We installed this in boyfriend's rental house, it's very quiet on low, and very tolerable on high. He said the install was relatively easy, once he found the right adjustable ductwork to get this one's centered cowling to line up (old fan was original with the manufactured home and was slightly off-center). Nice clean, simple design - the black just fades into the background. Going to purchase one for my home to replace the 37-year old noisy fan hood with peeling paint.
Looks great in our modern kitchen. However, it didn't come with a damper and I didn't know to order one. So, a last-minute run by my contractor was required. The orange hardware store didn't carry the 7-inch damper, but the blue one did. It was only $10. So all in all, our new hood was a good deal.
Standard, no frills vent hood. It has the same dimensions as the company has used for 30-40 years now, which is good if you are replacing an old on with a new one. Note that there is no electrical cord. If you are using this to replace an old one, you have to move the cord from your old unit to the new one or hard wire depending on your setup. Also, vent flaps are not included. You will need to buy separately. I did not think the fan was especially loud as some reviewers have said. This is the low cost option after all.

One minor issue was the Br87 damper recommended. It didn't fit with the 7 inch exhaust pipe and the unit, though it should have, so we left it off. The original unit didn't have a damper and it was fine for 41 years. The damper is a non returnable item on Amazon so be sure you'll use it before you decide to buy it. Customer service was extremely helpful and credited my account anyway. I'm very grateful.
For the price, you cannot beat the appearance of this range hood. It is a very basic range hood with a light switch on/off button, and a high/off/low fan speed switch. What I do not understand is how this range hood can be sold at such a low price and yet have such a nice brushed stainless finish. I am a well pleased customer.
Got it for under $24 amazon warehouse deal. All works as should. Good air flow still have to vent it outside. I got it to vent my cooking appliances I use on the counter. Put a cord on it to plug it in and hung it with chains so can adjust still have to vent it outside but plugged it in to test. It will get the job done, pulled away all smoke. Had few dents and a small scratch but no big deal easy to bend back. No complaints. Update: Have vented and it works great. Pulls all smoke out no problem. Great deal
This unit isn't top of the line but can't go wrong. Fewer parts to go to break down. Shape is the key. The corners don't stick out to poke you when you come around the corner. It is basic, looks good and works very well and the install is lift and push. Nice job. Thanks.
Just received this last Friday & my son installed it yesterday. Looks great & works great! Very good quality...definitely recommend it. It was cheaper thru Amazon than at Lowe's & faster delivery!
I was worried that the quality was not going to be very good as the cost was very (very) reasonable, but as it turned out- it works absolutely perfectly, and looks really nice in stainless steel. You can put an energy-efficient bulb in it, and it gives off a tremendous amount of light, much better than the funky greasy nasty old range hood that I was using previously. This has proven to be the best value of any kitchen item I have, and I appreciate using this on a daily basis... each and every day. I highly recommend this item. The seller was quick to ship. AAA+ thank you...!
