunno what's the reviews saying the yellow thingie falls off; mine is fine and it's been weeks. I'm using it on the ground with the stand. SIZE: I heard the next size down was too small for roborovoskis except for babies, so I bought this one. It seems comfortable and spacious for my adult female roborovski, but not so big that I feel like I went TOO big. I'm happy that she has more running room (side to side) and that it's a flatter run for her (rather than her having to arch her back). GETTING DIRTY: Yes, you have to wash the urine & feces off of it from time to time, but why have a pet if you aren't willing to take care of it? This wheel is probably much safer and much more comfortable for their little feet than a wire one that the urine & feces can drop through, so, that's just how it goes. Suck it up for the sake of your hamster (and your ears). Besides, I don't see why wire wheels would need to be cleaned any less often (even if the need to do so isn't as immediately visually obvious) but, sadly, I bet a lot of people go weeks or months letting them get all nasty. That's a problem with the OWNER, not with plastic vs. metal wheels... NOISE: It's not utterly silent (duh), but it's so quiet that I generally don't realize that she's using it unless I look and see it. When you're lying in bed and thinking about it, sure, you can hear it a bit, but I was going insane from the previous wheel (even with olive oil on it), whereas now I never even think about it, ever. Her scritching and scratching about the cage is distracting for me, some nights, but never the wheel. [Update: Yeah, it gets noisy eventually, and now I'm back to needing earplugs. Took a few months though, not weeks.] Recommended! It's also attractive. I'm glad mine turned out to be purple :)

I bought this product for my Hampster because she outgrew her other one. I bought a different large wheel prior to buying this specific product. The reason I had to then buy this product after I already bout a large wheel is because of how crappy the other wheel was it was wobbly and loud. My hapster looked like as hard as she tried she couldn' t go fast on it because of how wobbly it was. So i then again began my search for another wheel and might I add they aren't cheap! I love my hampster and wanted her to have the best so I bought this you spending a little more money but your paying for the quality of the wheel trust me dont try to save your money cause you'll end up buying this in the end anyways. I wish i would have known ahead of time i can't leave a bad review for the other one cause i bought it in the store. I want to say this wheel was worth the money it's quiet, safe, and very well made. I took mine off the stand and clamped it in the cage, it still works great!
