A Huge Life Saver
I recently got one of these for my DIY Studio, it honestly has been a huge life saver with how versatile it is and I would recommend it to anyone. I've been using it for a Condenser Microphone (which needs the 48v cord), Yamaha Synthesizer, Akai S900 Midi Sampler, and my Electric Guitar/Bass. I have outputs going to The Midi Sampler I previously spoke of, a Cassette tape recording machine, and my computer for when I'm actually putting the tracks together that I've been trying to work on for a year now. The only downside is that it gets very noticeably hot, meaning it could potentially lead to a fire if not treated with the utmost care. To get rid of that flaw put it on a solid surface rather something like a rug and have it in a moderately cooled room. If you don't have a surface like that or a central air unit then lean it up on an angle so the backside gets ventilated well and do not use it on a horribly hot day. FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO ARE READING THIS TO FIGURE OUT EXACTLY WHAT IT IS: This mixer is, at its basics, a very simple piece of tech that you use as a place to plug all of your equipment into for having it all easily accesible and having it all essentially be plugged into either a recording means or playback means. The mixer has built in pre-amp functionalities which, preamps mainly exist to get rid of that hiss you hear from ANY microphone. This specific mixer comes with about 6 different sound effect varieties that you can layer onto your individual pieces of equipment. This comes in use when you're looking for a sound on a piano that you might find through the pitch shifting effects or when you want to make yourself sound like your in a cave without having to BE in one. There is also a set place for plugging in RCA cables meaning if you wish to sample from CDs, DVDs, VHS tapes, vinyls, cassettes, or even old school video games then you can with ease. I will note that If you're trying to use this with anything like a 3-way wireless microphone kit it WILL NOT get rid of the hiss. I had a kind of old wireless kit that I really wanted to use to capture a specific sound and/or my drum kit but the hiss was too obnoxious to even allow me to work around. Not really a problem with this though, mostly a problem with outdated means of transferring sound without the use of wires.

Clean Sound - A Great Addition to the Bose L1 Model II with ToneMatch
I have a Bose L1 Model II with a ToneMatch. I decided that I wanted more inputs, so I got this 1202fx. I'm very impressed. I adjusted the EQ and got virtually the same sound I was used to with the Bose. I plugged the mixer into one channel of the Bose, but decided to use the mixer's effects ... and again, after experimenting to find what I wanted, it was virtually the same sound. I could hear no hum, no noise, no distortion ... nothing except a clean sound ... like I had been used to with just the Bose. This is light, a small footprint ... and the price is right!

Very nice. I had to download and print the effects list. It did not come with the product. Also, must pictures of this item shows a blue power on button and blue dual 7-segment display, mine were amber... strange or an update?...can't tell. Other that that ... works great.

This little mixer is perfect for small gigs or as I use it for ...
This little mixer is perfect for small gigs or as I use it for a drum mixer. All the features of the bigger boards in a compact unit that fits easily in the gig bag. The only complaint I have is the WART power supply which as we all know is one of those items that will become lost sooner or later. Need a few extra channels on your existing mixer or just a small board for that acoustic gig this is the answer. Our main (12ch) board took a dump last week, halfway through the first song. Grabbed this little life saver out of the gig bag, 5 minutes (and a handful of adapters) later had our band back up and running. 3 vocals, 2 guitars, bass DI and kick. New sticker on the gig bag "In case of fire break glass!!

A great mixer at a great price
A great mixer at a great price. I've been performing professionally for over 35 years & have always prided myself on having the best & most reliable gear. I'd looked down on Behringer until I heard a buddy using this at a gig. I was surprised how great it sounded with no hiss or noise. I've been using mine for over five years. It's dependable, easy to use with good effects & better than the Mackie I replaced it with.

Professional Sound and feel for the consumer
I am very pleased with this mixer, especially at this price point. Preamps are quiet with a lot of headroom. I'm creating a Digital Audio Workstation for home recording and this Mixer does the job very well. I've read others complaining about the FX (including Echo and Reverb). IMHO, I purchased a 12/2 inexpensive mixer. The FX settings are from 00 to 99 and isn't well defined in the documentation. During a practice session, I experimented with each one to get an idea of how they sound. For a mixer at this price point the FX is very good. Echo and Reverb are the best I've heard so far. Of course, this isn't like the cheaper units out there where FX is in line. FX on this unit is a remix and is added to your existing sound. The volume of the remix (FX Volume on main) will affect the sound greatly. I would recommend this to anyone who is creating a home recording studio and wants a really nice sounding mixer with lots of headroom and easy to use. This mixer is well worth the investment.

Little mixer that's feature-rich and power packed!
We are using this mixer for dual purposes. It primarily serves as a road mixer for performing in a coffee house setting. An acoustic guitar, two vocals and mic'd congas is our setup. It provides clear, crisp sounds for each line out. The built in effects do not feel digitized and help fatten the sounds of each line. We also use this as a basic mixer for a podcast. It provides a great sound for the mic and helps create a nice robust sound that presents itself much fuller than the setup would seem. I highly recommend this little mixer for anyone who needs something "on the go."

Great mixer, great effects
Great mixer, great effects, does get hot so it is best to use it on wire mesh stand or shelf so it can breathe. It will not overheat is ventilated on all sides. Also supplies phantom power for condenser microphones. The variety and quality of great effects is why I give it 5 stars.

Great mixer for podcasting/recording using Audacity (works well with Linux)

Great mixer at a reasonable price.
This is my first mixer so it took me a while to learn all of the functions but now that I'm familiar with it I really like it. I use it to to mix my Hammond XK-1c organ, Korg B1 digital piano, Yamaha MX49 synth, Korg percussion synth and my iPad. I send the stereo output to two small amplifiers or my home theater. I'm still not completely familiar with all the features but my one complaint is the lack of a stereo headphone output. There is a 1/4" "Phones" jack but it's either defective or I'm not using it correctly. When using headphones I plug them into my home theater system.
