Ok wife in remission of Lung Cancer. Has 3 compression fractures. Doctors vary why. Chemo,radiation,RA Fibro,..name them all..she has it. Biggest problem was getting to bathroom. Getting up and down to seat..Pain..pain..Had the 3inch higher then seat.. It was better..For $20.00 took the chance with 5"..Glad I did . So happy she doesn't have to bend all the way down to sit or get up. She loves it, I love it. The 3"had an opening in the front for females?? and was loose on the bowl but no problem. This has rubber on the bottom that fits tight. I would take it off myself to P..but realized,I dont have to..Good aim helps. Feels like I am looking down at a porter potty..Easy to clean if getting dirty. Spray down and use toilet brush..1 min cleaning..Hey she's happy..Iam happy

Great seat boaster for getting up from the John.

Had a total knee replacement. The added height made it much easier to get up from the toilet as you don't have to bend your knee as much getting up from the john. Well made. I weigh 240#. I had no problem with it crushing.

PERFECT for elongated toilets!!

After reading many product reviews from loyal Amazon customers, I am VERY HAPPY that I chose this seat. I've been using this seat for about a week, but I'm so pleased with it that I wanted other buyers to know about the positive qualities. I have an elongated toilet seat and was hesitant to order any raised seat. I believe the description states it fit INTO the toilet. I had a hard time picturing this, but it is designed so that the seat sits on the toilet bowl and part of it extends INTO the bowl. This makes it more secure. I use it carefully, but I have not had any episodes of the seat sliding. I HIGHLY recommend this for an elongated toilet seat!! It makes life VERY easy on the knees!!

Good and sturdy

I purchased the product because I was having back surgery. It is good quality, very sturdy. Haven't had any issues with it. Fits my toilet well, limited slip. I didn't realize how tall it really was, however, I am very happy with the height of this product. It has made it easy for me to take care of business with limited bending involved when sitting down. I have recommended this product to a friend of mine who has an upcoming back surgery. This product has helped me immensely since having back surgery, highly recommend it especially if you're tall.

THE BEST! HIGHLY RECOMMEND

The BEST out there! Got left behind recently when I moved and in the last month I tried two other brands. One was too small, and slipped around dangerously on the toilet seat. The other was rounded on top and caused my legs to go numb. Couldn't wait to go back to Carex, by far the best. My new one arrived today, and I am so happy!

Bad knee saver.

This is easy to put on the toilet, just lift the lid & seat & plunk it down! I use it on an elongated toilet, fits loose but feels secure.I'm so glad I bought it, finally had my total knee replacement last week & boy am I glad I have it. I have even taken to hotels!

The Human Body does not discriminates, you can eat either a Lobster or a raw vulture and the same color pattern will be manifested (usually brown). No intake no outtake, no outtake no intake = Dissolution of the Human Body it can no longer support life. Let's open our narrow views and understand life as it is. The new generations depend in our example, no lies, raw truth shall be pronounced in order to dwell in "The Kingdom of the Wise". Where I should dwell. With all my Love to the entire Human kind. Love this toilet seat raiser!

I have been using this toilet seat raiser since 2009. after my knee replacement. When I had the other knee done a year later, I was so happy I had the seat. I actually bought two more back then so I can bring one with me when I travel and one just as a back up in case one gets too worn down. In all the years of using them, especially the one I use daily in my main bathroom, there is no wear and tear! They are very sturdy and very comfortable to sit on. The seat is ample in width for bigger hipped folk. I personally like that there are no rails so I don't feel squished on my sides. I love how easy it is to remove and clean. Because of its size, I choose to clean it in my utility laundry sink as my bathroom sink is too small. Like any toilet seat raiser, urine can stain and cause an odor so I use a handiwipe in between my more vigorous cleaning. I gave Stability a three star merely to alert that it can move somewhat if one is not careful. That doesn't cause me an issue and I am 69 years old. I get up and down on it just fine. It is the most comfortable toilet raiser I have ever used. I love about this seat has a five inch height! Makes getting up and down so easy!

Not going to get stuck on the toilet with this!

Worked so much better than the hospital provided adult potty chair. Seat up, walker backed in, riser placed. Simple. Who wants to be stuck on a toilet. This works and is a lifesaver that I used both for the first and currently for my second knee replacement.

Does the trick, cost effective, and versatile.

It is cost effective and versatile for elongated or standard toilets. A seat solution that provides the rise. And it doesn't slip and slide around. Ez to clean and no installation needed as it just sits on the bowl. No lid, but can just remove it when done to close the lid on your normal seat. And, it is cost efective.
