It fit fine (straps were totally long enough
I bought this to use with our California king sized bed so my toddler wouldn’t roll off anymore. It fit fine (straps were totally long enough...not sure why this isn’t advertised as fitting king beds). I love that it easily folds down and slides under the mattress so that it doesn’t have to stay up all the time (very helpful for making the bed or just when you want the room to look nice). It is also very sturdy. My 2 1/2 year old climbs on it all the time and it’s holding up well so far.

Just what we needed
Update: We still use ours constantly and we just bought a 2nd one for naps at the grandparents house. Great product! I'm actually using this right now. My 2 year old is napping on our queen size bed and I have the netted railing up so I have never fear of him falling off. Installation was easy when I followed the directions and I LOVE that it just tucks away under the mattress when we're not using it. It stands up about 13in above the top of our standard mattress (not pillow-top). When I first installed it, I rolled against it myself (200+lbs adult) and felt secure. The rail locks into position and keeps close against the mattress without a gap. We positioned ours in the center of the side of the bed, so there is a 10in space to the headboard, and 18in open space to the footboard, but it's totally adjustable depending on what you want. When put it away, the edges do stick out a little bit so I just lift up the top mattress and shoved them in a little bit till I want to use it again. If I leave them out sometimes I bump my leg so I just shoved them between the mattresses. It takes two seconds and no more hitting my leg. Fantastic product, we'll worth the money!

Suits my needs!
I bought this for my daughter, who is a real mover and shaker at night! Previous to this purchase I tried numerous tricks to keep her on her bed at night, or minimize the the fall when she fell off her bed while sleeping! The set up for this was relatively easy, just a few parts to put together , no special ability or tools required. Construction feels very sturdy, and has held up well since placing on her bed a few weeks ago. The length is good! It covers almost the entire length of her twin sized bed. There is a small gap at the head as well as at the foot, that have not proved to be a problem, actually it gives her a nice space to slip by and get into bed. The flip down feature does work, but we do not use it. We leave it upright always, as I don't see the need for it given our current situation. But if you would like to use it, it does function as specified. Overall very good product and has given me peace of mind, not having to worry about where on the floor I'll have to pick up this kid in the morning! Hope this helps!

It's not the most beautiful thing, but it's reasonably high-quality and it keeps ...
My geriatric dog has slept with me his entire life, so when he started falling off the foot of the bed in his sleep a few months ago, I couldn't bring myself to banish him to the floor. Instead, I ordered this and set it up lengthwise across the foot of my queen-sized mattress. It's not the most beautiful thing, but it's reasonably high-quality and it keeps my dog from hurting himself, which makes me happy.

Perfect fit for a king bed...
I am currently sleeping in the middle of a king bed with a co sleeping infant on one side and occasional toddler sleeper on the other side. I was excited to find a extra long bed rail and bought two for both sides. I love it! Set both up tonight only took about a half hour by myself(with a toddler helper not doing much help) two people could put one together and set up in no time. Fits perfectly for a king bed and is a perfect length almost covers the whole side. Extremely happy and well worth the money!

Fits a KING SIZE BED!
I just wanted to write a review to let everyone know that it does in fact fit a king size bed. In the description it says that it only fits up to a queen size. But we just put it on our king and it fits!

I made it work with a slatted Queen bed frame!
I really wanted this hideaway version as we’re using it on a queen bed in our guest room. After a little research and “engineering” we figured out how to get this to work with our slatted bed frame (without a box spring). We bought 2 long pieces of wood from Home Depot (they will cut your wood for free) and had them cut it into 4 pieces to fit the spaces in between the slats. See the photos I uploaded for details. This is was cheaper than a couple sheets of plywood since none will fit a queen properly a and didn’t create any additional bulge. Costed me all of $7 additional to make it work. Just make sure you measure the gaps properly and allow an additional 5/8” for the plastic piece that needs to anchor the rail in place.

Great bedrail - easy to assemble and install
Purchased this bed rail after my 2 year old fell out of bed while sleeping and broke her clavicle. Needless to say, after her injury my daughter refused to sleep in her bed. We decided to try a rail and turn her bed into a boat. The rail was easy to assemble and install. It is sturdy and has kept her safe and in her bed for almost a week. When "hiding" the rail, I noticed the mattress shifted and I had to readjust the rail. It wasn't a big deal, more of a nuisance. Now we keep the rail up. She can still easily climb in and out of her bed. She still moves all over her bed while sleeping, but I don't worry about her falling out any more.

Perfect for long bed , rolling babies
Ok just got it installed , took me a minute the directions were ehh , to save some trouble it should have just said alight the rails on the side and pull up on the top to secure it . So remember that lol But overall I think it's going to work perfect . It leans inward and you can put a lot of weight against it and it doesn't budge . Also I have it on a long and still tightened it up and had about 3-4 inches of slack on the cords .
