Extremely pleased

I purchased this air purifier for a kitchen in a small apartment. Before buying this, I basically had to clean the kitchen every single day to deal with lingering smells. Now, I don't have that problem. This product is surprisingly effective. I no longer walk into the apartment and immediately smell old kitchen smells.

Best purchase ever

The people who live downstairs from us smoke & every morning our kitchen reeks of cigarettes. As a non smoker with 2 young children this drives me crazy. I honesty didn't expect much from this tiny thing.. the smell was Bad, like walking into an old dirty ashtray. I plugged it in right next to the garbage can & the next morning there was no smell! I'm amazed, its been about 4 days now & this may be my new favorite thing. You have no idea how awesome it is to not start my day disgusted with my own house. It even works on the stinky garbage when I forget to take it out.

Works like a charm!

I bought 2 of these after seeing them in my cousin's house. She has 2 smelly, but cute, dogs and I didn't detect an odor in her house so I knew I had to have some for myself. I bought 2. One for our front room where our one big girl, Darla, sleeps most of the time and the other for the living room beside her dog bed. I didn't previously detect an odor in my house from our dogs but was a bit paranoid that maybe I was just used to it. Needless to say I am pleased. I still don't detect an odor in my house from our dogs so I'm going to say they work. These have stayed lit and produce a light hum (think white noise) so I know they are running. I'm very happy with them and would not hesitate to purchase another one in the future if I need to add additional sanitizers to my home.

Great product!

Great for small areas. I recently move our cats litter boxes into a closet since we couldn't stand the odor. I have an electrical outlet in the closet since it's an old home. I have a cat door leading into the closet and with this unit the smell has been cut by 95%. The fan makes a slight noise but with the door closed we can't hear it at all.

Outstanding Little Germ Guardian PERFECT for Traveling!

I hesitated buying this because of the negative reviews about its light and noise...glad that I DID buy this! I'm sensitive to many things, including night light and sound, and found this well within my tolerance level, as well as working like a little champion! I took it to a recent trip to San Francisco staying in a time share--I immediately noticed the chemical smell from the cleaning supplies! I unpacked my little Guardian and plugged it in next to the bed, then left for dinner. Returned about 3 hours later and immediately noticed the absence of the cleaning smells! Wow! I had zero issue with the sound, in fact it was like a soft white noise that was soothing; the light was no issue for me either and could probably be taped over if needed. It was plugged in to the side and lower than my head, so maybe that made a difference. What was really impressive to me was that this was a 1 bedroom suite and this little Germ Guardian kept the entire place smelling fresh and clean, even with cooking and smoke from the CA fires! I use a full-sized ionizer at home -- I bought this unit specifically for traveling, and it did its job well, and was compact to fit in my suitcase. Very Happy with this purchase!

BRILLIANT

I am surprised it works so well because so often these “gimmicks” are just that! All hype and of no use. But, with a stinky cat box... I was willing to take a gamble. It worked so well...that I ended up buying another one for the bathroom. It makes a small amount of “mechanical” noise, but does not bother me at all and I’m pretty sensitive to annoying noises. It omits no strange odors whatsoever. You just smell the cleaner, fresher air. My only complaint is, I wish it were more aesthetically pleasing. It’s rather larger to put on the wall unless you put it near the floor. But if it’s at eyelevel... It’s a bit of an eyesore. Not terrible, but still. Would be great if they could invent one half the size. Also... I wish it were all white. Hate the gray.

Works almost too well...

Purchased this based on other reviewers stating that it works well on pet odors. Day 1 - Product arrives. Directions are clear. Plugged in next to the 2 litterboxes for our multiple cat household. Informed family that I was going to refrain from cleaning the boxes (a daily event) for a couple of days to "test" it. Day 4 - (Morning) Walks past litter boxes... oh dear God! Immediately cleans while apologizing to cats. This product works great!!!

Works as advertised!

This product is perfect to control pet odor! Our dog sleeps in our office at night, and every morning when I open the door I get punched in the face with the smell of dog and an overwhelming breath of dog fur. I wanted something to purify the air so I don't have to hold my breath to go into that room. I did not want to spend a ton of money so this product instantly appealed to me. The reviews were great so I decided to give it a try. The first day I noticed cleaner air and after a few days no more smell of dog!! The room is pretty small, around 10'x10'. I do notice a slight smell of dog if the door stays open all day so I try to keep it closed or at least just cracked to let this sanitizer do its job.

4 cats, 1 cat room

We have 4 cats, so the cat room gets a lot of use. Their room is about 12' x 12'. Cleaning it 3 times a week keeps the cat smell to a minimum outside of the room, but there has always been a noticeable scent in the room. Plugged this little gadget in 3 days ago, and there is a significant improvement in the smell. I wasn't sure what to expect since this is such a small and inexpensive device. But, I'm really impressed so far.

Exceeded my expectations!

We foster kittens in our finished basement. After our last litter had left and I had cleaned top-to-bottom, we still had a lingering smell of, well, kittens (poop, food, fur, puke, litter...), so I thought I'd try this. I plugged this bad boy in and then we boarded a plane and were out of the country for a week. When we returned - WOW!!! Not only is the kitten smell GONE, but the usual musty-basement smell is gone as well! I am in SHOCK!!!! The basement smells better than ever!!!!! It's hard to explain, but it just smells so clean and pure. Like being at the top of a mountain, I suppose. I'm buying half a dozen more of these to put around the rest of the house. I really didn't expect this little thing to do that great of a job, but I am seriously impressed.
