solid, well-made
Does what it says it does. It's a chunk of hardened sharpened steel. The first thing I thought when I took it out of the package was "this looks like a murder weapon". I had to cut the rotten floors out of my El Camino (first time doing that) and this plus some spot weld cutters made it, not easy, but I was able to get it done. I don't know what I'll use this for in the future, since I'm never going to do body work again, but it's already paid for itself. It looks like it would last a lot longer than I used it for.

Very High Quality for the money!!
I hesitated to buy this Seam Buster, now that I’ve had it for a few months I just question why I went so long without it. The reason why I hesitated is the price, you usually get what you pay for, not with this though. This right here is tougher than I thought it was going to be. I have resharpend this like maybe 2 times, and even then it doesn’t take more than a few seconds. I saw some reviews talking about the handle grip sliding, mine hasn’t had any problems yet. Even if this bar didn’t have a grip at all it would be worth getting. The top does start to “mushroom head” a little but it’ll stop after a little bit, it helps anyway, so you have less chances of missing and smashing your hand. If you’re looking into buying one, don’t hesitate and just get this one, you will not regret it.

Most used autobody tool ever
My used straight one has been beat to the stars and back and I mean BEAT, and it is still perfect! I will resharpen it if I ever need to but I'm not sure I ever will. I've done about 100ish spot welds with the used straight and that's its condition. It went on sale and I couldn't help but buy a second one. Also bought the 90 degree one which will be very handy when I get the the rear quarters and wheel tubs on my current project. Steck just makes top notch autobody tools, period.

Seam Buster Chisel
Wow I bought this not knowing what to expect. It makes a huge difference in separating the metal. I am on my first project restoring a 67 mustang so it may have been my lack of knowledge overall but this tool had made it a lot easier than the other ways I was trying. I have hammered this hard and it hasn't bent yet. Just be careful as it is sharp and you could hammer this into good metal if your not paying attention. ( speaking from experience)

My " Go To " tool
Simplicity rules. I have high priced spot weld "broaches" , solid carbide three flute bits, spot weld cutters, and this tool is my "go to". It works amazingly well, better than I ever expected. If I only had one tool for the job, this would be it. Pound it in, pound it along the seam, and it really doesn't damage the steel. Or' use your cutting tools to remove the weld, but it is difficult to always get all the weld. This tool is the best way to find the welds and to finish after you've drilled them. Great tool. Buy one, you'll be very glad you did !!

This works pretty well, and seems quite sturdy
This works pretty well, and seems quite sturdy. I noticed that it is easy to chop through sheet metal, so keep a close eye on it if you are attempting to remove a body panel for re-use. When separating spot welds, it tends to deform the outer layer of metal, but leaves the underlying structure fairly straight. Again, something to keep in mind if you intend to re-use the panel.

really handy for breaking spot welds, even ones that were drilled but still needed a little encouragement to split. It almost works too well because it's actually easy to cut sheet metal with this tool even if not trying to do that, so when using it just use extra caution so you dont accidentally cut metal that you didn't intend to.

It is strong enough where it can be used like a big can opener to remove damaged sheet metal
This chisel works very well for removing panels with a minimum amount of damage after the spot welds have been drilled out. It is strong enough where it can be used like a big can opener to remove damaged sheet metal. Would definitely buy again.

OUTSTANDING QUALITY TOOL FOR SPLITING SEEMS THAT ARE SPOT WELDED
This tool (I have all three shapes) makes splitting spot welded seams open, after your have used the spot weld cutter to break the bond created by spot-welding a metal seam together. I would HIGHLY recommend that you add it to your body-working tools.

I'm amazed at how good this worked at cutting the spot welds I missed drilling
I've only removed one panel from my 57 chevy truck, but this worked so well in getting to the missing drilled out spot welds. And I didn't need to beat the heck out of it to cut them loose. Good quality heat treated tool steel.
