Cute stamps, ink might bleed

It was shipped at Christmas time, but still in time to be wrapped and put under the tree. It came in a little wooden box, with plastic over the top that is to be thrown away, not used for storage. This means there is no cover to keep the stamps inside the box when little hands are moving it around. The stamps themselves are super cute! However the ink pad colors quickly bled into one another after a few uses. Now I am not sure if this is due to my 5 year old not being careful enough, or poor quality. With a Melissa and Doug product I'm hoping it's just my child. I think separate ink pads for different colors would be better for young children. All around was happy with the product.

Great value!

Great value for a child's first stamping kit. The ink pad works well, it all fits nicely into the little wood box, and you get a nice variety of animals. One thing that's hard to tell from the picture: the stamps are actually pretty tall, so they're easy for a kid to grasp (my two-year-old has no issues.) You can't go wrong!

Stamps are fun!

I bought these for my daughter, since she loves stamps. She loves using them! She can sit at it for hours. The pictures in the stamps are really clear, and the ink is very moist, so the stamp come out great on paper. Definitely worth the price.

The stsmps are smaller than what i expected but they are cute and show up very well. My daughter is still a little too young to do it right (2 years old) so ill probably put these aside for a little while.

Fun and cute

So fun. My boys (almost 3 years old) love stamping. They figured it out on their own and really enjoy making stamps of "amimals" they love. Great colors (that surprisingly mix well together... I need to refrain from my need to keep colors separate and let them enjoy making a mess). Fun fun. The stamps are smaller than I expected (like 3/4" height per animal), but the detail is there.

great birthday gift

This is a great gift for a child that enjoys being creative. Or for those days when you are stuck inside and you don't want them on the tv all day. For the price you are getting a very good deal. The project works best on light colored paper but you can use glue on the stamps with glitter for another design. Just be sure to clean the stamps well between use.

Kids Loved it, But Ink Was Gone Quickly

I purchased this for my then 2 1/2 year- old grandson. I made the mistake of not watching while he and his 4 year-old brother were playing on their play table. Next thing I knew the ink was gone. Probably my fault for not watching more closely, but it was still amazing they could use it up so fast. I've purchased many other Melissa & Doug toys, including previous wooden stamps and they lasted longer, but considering the circumstances I will still give it 5 stars.

Fun!

I bought these for my five year old as a part of his fine motor skill therapy supplement that we do at home and he loves them! The ink washes off easily, the little box is sturdy, and the stamps themselves make images that are dime sized. He has already filled up heaps of pages of printer paper full of stamps. The handles on the stamps are easy to grip, and are not too big or little for his hands. The stamp is rubber, so it's easily wiped up for storage. The ink pad came loaded with four different colors of ink, which he immediately set to blending to make his own colors. I will be purchasing more of Melissa & Doug stamps, a great value and fantastic quality.
