its fun but more for small children. My son, 15, needs something more for adults... the program is based on games but games more interesting for small children in my opinion

My son adores this CD Rom! I thought he would be bored by it easily, but he loved it and wanted to keep playing past time when home school ended. He is only 7 but he thought it was so fun and really felt motivated to keep going to the next level and get faster and less mistakes. He is already typing 18 wpm! Much better than I was when I began learning!I highly recommend this program for anyone, any age. My 12 year old will be learing to type properly next. The shipping was fast and everything arrived as expected!

A really good program for young people, I bought it for a developmentally disabled person and they are both having fun and slowly learning to type.

My seven-year-old son says Jump Start Typing isn't as much fun as Pokemonon his Nintendo DS, but, really, what is? With a bit of encourgement he does practice typing for 10 - 20 minutes a day. I'm seeing progress, although it is still early. The designers understand both kids and typing. They have exercises where he can practice only home-row keys, one at a time, and then gradually move to more complicated exercises that use more letters and have them in combinations rather than individually. Since the exercises are all games, they hold his attention longer than smple practice would. The graphics seem to have been designed for old computers and not updated. They're not bad, but they don't fill the screen. There's a rectangle in the middle where the picture is, with a big dark rim around it. I'd prefer to have it updated to use modern monitors. For the price, it is a good deal. Fancier graphics would probably cost more money.

This tutorial is fun for me and my grandchildren and would spend time with it even if I didn't want to improve my typing skills to using at least four fingers. Thank you.

Bought for my granddaughter she liked it.

We purchased these for our school in rural Swaziland Africa. Our school does not have access to the internet (they just recently got access to electricity!) and it was very difficult finding software that did not require the internet. THANK YOU very much for offering this so our orphans can learn!

Fun program for kids 5-9 especially boys, Mine thought it was just as fun as any DS game. And it did help them to learn the keyboarding positions and speed up on their keyboarding skills.
