Rum cake

This is a moist, rum flavored cake. You can smell the rum when uou open the package but it doesn't o erpower the flavor or taste in my opinion. I first had this when I picked one up at a Florida airport and loved it and have brought back often for friends when visiting Florida.. It's a big hit. Almost as good as my homemade one and a lot less work.

Repeat purchaser

I didn't get but a small bite of this one this time. Everyone ate it before I could get back to it. I was so disappointed. I ordered another this week and will hide it in my room. No sharing this time. One of ny favorite dessert since having one on a cruise to the Bahamas in 2005. I often gift these to others as well.

Always a hit as a gift for someone you really like, but you don't know what they need or want. They never refuse these cakes. They are moist and flavorful. I think the first one I bought was from the Grand Caymans, or perhaps St. Martin.

Love these

Originally my family got a cake down in the Caribbean while on vacation. It didn't take us long to eat the entire medium sized cake so we ended up purchasing 2 once we got back. One for us and one for my sister. They are good to eat right away but are sealed nice and tight so they stay moist even when you go to eat them in a month or two after purchase.

I had received a small gift sized one of these and had to have another. I couldn't find them locally, even though they are in my city. So low and behold, Amazon had these at a fair price. I have had many different rum cakes, even homemade ones from Jamaica, and this has the rum taste but and the density of the cake is a bit lighter, almost like pound cake.

LOVE this cake!!

This cake is absolutely divine. So moist and yummy! It's pricey though, but so good, that I got hooked. I now make my own rum cake which is equally delicious and less expensive. Other than price, I highly recommend this cake.

best rum cakes ever, and i've had alot

through all my travels, even through the Caribbean, this is the best store-bought rum cake i've ever had. this rum cake will NOT get you drunk, which makes it fun to eat and even more fun to order since it contains no alcohol (cooks out and down to less than 1% per manufacturers website, see for yourself). I'm constantly deployed to the middle east so this is a fun treat to order.

I bought this rum cake as a gift, she has a sweet tooth and mentioned Jamaican rum cake. I tried to order the cake from Jamaican restaurants close by but they wanted to charge me $50-$75 for a freshly made rum cake and I had to order it a week in advance, so this purchase was amazing and came in a few short days. Made a great bday present

tasty, light, sweet cake.

This is only my second taste of a rum cake. This one is quite different from the other. This one has a sweeter, lighter taste. The rum taste is very mild, for me it is almost undetectable. I guess this is due to the difference in this being make with "gold rum" whereas the other was made with "dark rum". The cake base itself is a bit lighter in texture as well. More like what I am used to in most cakes. Is it good? Well, the answer to that is that I ate the entire thing in two days because it kept calling to me from the 'fridge. [grin/]. If you want a strong taste of rum, then this cake is not likely to be your choice. But if you just want a tasty "bundt" cake, it is quite good.
