It runs perfectly. Only makes a little bit of noise when it cleans out the tank, but it lasts for a few seconds and you can't hear it over the A/C unit. This thing saved me hundreds of dollars! My drain pipe doesn't connect to a main line and it was constantly creating blockage and overflow. With this thing hooked up, I have it draining out through the washer line. Problem solved.

Works great
This was a replacement for a previous pump that quit working, which we realized when we stared seeing water pooling under the furnace. The unit was easy to install, but that was partly because the furnace technician who diagnosed it had quickly run us through what we needed to do. The written instructions were not useful, and were confusing and contradictory. Thanks to the prior help and the simplicity of the unit, though, the written instructions didn't matter. It's really just a few bolts if you're doing a replacement, and if you pay attention to the removal, you'll be fine to replicate the setup with the new installation. If it's going on new, it does require its own outlet installed properly for being near a water source, and the cord is fairly short, so the outlet has to be right where it is being used. If you're adding on new, you'll need a professional electrician to put in/check the outlet to be sure that it's up to code. But if you're replacing, it's easy to do yourself. Also, if it's new, be sure that you have an outlet somewhere nearby for the water to go. The pump is fairly powerful in that aspect; ours is mounted on the side of the furnace about a foot above the floor, and the drain tube goes from there up to the ceiling and over a doorway to use a utility sink as the outlet, and we've never had trouble with water not making it the full distance and backing up in the tube. I was nervous about replacing it ourselves, but it turned out to be fine.

Quiet!
I bought this item to replace a similar pump, but different brand we had to pump water away from our furnace/central air system. We've had to replace these pumps every few years, which is fine, but this one is different. I don't know when it runs, even when I stand next to it! Only if I'm near the discharge, which is in the basement sink, do I notice the water being pumped. So nice. IMPORTANT: Remove the cardboard tab from inside the pump reservoir before use.

Dehumidifier Draining Solution
If you need a dehumidifier in your cellar and don't want empty it all the time, here you go. Put your dehumidifier up on a concrete block and have the hose run down to this pump. You can then run a hose from the pump up to the drain for your washing machine. Viola, You're all set. Little Giant is a very established and well known company for pumps. This is a good one.

These things may just run forever!!!
I've had several of these over the years and love them. I've found them to be ruggedly build and very dependable. The last one I had worked flawlessly for over 15 years of hard continuous use in my restaurant. For the first 10 years it served as the pump for my a/c condensate water removal and for the past 5 years it pumped melted ice water from my ice machine ice bin up into a sewer drain line that was a little higher off the ground than the ice bin drain outlet. I bought this new replacement unit, hooked it up, and I can only hope I get the same service from it as I did the last one. Does anything really last for 15 years anymore? We'll just have to wait and see how this little guy performs. By the way, I'm from the "old school" way of thinking and I never throw away anything that can be repaired, so I tore this old Little Giant apart to find out what part had failed me. Turns out, it was just the micro float switch (a tiny contact switch no bigger than half a postage stamp) had gone bad. When the float rises with the water level to the top of the tank, the circuit in the micro switch closes allowing electricity to go to pump motor turning it on and emptying the tank. The only thing wrong was the tiny copper contact points had corroded and when I tried to clean them they snapped in two. So I ordered a replacement part ($15 w/shipping), popped it in place (15 seconds) and it fired right up. I dare say this little guy is ready for another 15 years of service so I cleaned it up and put it in the empty box my new one came out of. Here it sits on the shelve... waiting for the day it gets put back into service. YES... I am a fan.

Replacing a Liberty pump for my NCB-240 combi boiler
bought this to replace my condensate pump used to remove water from my NCB 240-Combi boiler. My previous unit lasted about 2 yrs and was constantly giving me problems, until it finally went kaput. This thing is now working well so far and no issues, it's only been a few months so far. The pump is pushing water vertically UP about 6 ft and then another 4 feet in a downward slope towards the drainage pipe. During the winter, the pump probably runs at least 4x a day, I can't say for sure since I don't hang around down there to see how much water fills in and gets pumped out.

Great Pump
Powerful little condensate pump. Like all pumps that collect water and run intermittently, it is important that one use a stabilizer in the tank every few months (see Rectorseal Tablets). This one has the lift that it claims and does a great job. Quiet.

Works Fine as Replacement to 554006/VCM-15UL
Bought this to replace the equivalent model that was about 20 years old. They changed the float design. A also added a condensate pan cleaning tablet. Seems to work fine. If I get another 20 years I will be happy. Only complaint is that the screw spacing is a bit different - had to drill a new hole in the furnace to hold this new one.

Professional grade.
Major upgrade. I have water issues galore in my townhouse and 8 years ago came up with a solution. I have a condensate pump that dumps condensate as output from a little dehumidifier as well as overflow from a whole house humidifier as well as water from a very high water table. It all dumps into a plastic bin in a hole with this pump in it. The ones from the chair hardware stores would last 2 years... maybe 3. I've had this for only 6 months but the materials and workmanship is FAR better. Nice heavy duty and the pump is powerful enough I'm using it to pump all that water out my garden watering system! I love being an engineer.

Efficient and quiet.
Quiet and works great. Clear vinyl hose available from Lowe's/HD. The check valve is a great idea and nice touch. DO NOT try to pick up using the motor housing. You'll get it 6" off the floor and the water tank will fall off, defeating the purpose of having it in the first place.
