OXO quality at a reasonable price. This allows for use in a variety of pans, the collapsible handle allows for easy removal of loaded steamer without interference of the pot lid. Easy clean up and storage. I would, without hesitation rerecommend this product to a friend or family member.

Fits perfectly in my 6 qt. I love how it folds up. The handle is great for lifting things out. We've used it for ears of corn, hardboiled eggs, and to steam vegetables for baby food. The handle does get hot so make sure to wear oven mitts. It's dishwasher safe so very easy to clean. It's my favorite Instant Pot accessory.

I don't know where this has been all my life. I had so many pots and pans of different sizes and only one bulky, ugly steamer. I wanted to steam smaller quantities and not make such a huge mess of things in the kitchen that I would later have to clean up. When I received this product, I immediately steamed some vegetables in a small pot. This worked so perfectly! It fits all my pots and pans. I can steam small carrots to huge artichokes. It makes it so easy to eat healthy and not have to fuss with huge pots. It's easy to clean and I haven't had any rust problems at all. I also wash it and dry it immediately, which probably cuts out having that problem.

I LOVE THIS THING! I make gyoza/dumplings often, and was thinking about replacing my old bamboo steamer, when i saw this item i had to try it. My biggest issue with my bamboo steamer was buying liners or fashioning some way to keep the food from sticking or falling through the slats. This item solves that whole problem and is more efficient too! I can place the dumplings right on the steamer with only a bit of oil brushed on to keep it from sticking. I use it double stacked in my 12 inch diameter stock pot with the legs extended on the bottom steamer to hold it out of the water, and remove the handle so i can stack a second steamer on top of the first. -I have no problem with the handles on my steamers, you twist them to remove or replace them, and if you press on them they lock in the down position and press them again and they pop up to the full extended position. -The folding blades adjust to every size pot in my kitchen, i have used it in a 8 inch pot, a 10 inch skillet and a 12 inch stockpot. - I have found it best to clean this steamer in the dishwasher though! The first time i tried to hand wash it the folding blades shredded my kitchen sponge!

Well, who knew a simple steamer basket could be full of so many features?! Extension handle? Check. Slot in handle for easy-lift with fork tines to prevent burns? Yep. Folding, long feet for steaming without soaking? Done. I love OXO and this is no exception. Using it in my instant pot and it's perfectly useful.

The redesigned handle eliminates the problem people were having with the handle popping up causing lids to launch. The new, redesigned handle telescopes in or out with slight detents on each of the 3 sections of the handle. This allows the handle to "lock" in the fully extended position if you so choose. It easily collapses with a slight push down. This works GREAT with pressure cookers. The handle has a slot in the T part so you can slip the tines of a fork through it to assist with lifting it out of the cooking pot. Larger than the average steamer so this might be a drawback to some. I primarily use it with my electric pressure cooker which is 8 qts.

I wanted a nice steamer basket that was larger to put in my Instant Pot, which does have a rack with handles, but food falls through unless it's larger cut. I am so happy with this basket! The handle in the center is telescopic, and the legs fold up for, say, shorter pots. It is made very nice and sturdy. OXO products all seem to be made very well. If you're looking for a heavy duty steamer basket, especially for using in the electric pressure cookers, look no further, this is it!

VERY pleased with is purchase, and glad I caught it on Black Friday sale. I've used it once in my 6 qt. Instant Pot and was pleased with the outcome. It's neat that it folds down into a small footprint but is actually large when in use (though flexible in sizing). A relative saw it recently when visiting and decided they wanted to order one too. Definitely recommend this item. Note the handle can be removed if you do not want to steam with it attached. I've yet to buy an Oxo product I didn't like.

This works quite well, and is definitely more sturdy than the cheap versions that I had for years (that kept breaking...). This one is one of the winning steamers as rated by www.cooksillustrated.com, who wrote: "Roomy and collapsible, this basket comfortably held fish, broccoli, and dumplings. Our only quibble? The long pop-up handle. To cover the pot—a spacious Dutch oven—we had to depress the basket’s handle into the “down” position; removing the basket meant reaching into the hot steam to pop the handle back up." For a different style of steamer, they also recommend the Joyce Chen 3-piece Bamboo Steamer. I also want to note that I have 1000% confidence in the OXO brand. They have AMAZING customer service. I removed the handle from a cheese grater that was supposed to be permanently attached (oops - I didn't realize it), and even though it was completely my mistake, they shipped me a new one free of charge. They also replaced a kitchen scale after it broke after very very heavy use. (Now KitchenAid, are you listening???!!! Ooops, got off topic there...)

Very well built, and LOVE that it's so hard to burn yourself using this thing, Thankfully, due to the long handle in combination with the plastic. Long legs allow for amble water and plenty of steam time. I honestly believe I won't be purchasing another steamer for some time, and I'm quite happy about that.
