Bought this along with any other item claiming to improve the condition of my nails. So far it's the best product I've used! Nails were peeling very bad as well as chipping. Using this cream I have not had these problems in a month and my nails look healthier especially in the cuticle area. The salon owner when getting a manicure noticed the improvement right away and was impressed. I have very dry feet and this has eliminated that problem! Great price and product, definitely the best I've used! Highly recommend!!

Best product EVER for peeling or weak nails!

When I first discovered the ingredients in this product, I was told its virtues were 'discovered' when someone noticed that the product used by stable workers to massage horse hooves after a workout or a re-shoeing had very extraordinarily strong finger nails. I don't care if the story is true, because this stuff WORKS! I had not been using gloves for dishwashing or for quick gardening tasks, and my fingernails were suffering--lots of peeling, cracking, etc. I've been applying Healthy Hoof for a few months now, and I notice the difference--where before I could put a fingernail into a crease in a nail, and peel off the layer like that of an onion, now they have disappeared. Other brands are available, but they offer only small jars of this stuff. Gena Labs started making this size, and I'm in heaven. My routine is to put on a layer of strong topcoat (clear polish), wait for my hands to dry, then massage my fingernails for a few minutes with the area.. Then, I cover my hands with disposable kitchen gloves for an hour or so, to be sure it is absorbed. I replace the top coat about once a week, but use the cream twice a day, not always with gloves. If you have this problem (especially during the very long pregnancy, post pregnancy or post-menopausal periods of life) this stuff is for you! You won't regret it. I'll post a picture of my nails after I get a professional manicure.

I love this stuff! My nails used to split, my cuticles were always ragged and no lotion could solve my dry hands. Healthy Hoof worked a miracle for me. Every night I massage it into my nails AND hands. It's so amazing, I gave it to friends to try. It doesn't leave grease marks on my sheets either. The smell is strong--kind of like weedy flowers. But after you see what it does for you, the smell becomes pleasant.

It took a couple months for it to work, but this stuff really DOES work. I had huge problem nails. They were brittle, thin, and would peel in multiple places and do all sorts of crazy things. I'm a waitress and wash my hands basically every time I walk into the kitchen. The soap and sanitizer we use wreaks havoc on my nails. I began applying this cream every night before bed a few months ago. It took some time to work, but the difference is incredible. My nails still get a little peel on them when they get a bit longer, but the fact that they actually grow past my fingertips is amazing. This may be normal for the torture they go through and the fact that I use no polish or other products. They are so thick that it's difficult to cut them. That's great! Before, my nails would basically just flop off. I tried all sorts of creams and clear polishes and things for years. Nothing works like this stuff. It's incredible.

My First Winter w/o Split or Broken Fingernails

I was hopeful, but skeptical, but this product has exceeded my expectation. For at least 10 years, during winter, the ends of my fingernails would split or break. I thought it might be diminished vitamin D, so I supplemented with no success. I took "hair & fingernail" supplements - again, no success. After the first use of Hoof Cream, I would swear that I could see some kind of "difference" in my nails, but decided it was my imagination. But now, for the first time in many years I haven't had the splitting/breaking problem, except one small split on the fingernail that is always the weakest, and that was because the product works so well I had begun to forget to use it daily, or at least every couple of days. Highly recommended for the problem I've described.

So Far So Awesome

Been using a different product for years that is sold at retail stores, however, since they changed their formula it no longer works as well. Neither did some others I have tried since. Took a chance on this product and Love it so far...Used it for the first time yesterday and this morning my cuticles are still soft. With All the others they were dry again within only hours of using it. I will use it daily as recommended and hope it continues to perform without making my nails too soft. (hard to get on just the cuticles so I use this type of product for my dry nails that split and crack too).

Nails and cuticles have never felt and looked better!

I've been using this for about 3 weeks now, and I've noticed a significant difference! Even though I try to take good care of my nails and cuticles, especially as someone who does their nails several times a week (post swatches and nail art on Instagram regularly), I was still getting breaks and they didn't feel very strong. The weather was also messing with my cuticles. After just 3 weeks my cuticles have never looked better and my nails feel stronger! No major breaks and they don't bend as easily. The earthy smell doesn't bother me (I actually kind of like it), and it doesn't feel greasy (just remember that a LITTLE goes a long way). I've simply added it to my bed time and after shower routine. I'll try to remember to post another update in a couple more weeks.

This stuff is wondrous!

This stuff is wondrous! I have been using only for a week or so AND I can't believe I am already seeing results. I was very skeptical, thinking one more "miracle product" that won't do much for me but the price was right so I thought what the heck I will try it and if anything I would use as a hand/feet cream...BUT to my surprise, this is a MIRACLE CREAM that actually WORKS. I have very weak, stressed nails by having acrylic nails for years. Every time I would try to take acrylics off I was unable to grow my own nails. They would be so thin and peel to no end and would only get too short that would simply hurt. This cream in just a week has strengthened my nails beyond what I could ever hope for. I have been using few times during a day and before going to bed. I noticed that it works way better when I have NOTHING else on my nails (like other products or nail polish), this way the cream has direct contact with my nails. It is also very nice hand cream as it is NOT greasy at all and a little bit of it goes a long way with a very mild botanic smell. UPDATE: I have added pictures to show a 1-month result. Furthermore, my nails not just "recovered" and look healthy but they've really strengthened, I actually never had strong nails so this is totally new to me and I LOVE IT!

Really Works

You know.... I read these reviews and thought, the price is not high so I will try it. The difference in my nails and cuticles is amazing. Let me say my nails are not brittle or thin, I don't use acrylics but instead try my hardest to keep them healthy, drink water, eat well and take daily supplements including folic acid and biotin. Lately though, my nails were bending and breaking at the corners (I file and wear them square). With all these changes in my body recently, I figured, I'd really fight this nice "getting older" surprise. HOWEVER, after about a week or two of using this on my nails and cuticles the difference is pronounced. My nails have become very strong and healthy. My cuticles look beautiful, no hang nails or dryness. I am thoroughly impressed with this product and the ease and convenience of use. I recommend it to everyone and no I didn't get anything for free or at a discount. I'm a real everyday consumer, living in the great cold-muggy-rainy lands of VA/DC (born & raised in CA). I am not one of these professional "comment writers" that seem to have invaded and corrupted the whole CUSTOMER feedback system and ruined the intent and purpose behind it ... :)... sorry off my soap box...just so irritating. Bottom line, try it. You will not be disappointed because the product does what it says it will do.

Amazing

This stuff is amazing. I have been using it twice a day for a month. It has strengthened my nails beyond what I could ever hope for. I have always had weak thin nails that peel. No longer! I also had a case of hand eczema from frequent hand washing that I have tried to get rid of for the last year, with no luck. It is now completely gone. The best part is what it has done for my feet. After a summer of sandals it has helped me get rid of the rough patches, calluses and cracks that were beginning to form. Also the scent is not overpowering or medicinal at all. This is the best stuff ever, especially for the price.
