I returned this one as it was an Amazon Warehouse offering that was not in like new condition as described. I do have a Nighthawk bought in new condition and it is one of the finest modern pilot watches available with a great size just over 40mm and a comfortable bracelet with wonderful brushed finish to match the finish on the case. Being a light powered eco drive model is an added bonus to go along with 200M water resistance. It is a favorite in my collection which is why I ordered a second one in like new condition from the Warehouse. Had it been like new as described I would have added it to my collection and replaced the bracelet with a nice Nato strap for a different look.

I've had the watch for a while now and I have to say, it's a beautiful watch with an extremely great design. The watch's dual 24hour hand is lovely with the planes as markers. The inner bezel is accurate and can be seen very well since the lines would line straight up with the outer ring. Lumes were beautifully lit and the band is extremely well done. I know there are tons of review out there about this watch, and I gotta say you can't go wrong with this if you like aviator watches and know how to use the slide rule.

This watch is a great value for not a lot of money. This watch is a classic and it's no surprise that timepiece lovers collect the numerous versions of the Nighthawk. Perhaps the only flaw is that citizen opted to use a mineral crystal instead of a sapphire crystal, but the price would certainly go up if they had used the latter. This watch can style together with a variety of watch bands. Look for a spring bar removal tool and bands with 22mm lug width to get creative. I found the link pins difficult to remove, but thats not a frequent job you would perform. If you're looking for an affordable, reliable and accurate daily driver watch that can look good with a suit or while you're dressed casually, look no further.

Very nice watch. It offers several nice features, durability, style and value. It has a classic aviator look, but offers excellent modern conveniences, namely the solar Eco-Drive movement. The physical design is robust but not clunky, with the right balance of weight and size. It wears larger than its 42mm case width would suggest, yet it's not overstated or conspicuous. Plus it has the added peace of mind of a 200-meter water resistance rating, which although not really a typical aviator watch feature is still a welcome bit of extra performance. The bracelet is very well made, easily adjusted, comfortable and great looking. My lone complaint is that there is a very slight amount of play in the linkage between the crown and hands, which makes setting the minute hand EXACTLY on the minute marker a little challenging. This isn't a deal breaker and with patience, you can set the minute hand precisely. But beyond that, I have found no issues. All together, the Citizen Nighthawk is a well-proven aviator watch that will serve you well.

I got this watch in Feb 2014. Now is November 2017. I like it, it's unique. Pros: In this 3 years it never stoped running. Im using the 24h dial as a secondary time zone. The watch look awesome. Cons: Some scratches on the dial (because of the mineral glass. Saphire crystal would be better), but its normal for an everyday carry.

I bought this watch because it checked off a lot of things that were important to me. One is that is had to look good enough to wear just about anywhere. It is a nice watch and I wear it to the office, or outdoors, in jeans, in slacks, or anywhere really. It is not nice enough to go with a suite but I'm sure someone will try and pull it off. I can't do that though, but I will say if you like to swap bands out, put this on an olive colored NATO strap and it looks the business. It's most important feature to me was that the watch case never has to be opened. (Because once its opened, whatever water resistence rating it had can be thrown out the window) This personal requirement of mine meant a Solar Watch, Kinetic, or some type of automatic. I choose solar because it is a quartz movement, and quartz is very accurate, this watch is no exception. The band is comes with works, though men who are more accustomed to high end watches/bands will probably find something wrong with it. Blue collar me finds it acceptable as it is functional and looks very masculine. The bezel looks a lot more complicated than it really is. Just read the instruction manual and understand it is a logarithmic system. I like this better than my Apple watch because it doesn't need to be charged everyday, its more robust, more masculine looking, and has better water resistance.

I had been wearing a Tag for years and frankly got tired of needing a battery every two years and paying 30 bucks a pop. I saw this on sale for Fathers Day and my jaw dropped when I saw the price. A 500 dollar watch for 160 dollars? SOLD. It works great and no batteries to buy ever. Great watch by a great company!

Great looking and functional aviator watch. Slide rule is very useful once you understand how to use it. Instructions do come with the watch. The dial looks a little busy at first, but it soon becomes easy to read at a quick glance. You can also use the 24 hour indicator as a second time zone if you wish. Lume is great. The hands and markers glow in a nice bluish colour that's legible all night long. The case is solidly built and the bracelet quality is outstanding, rivaling that of more expensive watches. It fits perfectly and comfortably on my wrist after sizing the bracelet. I owned a Citizen watch years ago, but this is my first Eco-Drive watch and I find the watch's accuracy is what you'd expect from a quality quartz timepiece.I even noticed that the second hand aligns perfectly with the minute markers on the dial. The best part about this watch, for me, is it does not require you to change the battery like other quartz watches making the Citizen Nighthawk virtually maintenance free. For me it's the perfect grab and go watch.

This watch is fantastic, I'm very pleased that I finally just purchased it and didn't wait any longer. This is brand new and a legitimate Citizen watch that came in the new plastic box packaging. I also like the new box as opposed to the previous version; it's almost like a small Pelican case. Personally I do not like metal bands on my watches, so immediately replaced the factory band with a green NATO style band. *Two things to note: The lug width is 22mm and any NATO band thicker than 1.5mm will NOT fit between the case of the watch and pins for the band. I have uploaded a few pictures and you can judge for yourself but I am extremely pleased with my purchase. Quality is top notch, it looks "busy" on-line but once it's on your wrist you won't have any issues picking out the time indicators. Highly recommended!

I bought this watch back in 2015 when it was considerably more expensive, and returned it for a couple of silly reasons. I convinced myself I needed a $500 ProTrek watch that had electronic backlighting and atomic timekeeping. Now I pass by this gem in jewelry stores and miss it very much. It's beautiful, and I don't even wear the ProTrek anymore. Great size, even for my smaller than average wrists. Considering buying it again. I was only concerned with telling the time in a dark cockpit, and that really doesn't matter. The planes I fly all have digital clocks in them anyway. I really regret returning this item. You should pick it up if you're considering it, it's a lovely watch with really cool dual 24/12 hour timekeeping.
