Let me put it this way: I do not have the most discriminating taste buds in the world. I dated a woman who would take a bite of butter and say "Num, this is good, the cows ate flowers on the north side of the barn". This was especially remarkable since we had zero idea where the tasty butter had come from. I on the other hand would announce, "Good butter. Very solid. No mold." This does save me a lot of money. Bottles of wine over $20 bucks are all wasted on me because I cannot pick out the toasted essence of pergola or whatever. If it doesn't have chunks, I'm good to go. In other words, my palate responds clumsily to food nuance. Don't get me wrong, this doesn't keep me from loving to eat. It just makes it a little less flattering when I tell the cook "Gosh that was delicious!" They look at me like they just got a compliment from a Labrador. Anyway, I preface this review with those personal insights to say "Yes, real Celtic Sea Salt is really good!" I can taste the difference. It's that significantly better than standard table salt or even other supposed sea salts (sorry, just because it's big lumps of salt doesn't make it any more authentic). The taste of Celtic Salt is a symphony, compared with table salt, which is like your nephew playing the plastic recorder. It's just that much richer of an experience. The first thing I noticed is that it didn't have that sharp one-note taste of table salt that anesthetizes your tongue. So basically I'm saying if I think it's great, you'll probably think it's really great!

I've been using this grey Celtic sea salt for about 8 or 9 years & it's a great foundational food for enhancing your overall health, a day at a time. It tastes great & this ground version is easy to use. Just fill your standard salt shaker & go. Great for table use and for all your cooking needs; I particularly like how it performs in baked goods (like home baked bread)--it adds an extra dimension of flavor. Unrefined salt like this is actually GOOD for you and can help people who are suffering from fatigue feel better (this is how my family came to discover it--a family member was suffering from Chronic Fatigue). Love being able to order this via Amazon's Subscribe & Save service--extremely convenient & the price is great!

I saw a gallon of alkaline water on sale in the department store for Like 6$. I didn’t buy it cause I’m not paying 6 bucks for a gallon of water but I did flip the bottle to the back to read the ingredients that made this magical alkaline water and it said “distilled water and Himalayan pink salt.” “Hmm,” I thought to myself, “ I’m gonna make super duper alkaline water!” So I got this Celtic sea salt cause the reviews say it’s even more awesome than pink salt, added it to distilled water and saved a bunch of money. You’re welcome.

I use this product to control my High Blood Pressure. Yep, that's what I said and that is what it does effortlessly. 1/4 teaspoon in a 32oz glass of water 3 times a day and I have not had any issue with HBP in over a year. Before using this I was needing to go on meds and did not want to do so as the side effects are terrible and once on HBP meds it is nearly impossible to get off of them. Heard about this "cure" online and thought it was worth a try. Have turned on several others to this and they have had the same results. I used to get HBP headaches daily and those are now a thing of the past. Of course, checking with your doctor before making any dramatic decisions is always wise. It is also the best salt to use for the complex flavor it adds to anything you put it on. Buy it, try it, enjoy it, live long and healthy.

We need minerals every day to balance our electrolytes - this product is all I use. You can add a pinch to your bottled water. Bottled water has No Minerals in them, unless you get electrolyte water. Potassium is very important to help with sugar metabolism daily. And I find this salt is not too salty when added to food. Unlike what most people think...Salt is Necessary in our diet and it doesn't give you high blood pressure. . Look up Harvard's last study. It is the kind of salt - Morton's Iodized salt is a chemical bath - get it out of your kitchen.

I love this salt. I don't use any other kind. I make an adrenal cocktail twice a day using 4 ounces of oj, a pinch of this salt and a pinch of cream of tartar (potassium). Since I've been doing this, I just feel better and more grounded. I got this recipe on the Magnesium Advocacy Group (Facebook). The guy that created the group is a really smart guy and knows that most are deficient in magnesium. The group is based on getting more mag and improving one's health. This cocktail is part of his protocol. I have learned so much from his research about the basic minerals we need and how our bodies use them. He does not sell products so it's not about that. He does try and help steer people in the right direction with what to get in our diets and what to get out of our diets. He's quite well informed, and I have benefitted from his basic protocol in terms of how I feel.

We've been using Celtic Sea Salt for 25 years and it is by far one of the best nutrition decisions we have ever made. The flavor is well rounded and mild and we are so used to quality salt that the "ordinary" cheap, white salt is noticeably harsh in comparison. We love the taste, but most of all we love the long, long list of trace minerals that balance out this salt. After 2+ decades of using it, my craving for salt has noticeably decreased because the nutritional needs that salt satisfies have been addressed. It is not white. A lot of people get this and are alarmed by the light grey color, thinking it is dirty. You should know that light grey is the color it is supposed to be and this doesn't indicate that anything is wrong. White is not a good color for salt and I have come to cringe when I see people using it. This fine ground variety is drier than the Coarse, Light Gray Celtic Sea Salt, and it can be used in a shaker. But be aware that it is still a bit coarser than ordinary table salt. It still does well in a shaker, though. We love this salt and are so glad that we can get it from Amazon now! :-D The only thing I'd advise it to pay attention to the price because it fluctuates significantly and it really pays to buy it low when available.

Very important for health to get dozens of trace elements, and Celtic has much higher mineral content than many brands. Use a variety of brands for a variety of mineral contents, but Celtic is one of the best. Read the book Salt Your Way To Health. This "fine" grain size is easier to sprinkle on foods than their "coarse" grain. Be sure to get your iodine elsewhere--I suggest seaweed for both iodine and trace minerals. (Read The Iodine Crisis.)

My husband and I have a farm and tend to sweat excessively when busy in summer heat. We use this salt with potassium citrate powder in our drinking water to aid in keeping our electrolytes stable. We have found it makes a world of difference in our energy levels. In Winter months we still use it on occasion as we work out to keep our fitness levels up ready for Spring activities. We very much prefer this natural salt vs the processed ones. Great for cooking too.

So far, so good. Researched a good bunch about salt and who would have thought that there could be so much that goes into good 'ol table salt. I have started incorporating Celtic into foods I cook as well as sprinkling on top and I feel good about the added nutrients that it has over stripped down table salt. A word of caution though to women(higher risk for hypothyroidism) or anyone with a family history of hypothyroidism. This salt is not a good source of iodine and that is something you def need. If you are switching from iodismes salt make sure to add on some sort of iodine supplement(ex: kelp) or you may develop an imbaalance and hypothyroidism once diagnosed is for life so you don't want to mess with your thyroid.
