For the price of this stand, I expected a little cheaper made product. Boy was I impressed!!!! This product came to me in perfect condition, and makes my other cymbal stands look cheap. I may have to replace them just so my drum set does not look bad. Quality everything! And for the cost . . . I don't know how they sell such a good quality stand at this price, but I am glad they do. Thanks DW! John Coeur d'Alene, Idaho

I had played drums for over 30 years for countless musical groups until giving it up a few years ago for health reasons. Now, with twin granddaughters I have reclamated my old Tama's from the attic for the purpose of teaching the ladies how to play the drums. Problem: Everything was still there except for my ride cymbal stand. AMAZON COMES THROUGH AGAIN! For the amount I had to spend I was able to purchase the perfect cymbal stand to complete my "antique" drum set. My ladies are happy and granddad is happy. I would recommend my Pacific boom cymbal stand to current professional percussionists and retired one's as well! Excellent quality and flexibility!

For the money cant go wrong. Very durable, flexible, stable, great finish. Very professional looking. I mounted a 20'' Ride Cymbal on this, and all you do is adjust the legs for better balance, had a splash cymbal on it so legs werent opened up all the way. Amazing product for sure.

I really like these cymbal stands. I am replacing two PDP 700 series boom cymbal with these 800 series ones, because they are heavier, more stable and extend further out and higher up than the 700 series ones.

Nice cymbal stand. I set it up and it appeared to be a STRAIGHT stand instead of the BOOM stand that I ordered. I'm glad I didn't return it. While setting it up I found the boom! It slides into the center of the stand so it can be used as a STRAIGHT or BOOM stand. Duh! I'm a new drummer so maybe this is common. My other cymbal stands do not have this feature. The DW 800 has part numbers for straight stand and boom stand. I don't know why anyone would buy the straight when the boom model actually does both. I tend to make simple things confusing. This is probably another example. Love the stand, love the 2-in-1 feature. They should advertise it on the box. Another reviewer returned his because he ordered a boom stand and received a straight stand. Now I wonder if he got a boom stand and didn't realize it.

They're asking around $85 at my local music store for this stand. Not that I blame them, this is a very nice stand. It is very sturdy and because of the boom rod and articulation points I can place it anywhere in my kit with just a few adjustments. This price is a steal for such a high quality stand. I highly recommend it!

This is a really nice stand, especially for the price. The boom is shipped inside the extension so you have to check it out but it's in there! Would recommend this for anyone looking for a boom cymbal stand. Appears to be very well made.

What I ordered and what I received were two different things. There was no boom with this stand and only the ability to tilt the cymbal. Going to send it back and may update this review if they get it right! Update: well they replaced my order and now I can really rate this stand. This is a very good stand. One other reviewer, I am not sure if it was for this stand or another, stated when you place the stand with your drum set, to place one leg toward you in the direction you will hit the cymbal. Makes sense. The larger the cymbal the more probability it could tip. I will be putting on a 20" ride cymbal and see how well it works. Keep tuned for more.

I bought 2 of these after I bought heavier crash cymbals. They are great for the price. Still a little twisty if I mount my 12" tom to the stand. I have also out my heavy ride on these with the booms extended and they are solid. I bought a heavy pearl equivalent prior to these... And I feel these stands are better than the pearl (930 series). I like that the boom will slide into the to tube so it will work as a straight stand also. I gig out about 3 times a month, and these have held up great.

This is some great, relatively cheap hardware for your kit. It has more adjustments than I was expecting and is nice and solid no matter what pieces I load on it. I tested it by adjusting the arms to the most extreme angles possible with my large ride and I could not get it to tip easily. I bought two more once this one came to hold an 18 inch crash and a china.
