Works great! You jus have to watch the video and follow the directions carefully.. one thing they left out of the directions is sanding the area where you are going to glue the contact to.. DO NOT USE SAME AREA WHERE IT FELL OFF OF... but you'll definitely see it in the video that they sanded the area even tho they didnt mention it.. once sanded then use alcohol wipe to wipe down and let it dry for a minute.. then use the special pad to wipe area.. wait 2 minutes.. while waiting, make sure to mix the bag of adhesive good.. then when two minutes up put drop of adhesive on each end of contact and push it onto area sanded.. hold for a minute and voila! Done.. make sure to check continuity on tab and grid and your good to go..

Did not do the job for me at all. I determined exactly on the wire that the break was located, and applied the Permatex per instructions. Did not work, even after repeating several times. The only noticeable change is that there is a localized warm spot right where the break in the grid was repaired, but the rest of the grid did not get warm. 2018-11-25 Returned to use this product as it seems to be the default product. Previous car owner had a evil cat who did great damage to the grid lines, with multiple breaks in each grid line due to hateful claws. after applying 3 coats to the detected breaks, as directed and waiting 24 hours before applying power, the multiple breaks were gradually restored to working state. The process had to be repeated several times, since the hateful feline would break grid lines in multiple places. I would like a private discussion with the cat.

Most of the headache from using this product isn't the product itself but it's from finding where in the lines the break is. I had a hairline break that was extrmeely hard to find and here's the trick to finding it. Steam up your windows and turn on the defroster. Look for the area where the windows does not defrost and while the defroster is on start going over it and look for a slight discoloration. Small hairline breaks in the line were easy to find this way on my car. After that follow the instructions in the packet, make sure you turn off the defroster and don't use it for 24 hours after applying the product. I applied 3 coats and now it works like new! Excellent product! The dealer wanted 500 to fix the defroster lines but this kit repaired it for less than 1/20th that amount!

Works well. I needed to do my entire window and this isn't enough for that; however, it does its job just fine. I would recommend buying two kits if you plan on fixing over twenty-five spots.

I highly recommend this! It works very well, if you follow the instructions! I had no problems other than trying to get the stencil template stuck on the window perfect. I got it figured out after a few minutes. If you are concerned about the thickness of the repair line, you can scrape the excess off with a glass scraper and get it pretty close, after it is dry. So, all in all, this product works well and if you use it as instructed will work well for you also!

i cleaned the area, i then removed the oxidation off the lines on both sides of the cut. i applied two coats on each strip and i then became a happy person. the dealer wanted to replace the entire window for $800.00 i could get a sub contractor to replace the same window for $400.00 i used this product for about $15.00 this product works great, fantastic. i recommend

I applied this a few days ago and so far it is working perfectly. It's as easy as nail polish to apply. I will update this review if it stops working so buy with confidence if this review hasn't changed.

Kit was complete and easy to use. Paint is supposed to be used above 50 degrees but I didn't have any trouble at less that that. Color is lighter than original but it's on the inside so no one can tell. It does not come with tabs. For most folks their tabs will still be in the end of the wires connecting the grid. Just reuse those.

This product does what it's supposed to do, assuming you apply it correctly, I recommend using electrical tape for the first 24 hours of adhesion to help keep the tab against the glass. So far it has lasted a month, and it didn't pull out when I gave it a tug. Though it's a fantastic product, I won't hold my breath on it lasting years, but at the price, I'd rather just keep buying this as needed. Thanks!

Worked like a charm and very easy to use! Didn't even know something like this product existed. Thought you had to replace the whole window. I had one line out on my rear defroster grid so I took it to the dealer to check. They said I had a scratch through the element and they could order a kit to fix my rear defroster for $120. That is when I looked it up on Amazon.
