::::::::UPDATE NUMBER THREE ( and the last one i promise ):::::: so after I received the last set of coins that were significantly less tarnished than my first two sets i ordered two more sets since the price was low. AND WOW!!!!! i'm glad i did because these two sets are IMMACULATE! There is no tarnishing and the packaging is worlds better! it came in a plastic case with a plastic protective cover on the coins and a protective plastic film on the underside of all of the coins! the condition of the coins themselves is just out of this world! they are the shiniest coins ever with not blemishes or anything at all! they are perfect!! i figured out why there was so much inconsistency with the condition of the coins. this last order was sold by the noble collection the other sellers with the tarnished coins and bad packaging were sold by FFB Direct, and the worst set was sold by The Go-To Store. so if you buy these coins make sure the seller is the Noble collection. i posted new pictures of the packaging from the noble collection and how shiny the sickle looks! :::: UPDATE NUMBER 2 :::: So I saw that this product went from $21 to $17 and then to $15. So i decided to buy another set for kicks. to my surprise this set that came is in beautiful condition ! the sickle still has a TINY bit of tarnish on one side but its barely noticeable. I am extremely happy with this set of coins. buying this product is pretty much hit or miss. ::UPDATE :: I ordered new coins after returning the first set and I was disappointed again. Thankfully the case was actually new this time and the galleon was super shiny and perfect on both sides! The Knut was in much better shape than the first one I received but this one still has the rusting on he sides. It's the sickle that disappointed again, although one side is completely perfect the other side is cloudy and this time it's just the entire face of the coin. I don't understand why this keeps happening. I uploaded new pictures holding the second sickle that I received. You can see that the side with the dragon easily shows my reflection while the wizard side is completely matte and cloudy . What's going on amazon!? :Original post: I'm heartbroken. I was really looking forward to these coins. I saw some previous reviews stating that some coins were chipped or scratched but i didn't think i would have such bad luck . A little scratch or a little chip wouldn't bother me as much as the major discoloration and rusting my coins have. The sickle is completely dull on both sides and has a cloudy tarnish over the face of it that wont go away. One side of the galleon is perfectly shiny but the other side also has some splotchy cloudiness around the edges and a little on the middle. The wizard on the knut is completely scraped and you can see the bronze coloring scrapped off too, the edges of the knut are completely rusted and scraped like someone dragged the edge along a concrete pavement. The back of the case has a few scrapes and it looks like someone ran a black sharpie over them to hide the marks. The part of the galleon that is shiny looks beautiful and all of the coins have a very good thickness and weight to them. the little box that it comes in is also very nice. I will be returning this set and reordering another crossing my fingers that they send me one in better shape. Over all I'm disappointed with amazon for marking this item as "new" when it is CLEARLY used and defective.

I have so many of Noble Collection's Harry Potter merchandise it's almost crazy. Every one of their products, including this one, are true master replicas. They look great, just like the movies. A lot of the time, their products are smaller than the picture makes them appear, but they're still great replicas. Every detail on the coins is perfect, they are heavy metal, not cheap plastic. The case opens on hinges so you can take the coins out and flip them to the other side. It's not meant to be hung on a wall, it's a display case.

Beautiful coin set, perfect for any Harry Potter fan. It came in a nice case with a glass display window. The coins are sitting in soft black foam and the bottom of the case has non-sliding pads so you can put it in a display case without having it slide around. I was surprised by how big and heavy the galleon was. These coins have been on my wishlist for a long time! When I added them, the cost was around $28...it has been hovering around $18 for a few months now and I think that is a much better price. I wouldn't pay more than $20 for it. If your coins are smudged or faded as some reviewers have mentioned, send them back for an exchange or refund. Mine were all very shiny (except the Knut, which is more matte-I believe on purpose). I'm including a picture next to a US quarter for size reference.

was concerned about buying these because of some negative reviews, tarnished coins and such. mine arrived looking great. both sides of the coins were clean and shiny. the display box had a inner plastic shield that holds the coins in place during shipping . and the box had a clear plastic outer box that had a sticker that said new on it.which I thought a bit strange ,aren't they all new?but in any case Im happy with purchase.I purchased from Noble collection

I saw some reviews that weren't so great, so I made sure to have the purchase from Amazon and not a third party. The coins were in excellent condition and my boyfriend loved the gift. I'm considering buying a set for myself! They feel heavy and metal (not plastic or toy feeling) and it looks like, with light wear, they shouldn't tarnish. It's a good buy. The case could've been better, but that wasn't my main focus with this purchase. It is useful for its intended purpose .

I purchased this set as a gift for my girlfriend, who is a huge Harry Potter fan. The display box is decent, you wouldn't necessarily need to display them in anything else. The coins themselves are very high quality, thick and heavy. They feel exactly how I would imagine they should, and are good sized. This is an excellent gift for a die hard fan or a collector. I made a kind of theme gift with these, a plush snow owl, and an acceptance letter and supply list from Hogworts to complete it, all of it I ordered through Amazon. She loved it!

Bought this for my birthday and was very happy with it. It was cheaper than it would have cost me at Wizarding World Harry Potter, which is where I was when I purchased this. Still Nobel Collection and was the one I wanted. I thought they would be bigger but absolutely love them. Great to display with the rest of my items.

These are actually quite weighty coins! Feels very durable and high quality. Very shiny and has that nice coin sound when dropped. Pretty much like real coins. Nice packaging case; ready to be displayed! The only downside is the case actually doesn’t have any sort of locking mechanism. A clasp. Or even just magnets to hold the case shut. So the thing easily swings open so be careful when moving it if you don’t want the coins flying out.

Bought these as a gift for my brothers girlfriend. She’s recently really into Harry Potter and doesn’t have a lot of memorabilia. These are a nice, solid weight and feel like real coins. The images are spot on and the packaging they come in displays them very nicely and doesn’t let them slide around inside.

I received these in good shape, no issues like other reviewers. The coins feel like real currency with a nice weight. They sell the same item in "The Making of Harry Potter" and "platform 9 3/4" in and around London but are MUCH cheaper.
