Took less than 10 minutes to strip wires, attach to lamp base, screw in protective top, and assemble rest of lamp.

Perfect Fit And Replacement....Can't Beat It...

I have a 3 way floor lamp in the den where I work...The original switch/socket started to go a couple of weeks ago where you had to play with it to get it to light, shut off...I opted to find the right one here on Amazon as opposed to locally for I knew I would be able to find exactly what I wanted...This socket and housing matches perfectly, and it was an easy install...Just one footnote..I was the one that asked the question here about whether the screws on this were at the bottom of the socket or on the sides...Although all the answers I got said it was on the bottom, the socket I received had the attachment screws on the side of the socket, not the bottom...I was only asking for the old socket I replaced had the attachment screws on the very bottom and I was concerned side connections wouldn't work for there wouldn't be room to screw it all together...But the screws on the side are indented and the socket slipped down and screwed together just fine...A little snug but still easy enough. A quick look on the Home Depot site showed nothing that matched this at the moment, and the price here was very reasonable...Altogether this worked perfectly for me..Ordered on a Thur and arrived on Sat with Prime...Can't beat it...Very much recommended..

Very good product

Perfect as a replacement for an existing 3-way or to upgrade a lamp to 3-way. We lucked out with our lamp pair having the lower half of the existing non-3 way socket screw into the top of the new GE socket. Didn't have to remove anything from the lamp rod. Could not be easier.

Worked great and SUPER easy to install. I'm going to order a couple of these to have on hand. Out dogs manage to knock over our table lamps periodically. If they break, this is the part that needs to be replaced. Great product so I don't have to buy new lamps every couple months.

Easy fix for flickering

My old light switch in my lamps from Target all wiggled so much, and weren't solid that I had the expensive 3 way bulbs constantly going out because of it. I saw these, and replaced only the socket part that the electrical lines are connected to. Now no wobbling, flickering lights, or broken bulbs!

Great 3-way replacement lamp socket, easy to install

For the price at around $5 each these 3-wat lamp sockets are well made and east to install as both new or to replace a broken socket, the black plastic shell is threaded in the center so splits into 2 parts, the bottom is threaded to fit a standard lamp mount, it has a lock screw to hold it in position one located. I just replaced one in a lamp and was pleased at the simple install.

Sturdy and Built To Last

I have a lamp that I use to read by, so I tend to use high wattage bulbs. The cheap cardboard sockets really don't like bulbs much over 100 watts, so they then to break down and stop working after a short period of time, forcing me to replace the socket. This socket, however, has stood up well for a long time even when using a 250 watt incandescent.
