• 150 psi max tank pressure stores more air in the tank for longer tool run times
  • 2.6 SCFM at 90 psi allows for quick compressor recovery time, per ISO1217
  • Six-gallon pancake-style tank for stability, includes water drain valve and rubber feet
  • Low-amp 120-volt motor starts easily in cold weather or with extension cord
  • Durable oil-free pump for long life and no maintenance

This compressor was purchased for one main purpose to maintain the tires in my RV properly inflated. It does a great job, it fits perfectly in a compartment on the side of my RV directly under a 115v outlet. So I can run it inside compartment no extension cord and it is so quiet because compartment absorbs sound like a sponge. I used a plug-in meter that monitors volts, amps, watts, hertz, watt hour and my RV is connected to my home via shore wire. Here are results: No load voltage 119.2, load voltage 110.6, watts varied from 1068 to 1100 as pressure increased, amps varied from 9.6 to 10.1 by pressure. I also have a 1200 watt inverter however I will need to upgrade to run compressor to a 2000 watt pure sine wave. I advise never to run compressor on a modified inverter the sine wave is almost square and it will ruin your compressor motor right quick. I am extremely happy with my compressor, perfect blend of size, power and prize.

I am very impressed with this little compressor. Components have a quality feel and it appears well built. Cut out was exactly at 150psi and all fittings were leak tight. Tank pressure dropped about 10 psi over the first hour as the tank cooled, but then held steady at 140 psi for over 24 hours with no observable change, which is really great in my opinion. Noise and vibration level is typical for this type - you will not want to be right beside it without hearing protection for more than a minute or two and it will shift around a bit on a smooth surface like concrete despite having rubber feet. Regulator knob is stiff but can be set very precisely. Handle is well designed so its easy to carry. For under $90 at Amazon it's hard to beat this one.

I used this compressor along with a new brad/staple nailer I purchased at the same time. After reading the instructions and setting up the compressor, it ran like a champ and cut off when it was supposed to. I must say the compressor is a bit noisy but I expected this to be so. I love how portable it is, that it was easy to set up and operate and it will be a great addition to my tool collection. I cannot yet speak for the durability of this product but the initial use was great.

The instructions are not clear on this point, but DO NOT neglect the break-in period. Before the first use, run the compressor with the pressure valve open for at least 15 minutes. Only then, close the valve and allow the tank to come up to pressure.

Great little unit for the price. Manual/ directions are almost useless. Dont forget to do the break in period, no much mention if it in the manual. Open pressure valve on bottom of tank and run tank for 15 minutes. Then close it up and your good to go.

I love this air compressor. I upgraded from a very small Craftsman 1.5 Gallon oil-free air compressor that I used for trim carpentry, and recently started using for car detailing to blow-out water hiding in cracks and crevices. The smaller compressor's capacity was too small, and the motor would run constantly, deafening me in the process. In addition, the curly-Q style air hose was a pain in the butt and would get tangled. This Porter Cable 6-Gallon air compressor is much nicer and allows me to work longer without hearing the motor constantly running. The included air hose is straight, not curly, and is very supple, easy to work with, and doesn't tangle. The include air gun adapter is also very nice and doesn't leak or un-thread itself like my last one. The size is just right and its not too heavy to move around when you need to. As for the noise. Why do people even ask about this? ALL air compressors are loud!! Especially if you're working in a room or on flat surfaces where the sound is amplified. If you're outside and standing 4' away from this, its bearable. Any other scenario, I'd highly recommend hearing protection. Check out ClearArmor 141001 Shooter's hearing protection headset as it does an amazing job.

This product has exceed my expectations, worked right out of the box, and fits nicely in my trunk. New to the compressor game, I didn't know what to expect, but I was able to plug it in and fill my car tires while it filled the tank. No leaks, the gauges work, and it's not loud (was worried about that). It's about as loud as my friends HDX 3 Gal. compressor he purchased from Home Depot for $130, but twice as efficient. I will update as time goes on, but was blown away by my first impression.

Purchased this to replace a small 2 gallon compressor I'd had for years, but wanted something larger. This compressor get up to pressure much faster than my old smaller compressor and pumping up car tires is a much quicker process now which is exactly what I wanted. I do intend to eventually get a few small nail guns to use on projects around the house and garage and this one should work with those just fine as well. I will tell you though....it is pretty loud when it runs. Many times I'll set it outside the garage door when I turn it on so the sound isn't confined to the enclosed garage. Other than it being louder than I wish it was, it works great, does what I want it to do, and seems like a quality built product.

I bought this Porter Cable Oil Free Air Compressor to use with my finish nail guns. I got tired of lugging around my old Craftsman 33 gallon air compressor for small jobs and I needed something that's more easily portable. This Porter Cable Pancake Air Compressor fits my needs, works very well and is much easier to carry. It is still somewhat noisy, but it does maintain good air pressure, which is not bad for a 100 Dollar air compressor. It arrived in excellent condition and on time. I am very pleased with my purchase.

AWESOME compressor! I absolutely love this pancake compressor, and the ease and convenience it provides is remarkable. Make sure you hold your compressor on an angle to drain any water build up each time you are done using it. You don't want any rust to form inside your tank and cause it to burst later on because of misuse. This tank builds up pressure quickly and doesn't need to run for very long to keep constant pressure. I use this for 3 main purposes, a 3" framing nailer, a 2" finish nailer and for blowing dust and dirt out of various items. I highly recommend this air compressor.
