CUSTOMER SERVICE FANTASTIC!

This is more for Amazons Customer Service, Bought this battery (in fact bought 3) at a great price from Amazon itself 2 yrs ago and it had worked great, but recently would not hold a charge. (seems to be a common problem around 2 yrs). Got concerned about the warranty as reading other reviews, that neither amazon nor optima would warranty a failed battery. Got it tested at an optima dealer and called Amazon cust service as directed in the warranty & support paragraph of the listing. It was absolutely no problem and a replacement is on the way. The rep even tried to expedite shipping but it could only go ground. I couldn't ask for more than that. I always buy from sold and shipped by amazon if possible.

I'm and Optima Lifer

I'm on my 3rd Optima. My first Optima, bought in the early 2000s, lasted through 8 years and 3 vehicles. I currently have an Optima in both my vehicles, and they are running strong. The only time that I had any issue with an Optima battery is when my battery tender came unplugged during the winter. Although this was my fault, Optima still covered it under their warranty and shipped me a new one. I highly recommend this battery for its reliability, longevity, and the Optima brand's customer service.

Installed a pair of these in my Cummins diesel. So far these batteries have solved all electrical problems. Previous Interstate wet cell battery was self discharging on one battery and the other was marginal in maintaining 12 volts. I hope the Optima battery will resist vibration better than standard flooded cell design.

Most awesome car battery ever. Anyone that has ever owned an Optima knows this all too well. My previous Red Top last 7 years and 4 alternators...yeah i know, as for the alternators: 1 drowned, no clue why its that low on the engine. The others were Napa Alternators (with lifetime replacement); 1 sent bad codes to computer and the other 2 croaked. And having an alternator go out, that Red Top got me home every time. So, if you are concerned about buying an item like this on Amazon, don't be. I buy lots of things on Amazon and i still talked to a rep on Amazon for a long time making sure this was a NEW item, full warranty included. Locally the best i could find price was $201; Amazon shattered that price. Optima warranties their battery for 36 months and if anything happens in that time period, find a local Optima supplier and take it to them. Showing date of purchase, it's about the battery, not where you got it. Amazon takes care of you for the first 30 days, so i was convinced. And with Prime, i ordered it Sunday afternoon and had it in my Jeep Tuesday night!

Super fast delivery and with good build quality. Come with 77% of battery left and now is charging. Preparing to install it to my RV. after one and half years use (connecting with a 5w solar panel and a solar charger controller), the battery dead. the battery is still able to be charged by a Black Deckor 15A battery charger but not able to hold the charge (still have cranking capability after tested with an electric battery tester). after contacting with optima, they are not able to honor the warranty (the technical said the one of the cell of the batter might dead) but i have to consult with the original re-seller which is Amazon. After calling Amazon, they can send me a replacement or a full refund. i choices a refund then to get another one from costco coz I do not want to wait. the price i purchased in the past is about 80 dollars cheaper then current price. so, i think that i got a very good deal in the past. basically, i like Optima and I like Amazon! The one fails may just because the discharging speed of the battery itself is bigger then the charging rate i provided from a tiny 5w solar panel.. i bought a 40w bendable solar panel instead. hope this time works!

superior service from amazon for warrant claim

i bought a optima battery approx 2.5 years ago. this past week i tried starting my mustang and nothing. voltage showed 10.57 volts. after charging it only went up to 11.5 volts. about the only thing that would work in the car was the dome light. headlight or horn wouldn't work. isince amazon had a 3 year warranty, called it was sunday so the rep said she will call optima and get back to me monday.she did and she got me a new battery shipped in 2 days. VERY HAPPY!!! THANKS AMAZON FOR TAKING CARE OF YOU CUSTOMERS. THANKS, STEVE N

Premium Battery at a Great Price

Great battery. I used the optima website to make sure it was the right battery for my 1991 extended cab 4x4 GMC pickup with 5.7L engine. It was one of the ones that was supposed to fit. When it came it was easy to install in my truck...fit great. It comes with several external brackets to use to secure the battery to your vehicle and one fit my truck perfectly. I am no mechanic... but this was very easy to install with a couple of basic tools. It starts the truck very well in cold weather this winter and appears to be a premium quality battery. I checked online and made some calls to local stores and the same battery at the local Auto Parts store was $70 more (and with high taxes on top of that), so this premium battery came in at about the same as the lowest price "cut-rate" batteries available locally. Ordered and had it in hand 2 days later with no running around to local stores.

Battery was not too tall Fit Correctly But Don't Think ...

Battery was not too tall Fit Correctly on my 2005 Chevy Silverado But Don't Think for a minute the Battery Hold Down will safely secure the battery I had to Add A Cross Bar and Drill A small hole so I ended up using a Long J bolt to hold the Battery securely . Also Don't forget the electrical Grease so the old Battery Acid does not continue to eat away at the new battery post I cleaned the cables first with baking soda and water then Applied liberally The Grease to the Post and left some on the cable just incase acid got under the post and into the cable. The Optima Is A dry Cell Battery but always a good Idea to clean the post regardless.

Got my jeep revving again.

Put this in my 1999 Jeep TJ and she starts like a champ now. I did like that the battery came with a lot of adapters to make it fit into different car battery wells. Mine fine without an adapter, but for the price, it is nice to see they pay attention to details. It is a bit early to discuss longevity as I just put it in last month.

Excellent Choice at half the price of Autozone

My aftermarket stereo and speakers kept drawing on the battery and dimming the headlights. Since installing this battery in my truck I have eliminated all electrical issues. Side terminals also make hookup for extra devices a breeze. Not to mention I have never needed a jump despite having starting issues, the battery turns over all day without power while I diagnosed the engine. Sidenote: Chemichals and explosive laws prevent this battery from being air mailed... if you live on the east coast expect delivery to take a week minimum.
